Jeremiah 48
1 Of Moab thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel woe! to Nebo for it will be devastated it will be put to shame it will be captured Kiriathaim it will be put to shame the stronghold and it will be shattered.
Imod Moab. Saa siger den Herre Zebaoth, Israels Gud: Ve, Nebo! thi den er ødelagt; beskæmmet, indtaget er Kirjathajm; beskæmmet er Misgab og forfærdet.
2 There not again [will be] [the] praise of Moab in Heshbon people have planned on it calamity come and let us cut off it from a nation also O Madmen you will be silent after you it will go [the] sword.
Med Moabs Pris er det forbi; i Hesbon optænke de ondt imod det: Kommer og lader os udslette det, at det ikke mere er et Folk; ogsaa du, Madmen! skal ødelægges, et Sværd skal forfølge dig.
3 [the] sound of A cry of distress from Horonaim devastation and destruction great.
Der høres et Skrig fra Horanajm: Ødelæggelse og stor Forstyrrelse.
4 It will be broken Moab they will make heard a cry of distress (servants its. *Q(K)*)
Moab er forstyrret; de smaa derudi lade deres Skrig høre.
5 For [the] ascent of (Luhith *Q(K)*) with weeping someone will ascend weeping for on [the] descent of Horonaim [the] distresses of [the] crys of destruction people will hear.
Thi ad Opgangen til Lukit stiger Graad op over Graad; og ved Nedgangen til Horonajm hører man Forstyrrelses Skrig.
6 Flee save life your so they may be like a juniper bush in the wilderness.
Flyr, redder eders Liv! og I skulle være som den enlige i Ørken.
7 For because trusting you in deeds your and in treasures your also you you will be captured and he will go out (Chemosh *Q(k)*) in exile priests his and officials his (together. *Q(k)*)
Thi fordi du forlod dig paa dine Gerninger og paa dine Skatte, skal ogsaa du indtages; og Kamos skal vandre i Landflygtighed, hans Præster og hans Fyrster til Hobe.
8 So he may come a destroyer to every city and a city not it will escape and it will be destroyed the valley and it will be destroyed the plain which he has spoken Yahweh.
Og der skal komme en Ødelægger til hver Stad, og ingen Stad skal undslippe; og Dalen skal gaa til Grunde og Sletten ødelægges, som Herren har sagt.
9 Give salt to Moab for [surely] flying it will go out and cities its a waste they will become from not inhabitant in them.
Giver Moab Vinger, thi det skal flyve ud; og dets Stæder skulle være til en Ødelæggelse, saa at ingen skal bo i dem.
10 [is] cursed [one who] does [the] work of Yahweh slackness and [is] cursed [one who] withholds sword his from blood.
Forbandet være den, som gør Herrens Gerning med Efterladenhed; og forbandet være den, som holder sit Sværd tilbage fra Blod.
11 It has been at ease Moab since youth its and [has been] undisturbed it to lees its and not it has been poured from vessel to vessel and in exile not it has gone there-fore it has remained taste its in it and aroma its not it has been changed.
Moab har boet trygt fra sin Ungdom af og ligget stille paa sin Bærme og er ikke tømt af et Kar i det andet, og det er ikke draget bort iblandt de bortførte; derfor har det beholdt sin Smag, og dets Lugt er ikke forandret.
12 Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will send to it [those who] tip and they will tip it and vessels its they will empty out and jars their they will smash.
Derfor se, de Dage skulle komme, siger Herren, da jeg vil sende Folk til det, som skulle vende dets Fade om; de skulle tømme dets Kar og sønderbryde dets Flasker.
13 And it will be ashamed Moab from Chemosh just as they were ashamed [the] house of Israel from Beth-el trust their.

14 How? will you say [are] warriors we and men of strength for battle.

Moab er ødelagt, og man er steget op i dets Stæder, og dets udvalgte unge Mandskab er steget ned for at slagtes, siger Kongen, hvis Navn er Herre Zebaoth.
16 [is] near [the] disaster of Moab to coming and calamity its it will hasten exceedingly.
Moabs Undergang er nær for Haanden, og dets Ulykke skynder sig saare.
17 Show sympathy to it O all around it and O all [those who] know name its say how! it is broken a staff of strength a staff of splendor.

18 Come down from honor (and sit *Q(K)*) in thirst O inhabitant[s] of [the] daughter of Dibon for [the] destroyer of Moab he will come up on you he will ruin strongholds your.
Stig ned fra Herlighed, og sid i det tørstige Land, du Indbyggerske, Dibons Datter! thi Moabs Ødelægger er stegen op imod dig, han har ødelagt dine Befæstninger.
19 To [the] road stand and watch O inhabitant[s] of Aroer ask [a man who] flees and [a woman who] escapes say what? has it happened.

20 It has been put to shame Moab for it has been shattered (wail and cry out *Q(K)*) declare at [the] Arnon that it has been devastated Moab.
Moab er beskæmmet; thi det er knust, hyler og skriger; kundgører det ved Arnon, at Moab er ødelagt;
21 And judgment it will come to [the] land of the plain to Holon and to Jahaz and on (Mephaath. *Q(K)*)
og en Dom er kommet til Slettens Land, til Holon og til Jaza og over Mefaat
22 And on Dibon and on Nebo and on Beth Diblathaim.
og over Dibon og over Nebo og over Beth-Diblathajm
23 And on Kiriathaim and on Beth Gamul and on Beth Meon.
og over Kirjathajm og over Bethgamul og over Bethmeon
24 And on Kerioth and on Bozrah and on all [the] cities of [the] land of Moab far and near.
og over Kirjot og over Bozra og over alle Stæder i Moabs Land, de fjerne og de nære.
25 It will be cut off [the] horn of Moab and arm its it will be broken [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Moabs Horn er afhugget, og dets Arm er sønderbrudt, siger Herren,
26 Make drunk it for on Yahweh it has magnified itself and it will splash Moab in vomit its and it will become a laughing stock also it.
Gører det drukkent! thi det ophøjede sig storlig imod Herren, saa at Moab maa plaske i sit Spy, og at ogsaa det maa blive til Latter.
27 And? - not the laughing stock was it to you Israel or? among thieves (was it found *Q(K)*) for as often as words your in it you shook yourself.
Thi mon Israel ikke var dig til Latter? mon det var grebet iblandt Tyve, at du, saa tit du talte om det, skulde ryste med Hovedet?
28 Abandon cities and dwell among the rock[s] O inhabitants of Moab and be like a dove [which] it makes a nest on [the] sides of [the] mouth of a ravine.

29 We have heard [the] pride of Moab proud very haughtiness its and pride its and boastfulness its and [the] loftiness of heart its.

30 I I know [the] utterance of Yahweh arrogance its and [it is] not right empty boasts its not right they have accomplished.

31 There-fore on Moab I will wail and for Moab all of it I will cry out concerning [the] people of Kir Heres he will groan.

32 More than [the] weeping of Jazer I will weep for you O vine of Sibmah tendrils your they passed over [the] sea to [the] sea of Jazer they reached on summer fruit your and on grape harvest your a destroyer he has fallen.
Jeg maa græde over dig, du Vintræ i Sibma! mere end jeg græder over Jaeser, dine Kviste gik hen over Havet, de naaede til Jaesers Hav; en Ødelægger er falden ind over din Frugthøst og over din Vinhøst.
33 And it has been removed joy and rejoicing from [the] garden-land and from [the] land of Moab and wine from wine-presses I have made to cease not anyone will tread shouting shouting not shouting.
Og Glæde og Fryd har forladt Frugthaven og Moabs Land; og jeg vil lade Vinen høre op i Persekarrene, ingen skal træde Persen med Frydesang, Frydesangen skal ikke mere være Frydesang.
34 From [the] cry of distress of Heshbon to Elealeh to Jahaz people will give voice their from Zoar to Horonaim Eglath Shelishiyah for also [the] waters of Nimrim wastes they will become.
Af Skriget i Hesbon lade de Lyden høres, indtil Eleale, indtil Jahaz, fra Zoar indtil Horonajm, Eglath Selisia; thi ogsaa Nimjims Vande skulle blive til Ørk.
35 And I will put an end to of Moab [the] utterance of Yahweh [one who] offers up a high place and [one who] makes smoke to gods his.
Og jeg vil gøre, siger Herren, at Moab ikke mere skal have nogen, som drager op paa Højen og gør Røgoffer for sine Guder.
36 There-fore heart my for Moab like flutes it will groan and heart my concerning [the] people of Kir Heres like flutes it will groan there-fore [the] wealth [which] he acquired they will be lost.
Derfor bruser mit Hjerte som Fløjter over Moab, og mit Hjerte bruser over Mændene i Kir-Heres som Fløjter, derfor gaar Levningen, som det havde forhvervet, til Grunde.
37 For every head [will be] baldness and every beard [will be] clipped [will be] on all hands cuts and [will be] on loins sackcloth.

38 [will be] on All [the] roofs of Moab and in open places its all of it wailing for I will break Moab like a vessel [which] there not [is] pleasure in it [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Paa alle Tage i Moab og paa dets Gader er der kun Klage; thi jeg har sønderbrudt Moab som et Kar, man ikke har Lyst til, siger Herren.
39 How! it has been shattered they will wail how! it has turned a neck Moab it will be ashamed and it will become Moab a laughing stock and an object of terror to all around it.
Hvorledes er det dog knust I Hyler! hvorledes vender Moab dog Nakken til! det er beskæmmet; og Moab skal blive til Latter og til Forfærdelse for alle trindt omkring det.
40 For thus he says Yahweh there! like eagle someone will swoop down and he will spread out wings his against Moab.
Thi saa siger Hejren: Se, han kommer flyvende som Ørnen og udbreder sine Vinger imod Moab.
41 It will be captured Kerioth and the strongholds it will be seized and it will be [the] heart of [the] warriors of Moab on the day that like [the] heart of a woman in labor.
Stæderne erobres, og Fæstningerne indtages; og de vældiges Hjerte i Moab skal være paa denne Dag som en beængstet Kvindes Hjerte.
42 And it will be destroyed Moab from a people for on Yahweh it has magnified itself.
Og Moab skal ødelægges, saa at det ikke mere er et Folk, thi det har ophøjet sig storlig imod Herren.
43 Terror and pit and snare [will be] on you O inhabitant of Moab [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Forfærdelse og Grav og Snare over dig, du, som bor i Moab! siger Herren,
44 (The [one who] flees *Q(K)*) from before the terror he will fall into the pit and the [one who] climbs up from the pit he will be caught in snare for I will bring to it to Moab [the] year of punishment their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Den, som flyr for Forfærdelsen, skal falde i Graven, og den, som kommer op af Graven, skal fanges i Snaren; thi jeg Vil lade komme til det, til Moab, dets Hjemsøgelses Aar, siger Herren,
45 In [the] shadow of Heshbon they will stand from strength [those who] flee for a fire it will go forth from Heshbon and a flame from between Sihon and it consumed [the] forehead of Moab and [the] scalp of [the] sons of uproar.

46 Woe! to you O Moab it will perish [the] people of Chemosh for they will be taken sons your in captivity and daughters your in captivity.
Ve dig, Moab! Kamos's Folk er fortabt; thi dine Sønner ere tagne og førte i Fangenskab og dine Døtre i Fangenskab.
47 And I will turn back [the] captivity of Moab at [the] end of the days [the] utterance of Yahweh [is] to here [the] judgment of Moab.
Men jeg vil omvende Moabs Fangenskab i de sidste Dage, siger Herren. — Hertil gaar Dommen over Moab.
