Jeremiah 8
1 At the time that [the] utterance of Yahweh (people will bring out *Q(K)*) [the] bones of [the] kings of Judah and [the] bones of officials its and [the] bones of the priests and - [the] bones of the prophets and [the] bones of [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem from graves their.
Pada masa itu tulang-tulang raja-raja dan pejabat-pejabat pemerintahan di Yehuda, juga tulang-tulang para imam, nabi, dan penduduk Yerusalem lainnya akan dikeluarkan dari kuburan mereka,
2 And they will spread out them to the sun and to the moon and to all - [the] host of the heavens which they loved them and which they served them and which they walked after them and which they consulted them and which they bowed down to them not they will be gathered and not they will be buried dung on [the] surface of the ground they will become.
bukan untuk dikumpulkan dan dikuburkan lagi, melainkan dibiarkan di tanah sebagai sampah. Tulang-tulang orang-orang itu akan terserak di depan matahari, bulan dan bintang-bintang yang mereka dewakan, cintai, layani, sembah, dan mintai petunjuk.
3 And it will be chosen death more than life by all the remnant which remain from the family evil this in all the places which remain where I have banished them there [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Maka orang-orang yang masih hidup dari bangsa yang jahat ini yang telah Kuceraiberaikan ke mana-mana akan lebih suka mati daripada hidup. Aku, TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa, telah berbicara."
4 And you will say to them thus he says Yahweh ¿ do people fall and not do they stand up? or? does anyone turn away and not does he return?
TUHAN menyuruh aku mengatakan begini kepada umat-Nya, "Kalau orang jatuh, tentu ia akan bangun lagi, dan kalau orang sesat di jalan, tentu ia akan kembali.
5 Why? has it turned away the people this Jerusalem apostasy enduring they have kept hold on deceitfulness they have refused to return.
Tapi mengapa kamu, umat-Ku, terus-menerus menyeleweng dan meninggalkan Aku? Kamu berpegang teguh kepada berhalamu, dan tak mau kembali kepada-Ku!
6 I have paid attention and I have heard not right they speak there not [is] anyone [who] relents on wickedness his saying what? have I done all of it [is] turning (in own course their *Q(K)*) like a horse [which] rushes in the battle.
Aku telah mendengarkan baik-baik, tapi kamu tidak berbicara sebagaimana mestinya. Tidak seorang pun dari kamu menyesali perbuatannya yang jahat. Tak ada yang berkata, 'Apa kesalahanku?' Kamu semua mengikuti jalanmu sendiri seperti kuda menyerbu ke dalam pertempuran.
7 Also a stork in the heavens it knows appointed times its and a turtle-dove (and a swift *Q(K)*) and a crane they keep [the] time of coming they and people my not they know [the] ordinance of Yahweh.
Burung bangau pun tahu waktunya untuk kembali; tekukur, burung layang-layang dan murai juga tahu masanya untuk berpindah tempat. Tetapi kamu, umat-Ku, tidak mengenal hukum-hukum yang Kuberikan kepadamu.
8 How? will you say [are] wise we and [the] law of Yahweh [is] with us truly here! into falsehood it has made [it] a stylus of falsehood of scribes.
Berani benar kamu berkata bahwa kamu bijaksana, dan tahu hukum-hukum-Ku! Coba lihat bagaimana hukum-hukum-Ku itu diubah oleh ahli-ahli agama yang curang!
9 They will be put to shame wise [people] they will be dismayed and they have been captured there! [the] word of Yahweh they have rejected and wisdom of what? [belongs] to them.
Para cerdik pandai di tengah-tengahmu akan dipermalukan. Mereka akan hilang akal dan terjebak. Mereka tidak mau menerima nasihat-Ku; sekarang, kebijaksanaan apakah yang masih ada pada mereka?
10 Therefore I will give wives their to others fields their to [those who] dispossess for from [the] small and unto [the] great all of it [is] gaining unjust gain from prophet and unto priest all of it [is] doing falsehood.
Karena itu Aku akan memberikan ladang mereka kepada tuan tanah lain, dan istri mereka kepada orang lain. Mereka semua, besar kecil, mencari keuntungan dengan jalan yang tidak jujur. Bahkan nabi dan imam pun menipu orang.
11 And they have healed [the] fracture of [the] daughter of people my on a trifling [thing] saying peace - peace and there not [is] peace.
Luka-luka umat-Ku mereka anggap luka kecil saja. 'Ah, tidak apa-apa,' kata mereka, 'semua baik dan aman.' Padahal sama sekali tidak.
12 Are they ashamed? that an abomination they have done also at all not they are ashamed and to be ashamed not they know therefore they will fall among [those who] fall at [the] time of punishment their they will stumble he says Yahweh.
Hai umat-Ku, seharusnya kamu malu karena telah melakukan semua yang hina itu! Tetapi kamu tebal muka dan tidak tahu malu. Karena itu kamu akan jatuh seperti orang lain yang telah jatuh; habislah riwayatmu apabila Aku menghukum kamu.
13 Surely I will make an end of them [the] utterance of Yahweh there not [will be] grapes on the vine and there not [will be] figs on the fig tree and the leafage it will wither and I gave to them they will pass away them.
Ingin sekali Aku mengumpulkan umat-Ku seperti orang mengumpulkan hasil tanahnya. Tetapi, umat-Ku seperti pohon anggur dan pohon ara yang tidak berbuah, bahkan daun-daunnya pun sudah layu. Itu sebabnya Aku telah mengizinkan orang asing datang dan menguasai negeri mereka. Aku, TUHAN, telah berbicara."
14 Concerning what? [are] we sitting gather yourselves so we may go into [the] cities of fortification so we may perish there for Yahweh God our he has silenced us and he has given to drink us water of poison for we have sinned to Yahweh.
"Mengapa kita tidak berbuat apa-apa?" kata umat Allah. "Mari kita bersama-sama mengungsi ke kota-kota berbenteng, biar kita mati di sana. TUHAN Allah kita sudah memutuskan bahwa kita harus binasa. Ia sudah memberikan kepada kita racun untuk diminum sebab kita berdosa kepada-Nya.
15 We waited eagerly for peace and there not [was] good for a time of healing and there! terror.
Percuma saja kita mengharapkan kedamaian dan masa penyembuhan, sebab yang ada hanyalah kekerasan.
16 From Dan it has been heard [the] snorting of horses his from [the] sound of [the] neighings of mighty [horses] his it has shaken all the land and they have come and they have consumed [the] land and what fills it [the] city and [the] inhabitants in it.
Musuh telah berada di kota Dan; ringkikan kuda mereka sudah terdengar, dan seluruh negeri menjadi takut. Musuh datang untuk menghancurkan seluruh negeri kita, juga kota kita dan semua penduduknya."
17 For here I [am] about to send among you snakes vipers which there not for them [is] a charm and they will bite you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
"Perhatikan!" kata TUHAN. "Sekarang Aku mengirim ular-ular ke tengah-tengahmu untuk memagut kamu, ular berbisa yang tak dapat kena mantra."
18 Cheerfulness my on sorrow on me heart my [is] faint.
Hatiku tersayat dan pedih, nestapaku tak terobati.
19 There! [the] sound of [the] cry for help of [the] daughter of people my from a land of distance ¿ [is] Yahweh not in Zion or? [is] king its not in it why? have they provoked to anger me by idols their by vanities of foreignness.
Dengar! Di seluruh negeri menggema jerit tangis bangsaku yang bertanya, "Tiadakah TUHAN di Sion lagi? Di manakah rajanya kini?" Jawab TUHAN, raja mereka, "Mengapa kausujud kepada dewa-dewa yang sama sekali tak berguna? Mengapa kausakiti hati-Ku dengan menyembah berhala-berhala?"
20 It has passed harvest it has come to an end summer and we not we have been saved.
Umat Israel berseru, "Musim menuai dan musim kemarau kini sudah lewat, tapi kita belum juga selamat."
21 On [the] brokenness of [the] daughter of people my I have been broken I am in mourning desolation it has taken hold of me.
Hatiku remuk karena bangsaku sakit parah; aku berkabung dan gelisah.
22 ¿ Balm [is] there not in Gilead or? a physician [is] there not there for why? not has it come up [the] healing of [the] daughter of people my.
Apa gerangan yang menyebabkan sehingga bangsaku sampai sekarang belum juga sembuh? Apakah di seluruh Gilead, tak ada dokter atau obat?
