Jeremiah 49
1 Of [the] people of Ammon thus he says Yahweh ¿ [do] children not [belong] to Israel or? [does] an heir not [belongs] to it why? has he dispossessed Milcom Gad and people his in cities its has it dwelt?
Sur les fils d’Ammon. Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Israël n’a-t-il point de fils? n’a-t-il point d’héritier? Pourquoi leur roi a-t-il hérité de Gad, et son peuple demeure-t-il dans ses villes? –
2 Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will sound aloud against Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon a shout of battle and it will become a mound of desolation and daughters its with fire they will be kindled and it will dispossess Israel [those who] dispossessed it he says Yahweh.
C’est pourquoi, voici, des jours viennent, dit l’Éternel, et je ferai entendre dans Rabba des fils d’Ammon la clameur de la guerre, et elle sera un monceau de ruines, et ses villes seront brûlées par le feu, et Israël aura en héritage ceux qui étaient ses héritiers, dit l’Éternel.
3 Wail O Heshbon for it has been devastated Ai cry out O daughters of Rabbah gird yourselves sackcloth mourn and run to and fro among the walls for Milcom in exile he will go priests his and officials his together.
Hurle, Hesbon! car Aï est dévastée. Criez, filles de Rabba, ceignez-vous de sacs, lamentez-vous, et courez çà et là entre les clôtures, car leur roi ira en captivité, ses sacrificateurs et ses princes ensemble.
4 Why? do you boast in the valleys [is] flowing valley your O daughter apostate who trusts in treasures her who? will he come against me.
Pourquoi te glorifies-tu des vallées? Ta vallée ruissellera, fille infidèle, qui te confies en tes trésors, [disant]: Qui viendra contre moi?
5 Here I [am] about to bring on you terror [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh of hosts from all around you and you will be driven away everyone before it and not [one who] gathers together [belongs] to the fugitive.
Voici, je fais venir, de tous tes alentours, la frayeur contre toi, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel des armées; et vous serez chassés chacun devant soi, et il n’y aura personne qui rassemble les fugitifs.
6 And after thus I will turn back [the] captivity of [the] people of Ammon [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Et après cela, je rétablirai les captifs des fils d’Ammon, dit l’Éternel.
7 Of Edom thus he says Yahweh of hosts ¿ [is] there not still wisdom in Teman has it been lost? counsel from understanding [people] has it been corrupted? wisdom their.
Sur Édom. Ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées: N’y a-t-il plus de sagesse dans Théman? Le conseil des intelligents a-t-il péri? leur sagesse est-elle perdue?
8 Flee be turned back make deep to dwell O inhabitants of Dedan for [the] disaster of Esau I will bring on it a time [when] I will visit it.
Fuyez, tournez le dos, habitez dans les lieux profonds, vous, habitants de Dedan, car je ferai venir sur Ésaü sa calamité, le temps où je le visiterai.
9 If grape gatherers they came to you not will they leave? gleanings if thieves in the night they destroyed sufficiency their.
Si des vendangeurs venaient chez toi, ne laisseraient-ils pas des grappillages? si c’étaient des voleurs de nuit, ils ne détruiraient que ce qui leur suffirait.
10 For I I will strip bare Esau I will uncover hiding places its and it will hide itself not it will be able it will be devastated offspring its and relatives its and neighbors its and there not [will be] it.
Mais moi, j’ai dépouillé Ésaü, j’ai découvert ses lieux secrets; il ne peut se cacher. Sa semence est dévastée, et ses frères et ses voisins, et il n’est plus.
11 Leave! fatherless your I I will preserve [them] alive and widows your on me let them rely.
Laisse tes orphelins, moi je les garderai en vie, et que tes veuves se confient en moi.
12 For thus - he says Yahweh there! [those] who not sentence their [was] to drink the cup completely they will drink [it] and you he completely will you be exempt from punishment? not you will be exempt from punishment for certainly you will drink [it].
Car ainsi dit l’Éternel: Voici, ceux dont le jugement n’était pas de boire la coupe, la boiront certainement; et toi tu resterais entièrement impuni? Tu ne resteras pas impuni, mais tu la boiras certainement.
13 For by myself I swear [the] utterance of Yahweh that a waste a reproach a desolation and a curse it will become Bozrah and all cities its they will become ruins of perpetuity.
Car j’ai juré par moi-même, dit l’Éternel, que Botsra sera une désolation, un opprobre, un désert, et une malédiction, et que toutes ses villes seront des déserts perpétuels.
14 A report I have heard from with Yahweh and an envoy among the nations [has been] sent gather together and come on it and rise up for battle.
J’ai entendu une rumeur de par l’Éternel, et un ambassadeur a été envoyé parmi les nations: Assemblez-vous, et venez contre lui, et levez-vous pour la guerre.
15 For here! small I will make you among the nations despised among humankind.
Car voici, je t’ai fait petit parmi les nations, méprisé parmi les hommes.
16 Horror your it has deceived you [the] arrogance of heart your O dweller in [the] clefts of the rock O occupant of [the] height[s] of a hill for you will make high like eagle nest your from there I will bring down you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ta fierté, l’arrogance de ton cœur, t’a séduit, toi qui demeures dans les creux du rocher, [et] qui t’es emparé du haut de la colline. Quand tu élèverais ton nid comme l’aigle, je te ferai descendre de là, dit l’Éternel.
17 And it will become Edom a horror every [one who] passes by at it he will be appalled and he may hiss on all wounds its.
Et Édom sera une désolation; quiconque passera près de lui, sera étonné et sifflera à cause de toutes ses plaies.
18 Like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and neighbors its he says Yahweh not he will dwell there anyone and not he will sojourn in it a child of humankind.
Comme dans la subversion de Sodome et de Gomorrhe et des villes voisines, dit l’Éternel, personne n’y habitera et aucun fils d’homme n’y séjournera.
19 There! like a lion [which] it goes up from [the] thicket[s] of the Jordan to pastureland of an ever-flowing [stream] for I will act in a moment I will cause to run it from on it and whoever [is] chosen to it I will appoint for who? [is] like me and who? will he summon me and who? this [is] a shepherd who he will stand before me.
Voici, comme un lion, il monte de la crue du Jourdain contre la demeure forte; car je les en chasserai précipitamment. Et qui est l’homme choisi, que je préposerai sur lui? Car qui est comme moi, et qui m’assignera le temps, et qui sera le pasteur qui se tiendra devant moi?
20 Therefore hear [the] plan of Yahweh which he has planned against Edom and purposes his which he has purposed against [the] inhabitants of Teman if not people will drag away them [the] young [ones] of the flock if not he will devastate on them pastureland their.
C’est pourquoi, écoutez le conseil de l’Éternel, qu’il a formé contre Édom, et les pensées qu’il a pensées contre les habitants de Théman: Si les petits du troupeau ne les entraînent! S’il ne rend désolée pour eux leur habitation!
21 From [the] sound of falling they it will shake the earth of [the] calling out at [the] sea of reed[s] it will be heard sound its.
Au bruit de leur chute la terre tremble; il y a un cri! le bruit en est entendu à la mer Rouge.
22 There! like eagle someone will ascend and he may swoop down so he may spread out wings his over Bozrah and it will be [the] heart of [the] warriors of Edom on the day that like [the] heart of a woman in labor.
Voici, il monte comme un aigle, et il vole, et il étend ses ailes sur Botsra; et le cœur des hommes forts d’Édom sera en ce jour-là comme le cœur d’une femme en travail.
23 Of Damascus it will be ashamed Hamath and Arpad for new[s] bad they have heard they will melt away [is] in the sea anxiety to be quiet not it will be able.
Sur Damas. Hamath et Arpad sont honteuses, car elles ont entendu un bruit de malheur; elles défaillent; il y a une tourmente dans la mer, elle ne peut rester tranquille.
24 It will be disheartened Damascus it will turn back to flee and panic - it will take hold distress and pains it will seize it like [woman] giving birth.
Damas est devenue lâche, elle se tourne pour fuir, l’effroi l’a saisie; la détresse et les angoisses se sont emparées d’elle comme d’une femme qui enfante.
25 How! not it has been forsaken a city of (praise *Q(K)*) [the] town of joy my.
Dans quel abandonnement n’est-elle pas, la ville de la louange, la cité de mon délice!
26 Therefore they will fall young men its in open places its and all [the] men of war they will be silenced in the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Aussi ses jeunes gens sont tombés dans ses places et tous ses hommes de guerre sont détruits en ce jour, dit l’Éternel des armées.
27 And I will kindle a fire at [the] wall of Damascus and it will consume [the] fortresses of Ben Hadad.
Et j’allumerai un feu dans les murs de Damas, et il dévorera les palais de Ben-Hadad.
28 Of Kedar - and of [the] kingdoms of Hazor which he attacked (Nebuchadnezzar *Q(K)*) [the] king of Babylon thus he says Yahweh arise go up against Kedar and devastate [the] people of [the] east.
Sur Kédar et sur les royaumes de Hatsor, que Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone, frappa. Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Levez-vous, montez contre Kédar, et détruisez les fils de l’orient.
29 Tents their and flock[s] their people will take away tent curtains their and all equipment their and camels their they will carry off for themselves and people will call out to them terror [is] from round about.
On prendra leurs tentes et leur menu bétail, on emmènera leurs tapis, et tous leurs bagages, et leurs chameaux; et on leur criera: La terreur de tous côtés!
30 Flee take flight exceedingly make deep to dwell O inhabitants of Hazor [the] utterance of Yahweh that he has planned on you Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon a plan and he has purposed (on you *Q(K)*) a purpose.
Fuyez, enfuyez-vous très loin, habitez dans les lieux profonds, vous, habitants de Hatsor, dit l’Éternel; car Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone, a formé un dessein contre vous, et il a conçu une pensée contre eux.
31 Arise go up against a nation at ease [which] dwells to security [the] utterance of Yahweh not a pair of gates and not a bar [belong] to it alone they dwell.
Levez-vous, montez vers la nation qui jouit de la paix, qui habite en sécurité, dit l’Éternel; elle n’a ni portes ni barres; ils demeurent seuls.
32 And they will become camels their spoil and [the] abundance of livestock their plunder and I will scatter them to every wind [those who] are cut off of [the] corner and from all sides its I will bring disaster their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Et leurs chameaux seront un butin, et la multitude de leurs troupeaux sera une proie; et je les disperserai à tout vent, ceux qui coupent les coins [de leur barbe], et je ferai venir de tous les côtés leur calamité, dit l’Éternel.
33 And it will become Hazor a habitation of jackals a desolation until perpetuity not he will dwell there anyone and not he will sojourn in it a child of humankind.
Et Hatsor deviendra un repaire de chacals, une désolation à toujours; personne n’y habitera et aucun fils d’homme n’y séjournera.
34 Which it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam at [the] beginning of [the] reign of Zedekiah [the] king of Judah saying.
La parole de l’Éternel, qui vint à Jérémie le prophète, sur Élam, au commencement du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda, disant:
35 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to break [the] bow of Elam [the] beginning of strength their.
Ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées: Voici, je briserai l’arc d’Élam, les prémices de sa force.
36 And I will bring against Elam four winds from [the] four [the] ends of the heavens and I will scatter them to all the winds these and not it will be the nation where not it will go there [the] outcasts of (Elam. *Q(K)*)
Et je ferai venir contre Élam les quatre vents, des quatre bouts des cieux, et je les disperserai à tous ces vents; et il n’y aura point de nation où ne viennent les fugitifs d’Élam.
37 And I will shatter Elam (before *LAB(h)*) enemies their and before - [those who] seek life their and I will bring on them - calamity [the] burning of anger my [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will send after them the sword until have made an end of I them.
Et je ferai trembler les Élamites devant leurs ennemis et devant ceux qui cherchent leur vie; et je ferai venir du mal sur eux, l’ardeur de ma colère, dit l’Éternel; et j’enverrai après eux l’épée, jusqu’à ce que je les aie consumés.
38 And I will set throne my in Elam and I will destroy from there king and officials [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Et je mettrai mon trône en Élam, et j’en ferai périr le roi et les princes, dit l’Éternel.
39 And it will be - at [the] end of the days (I will turn back *Q(K)*) ([the] captivity of *Q(k)*) Elam [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Et il arrivera, à la fin des jours, que je rétablirai les captifs d’Élam, dit l’Éternel.
