Jeremiah 6
1 Flee for refuge - O people of Benjamin from [the] midst of Jerusalem and in Tekoa blow a trumpet and at Beth Hakkerem raise a signal for calamity it has looked down from [the] north and destruction great.
Larilah mengungsi, hai orang-orang Benyamin, dari tengah-tengah Yerusalem! Tiuplah sangkakala di Tekoa, dan naikkanlah asap sebagai tanda di atas Bet-Kerem! Sebab malapetaka telah mengintai dari utara, yakni suatu kehancuran besar.
2 The beautiful [one] and the dainty [one] I resemble [the] daughter of Zion.
Adakah puteri Sion sama seperti padang yang paling disukai,
3 To it they will come shepherds and flocks their they will pitch at it tents all around they will graze everyone hand his.
sehingga gembala-gembala mendatanginya beserta kawanan ternak mereka? Mereka telah memasang kemah-kemahnya sekelilingnya, masing-masing memakan habis apa yang didapatnya.
4 Consecrate on it battle arise so we may go up at noon woe! to us for it has turned the day for they are stretched out [the] shadows of evening.
"Persiapkanlah perang melawan dia; ayo, marilah kita maju menyerang pada tengah hari!" "Celakalah kita, sebab matahari sudah lingsir, bayang-bayang senja hari sudah memanjang!"
5 Arise so we may go up in the night and let us destroy fortresses its.
"Ayo, marilah kita maju menyerang pada waktu malam dan merusakkan puri-purinya!"
6 For thus he says Yahweh of hosts cut down wood and pour out on Jerusalem a mound that city it will be visited all of it [is] oppression in midst its.
Sebab beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: "Tebanglah pohon-pohonnya dan timbunlah tanah menjadi tembok terhadap Yerusalem! Itulah kota yang harus dihukum! Hanya penindasan saja di dalamnya!
7 As keeps cool (a well *Q(K)*) water its so it has kept cool evil its violence and havoc it is heard in it [are] on face my continually sickness and wound[s].
Seperti mata air meluapkan airnya, demikianlah kota itu meluapkan kejahatannya. Kekerasan dan aniaya terdengar di dalamnya, luka dan pukulan selalu ada Kulihat.
8 Let yourself be instructed O Jerusalem lest it should be alienated self my from you lest I should make you a desolation a land [which] not it is inhabited.
Terimalah penghajaran, hai Yerusalem, supaya Aku jangan menarik diri dari padamu, supaya Aku jangan membuat engkau sunyi sepi, menjadi negeri yang tidak berpenduduk!"
9 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts thoroughly people will glean like vine [the] remnant of Israel return hand your like a grape gatherer over branches.
Beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: "Petiklah habis-habisan sisa-sisa orang Israel seperti pokok anggur dipetik habis-habisan. Kembalilah seperti pemetik buah anggur dengan tanganmu mencari-cari buah pada ranting-rantingnya."
10 To whom? will I speak and will I warn? and they may listen there! [is] uncircumcised ear their and not they are able to pay attention there! [the] word of Yahweh it has become for them a reproach not they delight in it.
Kepada siapakah aku harus berbicara dan bersaksi, supaya mereka mau memperhatikan? Sungguh, telinga mereka tidak bersunat, mereka tidak dapat mendengar! Sungguh, firman TUHAN menjadi cemoohan bagi mereka, mereka tidak menyukainya!
11 And [the] rage of Yahweh - I am full I am weary to hold [it] in pour [it] out on child[ren] in the street and on [the] gathering of young men alike for also a husband with a wife they will be caught [the] old with [the] full of days.
Tetapi aku penuh dengan kehangatan murka TUHAN, aku telah payah menahannya, harus menumpahkannya kepada bayi di jalan, dan kepada kumpulan teruna bersama-sama. Sesungguhnya, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan akan ditangkap, baik orang yang tua maupun orang yang sudah lanjut usianya.
12 And they will be turned over houses their to others fields and wives alike for I will stretch out hand my on [the] inhabitants of the land [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Rumah-rumah mereka akan beralih kepada orang lain, bersama ladang-ladang dan isteri-isteri mereka. --"Sesungguhnya, Aku mengacungkan tangan-Ku melawan penduduk negeri ini, demikianlah firman TUHAN.
13 That from little their and unto great their all of it [is] gaining unjust gain and from prophet and unto priest all of him [is] doing falsehood.
Sesungguhnya, dari yang kecil sampai yang besar di antara mereka, semuanya mengejar untung, baik nabi maupun imam semuanya melakukan tipu.
14 And they have healed [the] fracture of people my on a trifling [thing] saying peace - peace and there not [is] peace.
Mereka mengobati luka umat-Ku dengan memandangnya ringan, katanya: Damai sejahtera! Damai sejahtera!, tetapi tidak ada damai sejahtera.
15 Are they ashamed? that an abomination they have done neither at all not they are ashamed nor to exhibit shame not they know therefore they will fall among [those who] fall at [the] time [when] I have visited them they will stumble he says Yahweh.
Seharusnya mereka merasa malu, sebab mereka melakukan kejijikan; tetapi mereka sama sekali tidak merasa malu dan tidak kenal noda mereka. Sebab itu mereka akan rebah di antara orang-orang yang rebah; mereka akan tersandung jatuh pada waktu Aku menghukum mereka, firman TUHAN."
16 Thus he says Yahweh stand at [the] roads and look and ask - of paths of ancient time where? this [is] [the] way of the good and walk in it and find rest for self your and they said not we will walk.
Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Ambillah tempatmu di jalan-jalan dan lihatlah, tanyakanlah jalan-jalan yang dahulu kala, di manakah jalan yang baik, tempuhlah itu, dengan demikian jiwamu mendapat ketenangan. Tetapi mereka berkata: Kami tidak mau menempuhnya!
17 And I raised up over you watchmen pay attention to [the] sound of a trumpet and they said not we will pay attention.
Juga aku mengangkat atas mereka penjaga-penjaga, firman-Ku: Perhatikanlah bunyi sangkakala! Tetapi mereka berkata: Kami tidak mau memperhatikannya!
18 Therefore listen O nations and know O congregation [that] which [is] in them.
Sebab itu dengarlah, hai bangsa-bangsa, dan ketahuilah, hai jemaat, apa yang akan terjadi atas mereka!
19 Hear O earth here! I [am] about to bring calamity to the people this [the] fruit of own schemes their for on words my not they have paid attention and law my and they have rejected it.
Dengarlah, hai bumi! Sungguh, ke atas bangsa ini Aku akan mendatangkan malapetaka, akibat dari rancangan-rancangan mereka, sebab mereka tidak memperhatikan perkataan-perkataan-Ku dan menolak pengajaran-Ku.
20 Why? this to me frankincense [which] from Sheba it comes and [the] cane good from a land of distance burnt offerings your not [are] for acceptance and sacrifices your not they are pleasing to me.
Apakah gunanya bagi-Ku kamu bawa kemenyan dari Syeba dan tebu yang baik dari negeri yang jauh? Aku tidak berkenan kepada korban-korban bakaranmu dan korban-korban sembelihanmu tidak menyenangkan hati-Ku.
21 Therefore thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to give to the people this stumbling blocks and they will stumble over them fathers and sons alike a neighbor and friend his (and they will perish. *Q(K)*)
Sebab itu beginilah firman TUHAN: Sungguh, Aku akan menaruh batu sandungan di depan bangsa ini, supaya mereka jatuh tersandung oleh karenanya; bapa-bapa serta dengan anak-anak, tetangga dan temannya, semuanya akan binasa."
22 Thus he says Yahweh there! a people [is] about to come from a land of [the] north and a nation great it will be roused from [the] remotest parts of [the] earth.
Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Sesungguhnya, suatu bangsa akan datang dari tanah utara, suatu suku bangsa yang besar akan bergerak maju dari ujung bumi.
23 Bow and javelin they take hold of [is] cruel it and not they have mercy sound their [is] like the sea [which] it roars and on horses they ride arranged like a man for battle on you O daughter of Zion.
Mereka memakai panah dan tombak; mereka bengis, tidak kenal belas kasihan. Suara mereka gemuruh seperti laut, mereka mengendarai kuda, berlengkap seperti orang maju berperang, menyerang engkau, hai puteri Sion!"
24 We heard [the] report of it they hung limp hands our distress it took hold of us anguish like [woman] giving birth.
Kami telah mendengar kabarnya, tangan kami sudah menjadi lemah lesu; kesesakan telah menyergap kami, kami kesakitan seperti perempuan yang melahirkan.
25 May not (you go out *Q(K)*) the field and on the road mau not (you walk *Q(K)*) for a sword [belongs] to [the] enemy terror [is] from round about.
"Janganlah keluar ke padang, dan janganlah berjalan di jalan, sebab pedang musuh mengamuk--kegentaran datang dari segala jurusan!"
26 O daughter of people my gird yourself sackcloth and roll in ash[es] [the] mourning of an only [child] observe for yourself wailing of bitterness for suddenly it will come the destroyer on us.
Hai puteri bangsaku, kenakanlah kain kabung, dan berguling-gulinglah dalam debu! Berkabunglah seperti menangisi seorang anak tunggal, merataplah dengan pahit pedih! Sebab sekonyong-konyong akan datang si pembinasa menyerangmu.
27 An assayer I have made you among people my fortification so you may observe and you will test conduct their.
Aku telah mengangkat engkau di antara umat-Ku sebagai penguji, engkau harus tahu bagaimana menyelidikinya, dan harus menguji tingkah langkah mereka.
28 All of them [are those who] turn aside of rebels [those who] go about of slander bronze and iron all of them [are] destroyers they.
Semua mereka adalah pendurhaka belaka, berjalan kian kemari sebagai pemfitnah; sekaliannya mereka berlaku busuk!
29 It puffs [the] bellow[s] (from a fire it is complete *Q(K)*) lead for vanity someone has refined steadfastly and evil [people] not they have been separated.
Puputan sudah mengembus, tetapi yang keluar dari api hanya timah hitam, tembaga dan besi. Sia-sia orang melebur terus-menerus, tetapi orang-orang yang jahat tidak terpisahkan.
30 Silver rejected people called them for he has rejected Yahweh them.
Sebutkanlah mereka perak yang ditolak, sebab TUHAN telah menolak mereka!
