Job 28
1 For there for silver [is] a mine and a place for gold [which] people refine.
१“चाँदी की खानि तो होती है, और सोने के लिये भी स्थान होता है जहाँ लोग जाते हैं।
2 Iron from [the] dust it is taken and stone someone pours out copper.
२लोहा मिट्टी में से निकाला जाता और पत्थर पिघलाकर पीतल बनाया जाता है
3 An end - someone puts to the darkness and to every outermost part he [is] searching for [the] stone of gloom and deep darkness.
३मनुष्य अंधियारे को दूर कर, दूर-दूर तक खोद-खोदकर, अंधियारे और घोर अंधकार में पत्थर ढूँढ़ते हैं।
4 He breaks open a shaft - away from with a sojourner forgotten from foot they hang down away from humankind they swing.
४जहाँ लोग रहते हैं वहाँ से दूर वे खानि खोदते हैं वहाँ पृथ्वी पर चलनेवालों के भूले-बिसरे हुए वे मनुष्यों से दूर लटके हुए झूलते रहते हैं।
5 [the] earth From it it comes forth food and under it it is turned over like fire.
५यह भूमि जो है, इससे रोटी तो मिलती है, परन्तु उसके नीचे के स्थान मानो आग से उलट दिए जाते हैं।
6 [are] a place of Sapphire stones its and dust of gold [belong] to it.
६उसके पत्थर नीलमणि का स्थान हैं, और उसी में सोने की धूलि भी है।
7 [the] path Not it knows it a bird of prey and not it catches sight of it [the] eye of a hawk.
७“उसका मार्ग कोई माँसाहारी पक्षी नहीं जानता, और किसी गिद्ध की दृष्टि उस पर नहीं पड़ी।
8 Not they tread it [the] sons of pride not it passes by on it a lion.
८उस पर हिंसक पशुओं ने पाँव नहीं धरा, और न उससे होकर कोई सिंह कभी गया है।
9 On the flint he stretches out hand his he overturns from [the] root mountains.
९“वह चकमक के पत्थर पर हाथ लगाता, और पहाड़ों को जड़ ही से उलट देता है।
10 In the rocks shafts he splits open and every precious thing it sees eye his.
१०वह चट्टान खोदकर नालियाँ बनाता, और उसकी आँखों को हर एक अनमोल वस्तु दिखाई देती है।
11 From weeping rivers he restrains and secret her he brings out light.
११वह नदियों को ऐसा रोक देता है, कि उनसे एक बूँद भी पानी नहीं टपकता और जो कुछ छिपा है उसे वह उजियाले में निकालता है।
12 And wisdom from where? will it be found and where? this [is the] place of understanding.
१२“परन्तु बुद्धि कहाँ मिल सकती है? और समझ का स्थान कहाँ है?
13 Not he knows humankind valuation its and not it is found in [the] land of the living [ones].
१३उसका मोल मनुष्य को मालूम नहीं, जीवनलोक में वह कहीं नहीं मिलती!
14 [the] deep It says not [is] in me it and [the] sea it says not [it] [is] with me.
१४अथाह सागर कहता है, ‘वह मुझ में नहीं है,’ और समुद्र भी कहता है, ‘वह मेरे पास नहीं है।’
15 Not it will be given fine gold for it and not it will be weighed out silver price its.
१५शुद्ध सोने से वह मोल लिया नहीं जाता। और न उसके दाम के लिये चाँदी तौली जाती है।
16 Not it will be paid in [the] gold of Ophir in onyx precious and sapphire.
१६न तो उसके साथ ओपीर के कुन्दन की बराबरी हो सकती है; और न अनमोल सुलैमानी पत्थर या नीलमणि की।
17 Not it will be comparable to it gold and glass and [is] exchange its a vessel of pure gold.
१७न सोना, न काँच उसके बराबर ठहर सकता है, कुन्दन के गहने के बदले भी वह नहीं मिलती।
18 Corals and crystal not it is remembered and [the] price of wisdom [is] more than pearls.
१८मूँगे और स्फटिकमणि की उसके आगे क्या चर्चा! बुद्धि का मोल माणिक से भी अधिक है।
19 Not it will be comparable to it topaz of Cush in gold pure not it will be paid.
१९कूश देश के पद्मराग उसके तुल्य नहीं ठहर सकते; और न उससे शुद्ध कुन्दन की बराबरी हो सकती है।
20 And wisdom from where? does it come and where? this [is the] place of understanding.
२०फिर बुद्धि कहाँ मिल सकती है? और समझ का स्थान कहाँ?
21 And it has been concealed from [the] eyes of every living [thing] and from [the] bird[s] of the heavens it has been hidden.
२१वह सब प्राणियों की आँखों से छिपी है, और आकाश के पक्षियों के देखने में नहीं आती।
22 Abaddon and death they say with ears our we have heard report its.
२२विनाश और मृत्यु कहती हैं, ‘हमने उसकी चर्चा सुनी है।’
23 God he understands way its and he he knows place its.
२३“परन्तु परमेश्वर उसका मार्ग समझता है, और उसका स्थान उसको मालूम है।
24 For he to [the] ends of the earth he looks under all the heavens he sees.
२४वह तो पृथ्वी की छोर तक ताकता रहता है, और सारे आकाशमण्डल के तले देखता-भालता है।
25 To make for the wind weight and [the] waters he has measured with a measure.
२५जब उसने वायु का तौल ठहराया, और जल को नपुए में नापा,
26 When made he for the rain a decree and a path for [the] storm of thunder claps.
२६और मेंह के लिये विधि और गर्जन और बिजली के लिये मार्ग ठहराया,
27 Then he saw it and he recounted it he established it and also he examined it.
२७तब उसने बुद्धि को देखकर उसका बखान भी किया, और उसको सिद्ध करके उसका पूरा भेद बूझ लिया।
28 And he said - to humankind here! [the] fear of [the] Lord that [is] wisdom and to turn from evil [is] understanding.
२८तब उसने मनुष्य से कहा, ‘देख, प्रभु का भय मानना यही बुद्धि है और बुराई से दूर रहना यही समझ है।’”
