< Jeremiah 5 >
1 Rove about in [the] streets of Jerusalem and see please and observe and search in open places its if you will find a person if there [is one who] does justice [one who] seeks faithfulness so I may forgive it.

2 And though [by] [the] life of Yahweh people say therefore to falsehood they are swearing oaths.
Ọ bụ ezie, na ha na-asị, ‘Dịka Onyenwe anyị na-adị ndụ,’ ma ha ka na-aṅụ iyi nʼokwu ụgha.”
3 O Yahweh [are] eyes your ¿ not to faithfulness you struck them and not they writhed you brought to an end them they refused to accept correction they made strong faces their more than rock they refused to return.
Onyenwe anyị, anya gị abụọ ọ bụghị eziokwu ka ọ na-achọ? Ị tiela ha ihe, ma o metụghị ha nʼahụ. I gwepịara ha, ma ha ekweghị a nabata ịdọ aka na ntị. Ha emeela ka ihu ha sie ike karịa nkume, ha ajụla ịchịgharị.
4 And I I said only [are] poor [people] they they have acted foolishly for not they know [the] way of Yahweh [the] ordinance of God their.
Mgbe ahụ, a sịrị, “Ndị a bụ naanị ndị ogbenye na ndị na-enweghị uche, ha amaghị ihe ọbụla gbasara ụzọ Onyenwe anyị, na iwu nke Chineke ha.
5 I will go for myself to the great and I will speak them for they they know [the] way of Yahweh [the] ordinance of God their nevertheless they alike they had broken off a yoke they had torn off fetters.

6 There-fore it will attack them a lion from a forest a wolf of desert plains it will devastate them a leopard [will be] watching over cities their every [one who] goes out from them he will be torn in pieces for they are many transgressions their they are numerous (apostasies their. *Q(k)*)
Ya mere, aga m eme ka ọdụm si nʼoke ọhịa bịa lụso ha ọgụ; nkịta ọhịa bi nʼọzara ga-ebibi ha. Otu a kwa, agụ ga-abịa makpuru nso nso obodo ha ịdọkasị onye ọbụla si nʼime obodo ahụ na-apụta. 7 Where? for this (will I forgive *Q(k)*) you children your they have forsaken me and they have sworn by not gods and I satisfied them and they committed adultery and [the] house of a prostitute they cut themselves.
“Nʼihi gịnị ka m ga-eji gbaghara unu? Lee na ụmụ unu ahapụla m, na-agbaso, ma na-eji chi ndị na-abụghị chi na-aṅụ iyi. Ọ bụ m gbooro ha mkpa ha, ma ha nọgidere na-akwa iko. Ha jikwa ụlọ ndị akwụna mere ebe ha na-ezukọ.
8 Horses well fed lustful they are everyone to [the] wife of neighbor his they neigh.
Ha rijuru afọ, gbaa abụba dị ka oke ịnyịnya. Onye ọbụla nʼime ha kwa na-esigharị imi na-akpọku nwunye na-abụghị nke ya.
9 ¿ On these [things] not will I punish [the] utterance of Yahweh and or? on a nation which [is] like this [one] not will it avenge itself self my.
Ma Onyenwe anyị na-ajụ ajụjụ sị, m ga-ahapụ ịta ha ahụhụ nʼihi ihe ndị a niile? M ga-ahapụ ịbọtara mkpụrụobi m ọbọ megide mba dị otu a?”
10 Go up among vine rows its and destroy [them] and complete destruction may not you make remove vine tendrils its for not [belong] to Yahweh they.
“Baanụ nʼime ubi vaịnị ha a gbara ogige kposaa ihe dị nʼime ya, ma unu emebila ya kpamkpam. Gbajisienụ alaka ya nʼihi na o nweghị oge ndị a ji bụrụ ndị nke Onyenwe anyị.
11 For certainly they have dealt treacherously with me [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Onyenwe anyị ekwuola ya sị, Lee, ụlọ Izrel na ụlọ Juda egosila na ha abụghị ndị e kwesiri ịtụkwasị obi.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara.
12 They have denied Yahweh and they have said not he and not it will come on us harm and sword and famine not we will see.

13 And the prophets they will become wind and the word not [is] in them thus let it be done to them.

14 Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts because have spoken you the word this here I [am] about to make words my in mouth your into a fire and the people this wood and it will consume them.
Nʼihi ihe ndị a niile, ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwuru, “Nʼihi na okwu ndị a esitela nʼọnụ ndị a pụta, aga m eme ka okwu m, nke si gị nʼọnụ na-apụta, ghọọ ọkụ. Aga m emekwa ka ndị a ghọọ nkụ ọkụ ahụ ga-erepịa.
15 Here I [am] about to bring on you a nation from a distance O house of Israel [the] utterance of Yahweh [is] a nation - enduring it [is] a nation from long ago it a nation [which] not you know language its and not you hear what? does it say.

16 Quiver its [is] like a grave open all of them [are] warriors.

17 And it will devour harvest your and food your they will devour sons your and daughters your it will devour flock[s] your and herd[s] your it will devour vine[s] your and fig tree[s] your it will shatter [the] cities of fortifications your which you [are] trusting in them with the sword.
Ha ga-eripịa ihe niile unu wetara nʼubi, ya na nri niile unu nwere. Ha ga-ebibi ụmụ unu ndị nwoke na ndị nwanyị. Ha ga-ebibi igwe ewu na atụrụ unu, na igwe ehi unu. Ha ga-ebibikwa osisi vaịnị na osisi fiig unu. Ọ bụ mma agha ha ka ha ga-eji bibie obodo unu niile e wusiri ike, bụ obodo ndị ahụ niile unu na-atụkwasị uche.
18 And also in the days those [the] utterance of Yahweh not I will make with you complete destruction.
“Ma ọ bụladị na nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “Agaghị m ebibicha unu kpamkpam.
19 And it will be that you will say for what? did he do Yahweh God our to us all these [things] and you will say to them just as you forsook me and you served gods of foreignness in own land your so you will serve strangers in a land [which] not [belongs] to you.
Ọ ga-erukwa, mgbe ndị mmadụ ga-ajụ ajụjụ sị, ‘Gịnị mere Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị ji mee anyị ihe dị otu a?’ Unu ga-agwa ha sị, ‘Dịka unu si gbakụta ya azụ malite ife chi ndị mba ọzọ nʼala nke aka unu, otu a ka unu ga-esi kpọọ isiala nye ndị mba ọzọ nʼala na-abụghị nke unu.’
20 Declare this in [the] house of Jacob and proclaim it in Judah saying.
“Kwupụta ihe a ka ụlọ Jekọb nụrụ ya, kwusaa ya na Juda.
21 Hear please this O people fool and there not [is] a heart eyes [belong] to them and not they see ears [belong] to them and not they hear.
Nụrụnụ ihe ndị a, unu ndị nzuzu na ndị na-enweghị uche, unu ndị nwere anya nke na-adịghị ahụ ụzọ, na unu ndị nwere ntị nke na-adịghị anụ ihe.
22 ¿ Me not do you fear [the] utterance of Yahweh or? from before me not do you tremble who I appointed [the] sand a boundary for the sea a decree of perpetuity and not it will pass over it and they shook back and forth and not they will prevail and they roar waves its and not they will pass over it.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, na-ajụ sị, o kwesighị ka unu tụọ m egwu?” “O kwesighị ka unu maa jijiji nʼihu m? Emeela m ka uzuzu bụrụ oke osimiri nwere. Ọ bụkwa ụkpụrụ ebighị ebi nke ọ na-enweghị ike ịgafe. Ebili mmiri nwere ike magharịa, ma nke a apụghị ime ka osimiri si nʼọnọdụ ya wezuga onwe ya. Osimiri nwere ike bigbọọ, ma ọ pụghị ịgafe oke ahụ.
23 And to the people this it belongs a heart stubborn and rebellious they have turned aside and they have gone away.
Ma ndị a nwere obi nke na-enupu isi, na obi nke na-adịghị ekwe ekwe. Ha atụgharịala wezuga onwe ha.
24 And not they said in heart their let us fear please Yahweh God our who gives rain (autumn rain *Q(K)*) and spring rain at appropriate time its [the] weeks of [the] appointments of harvest he keeps for us.
Ha adịghị asị onwe ha, ‘Ka anyị tụọ egwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị, onye na-enye anyị mmiri ozuzo nʼoge ya, ọ bụkwa ya na-eme ka anyị na-ewebata ihe ubi anyị nʼoge ya.’
25 Iniquities your they have turned aside these [things] and sins your they have withheld good from you.
Ajọ omume unu emeela ka ihe ndị a hapụ irute unu aka. Mmehie unu anapụla unu ihe ọma gaara abụ nke unu.
26 For they are found among people my wicked [people] he watches as bend fowlers they set a destroyer people they catch.
“E nwere ndị ajọ mmadụ nʼetiti ndị m, ndị na-edo onwe ha dịka ndị mmadụ na-esiri nnụnụ ọnya, dịka ndị na-esi ọnya ka ha nwude mmadụ.
27 Like a cage full bird[s] so houses their [are] full deceit there-fore they have become great and they have gained riches.
Dịka nkata a kpara nke nnụnụ jupụtara nʼime ya, ụlọ ndị dị otu a jupụtara nʼaghụghọ. Nʼihi nke a, ha ghọrọ ndị ọgaranya na ndị dị ike,
28 They have become fat they have become smooth also they have transgressed matters of evil a cause not they have pleaded [the] cause of [the] fatherless so they may have success and [the] justice of needy [people] not they have judged.

29 ¿ On these [things] not will I punish [the] utterance of Yahweh or? on a nation which [is] like this [one] not will it avenge itself self my.
M ga-ahapụ ịta ha ahụhụ nʼihi ihe ndị a niile?” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, na-ajụ. “M ga-ahapụ ịbọrọ onwe m ọbọ megide mba dị otu a?
30 An atrocious event and a horrible [thing] it has occurred in the land.
“Ihe ọjọọ nke jọbigara njọ oke emeela nʼala a.
31 The prophets they have prophesied with falsehood and the priests they are ruling on hands their and people my they have loved thus and what? will you do to end its.
Lee, ndị amụma na-ebu naanị amụma ụgha, ndị nchụaja na-achịkwa ndị m site nʼọchịchị nke nʼaka ike, ma lee, ndị m hụrụ ndụ dị otu a nʼanya. Gịnịkwa ka unu ga-eme nʼoge ikpeazụ.”
