Job 12
1 And he answered Job and he said.
Job antwoordde, en sprak:
2 Truly that you [are the] people and with you it will die wisdom.
Ja zeker, gij vertegenwoordigt het volk, En met u sterft de wijsheid uit!
3 Also [belongs] to me a heart - like you not [am] falling I more than you and with whom? [are] there not like these [things].
Ik heb evenveel verstand als gij Wie zou trouwens dit alles niet weten?
4 A laughingstock to friend his - I am [one who] called to God and he answered him [is] a laughingstock a righteous [person] a blameless [person].
Laat mij de spot zijn van mijn vriend; Ik roep Jahweh aan, Hij zal mij verhoren! Bespotting voor de deugd van de vromen,
5 [belongs] to Disaster contempt to [the] thought of [one] at ease a push [belongs] to [those who] are sliding of foot.
Verachting voor de beproefden: denkt het gelukskind, En een trap voor hen, wier voeten wankelen;
6 They are at peace [the] tents - of destroyers and securiti [belong] to provokers of God to [those] whom he has brought God in hand his.
Maar vrede voor de tenten der rovers, Onbezorgdheid voor hen, die God durven tarten, En die God naar hun hand willen zetten!
7 And but ask please [the] animals so it may teach you and [the] bird[s] of the heavens so it may tell to you.
Ondervraag slechts het vee: het zal het u leren; De vogels uit de lucht; zij vertellen het u;
8 Or complain to the earth so it may teach you and they may recount to you [the] fish of the sea.
Of het kruipend gedierte op aarde: zij zullen het zeggen; De vissen der zee: zij lichten u in.
9 Who? not does it know among all these for [the] hand of Yahweh it has done this.
Wie onder die allen, die het niet weet, Dat de hand van Jahweh dit wrocht!
10 [he] whom [is] in Hand his [the] life of every living [thing] and [the] breath of all flesh of humankind.
Hij, die iedere levende ziel in zijn hand heeft, En de adem van alle menselijk vlees!
11 ¿ Not an ear words does it test and a palate food it tastes itself.
Of kan het oor geen woorden meer toetsen, Het gehemelte geen spijzen meer proeven;
12 [is] with Aged [people] wisdom and [is with] length of days understanding.
Is er geen wijsheid meer bij bejaarden, Op hoge leeftijd geen inzicht?
13 [are] with Him wisdom and might [belong] to him counsel and understanding.
Bij Hem is wijsheid en macht, Bij Hem beleid en verstand.
14 There! he tears down and not it will be rebuilt he shuts on a person and not it will be opened.
Haalt Hij omver, men bouwt niet op, Dien Hij kerkert, doet men niet open.
15 There! he holds back the waters so they may be dry and he lets loose them and they may devastate [the] earth.
Houdt Hij de wateren tegen, ze drogen op; Laat Hij ze los, ze woelen het land om.
16 [are] with Him strength and sound wisdom [belong] to him [one who] goes astray and [one who] leads astray.
Bij Hem is kracht en vernuft, Hem behoort de verleide met den verleider;
17 [he is] leading away Counselors barefoot and judges he makes look foolish.
Raadsheren laat Hij barrevoets gaan, En rechters maakt Hij tot dwazen;
18 [the] correction of Kings he loosens and he bound a loincloth on loins their.
De boeien der koningen maakt Hij los, En legt een koord om hun eigen heup.
19 [he is] leading away Priests barefoot and [people] long established he overturns.
De priesters laat Hij barrevoets gaan, En oude geslachten brengt Hij ten val;
20 [he is] removing A lip of trusted [ones] and [the] discernment of elders he takes away.
Aan vertrouwbare mannen ontneemt Hij de spraak, En ontrooft de grijsaards hun oordeel;
21 [he is] pouring Contempt on noble [people] and [the] belt of strong people he loosens.
Hij stort verachting over edelen uit, En rukt de gordel der machtigen los.
22 [he is] revealing Unfathomable [things] from darkness and he brought out to the light deep darkness.
23 [he is] making great the Nations and he destroyed them [he is] spreading out the nations and he led them.
Hij maakt naties groot, en richt ze ten gronde, Breidt volken uit, en stoot ze neer;
24 [he is] removing [the] heart of [the] leaders of [the] people of The earth and he made wander them in a wasteland not a path.
Hij berooft de vorsten der aarde van hun verstand, En laat ze in de ongebaande wildernis dolen;
25 They grope darkness and not light and he made wander them like drunkard.
Ze tasten in de duisternis rond, zonder licht, Ze waggelen als een dronken man.
