Job 23

1 And he answered Job and he said.

Et Job répondit et dit:

2 Also this day [the] rebellion of complaint my hand my it is heavy on groaning my.

Maintenant ma plainte est une révolte! et pourtant la main qui me frappe, arrête de son poids l'essor de mes soupirs.

3 Who? will he give I knew and I will find him I will come to place his.

Ah! si je savais Le trouver, et arriver jusqu'à son trône!

4 Let me set in order before him a case and mouth my let me fill arguments.

J'exposerais ma cause devant Lui, et j'aurais la bouche pleine d'arguments;

5 I want to know [the] words [which] he will answer me and I want to understand what? will he say to me.

je saurais en quels termes Il me répondrait, et j'entendrais ce qu'il me dirait.

6 ¿ With greatness of power will he conduct a case with me not surely he he will put on me.

Faut-il qu'avec la plénitude de sa puissance, Il se constitue ma partie? Non! seulement qu'il me prête attention!

7 There an upright [person] [will be] reasoning with him and I will deliver to perpetuity from judge my.

Alors ce serait un juste qui plaiderait avec Lui, et j'échapperais pour toujours à mon juge.

8 Here! forward I go and there not [is] he and backwards and not I perceive him.

Mais voici, vais-je à l'Orient; Il n'y est pas! à l'Occident; je ne l'aperçois pas!

9 [the] left [side] When acts he and not I see [him] he turns [the] right [side] and not I see [him].

Agit-Il au Nord; je ne le découvre pas! S'enfonce-t-Il dans le Midi; je ne le vois pas!…

10 That he knows [the] way with me he has tested me like gold I will come forth.

C'est qu'il sait quelle est la voie que je suis. Qu'il me mette à l'épreuve, j'en sortirai comme l'or.

11 On step his it has taken hold foot my way his I have kept and not I have turned aside.

Mon pied a tenu ferme sur Ses pas, j'ai gardé sa voie, et n'ai point dévié.

12 [the] commandment of Lips his and not I have ceased more than portion my I have treasured up [the] words of mouth his.

Des ordres de ses lèvres je ne m'écartai point, et je fis céder ma volonté aux paroles de sa bouche.

13 And he [is] one and who? will he turn back him and [that which] self his it has desired and he has done.

Cependant Il n'a qu'une pensée: et qui l'en fera revenir? Son âme a désiré, et Il exécute:

14 For he performs decree my and like them many [are] with him.

Oui, Il accomplira mon destin, et Il me garde nombre de maux pareils.

15 There-fore of him I am terrified I consider and I may be in dread from him.

Voilà pourquoi en sa présence je suis éperdu; je réfléchis, et je prends peur de Lui.

16 And God he has made faint heart my and [the] Almighty he has terrified me.

Dieu aussi bien a brisé mon courage, et le Tout-puissant m'a effarouché;

17 For not I have been destroyed from before darkness and from before me it covers gloom.

car je ne suis pas muet par la crainte des ténèbres, ou parce que je m'effraie de moi-même qui suis couvert d'un sombre nuage.
