Jeremiah 44
1 The word which it came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who were dwelling in [the] land of Egypt who were dwelling in Migdol and in Tahpanhes and in Memphis and in [the] land of Pathros saying.

2 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel you you have seen all the calamity which I brought on Jerusalem and on all [the] cities of Judah and there! they [are] a ruin the day this and there not in them [is] an inhabitant.
“Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru, Unu ji anya unu hụ ihe ọjọọ ahụ niile m mere ka ha bịakwasị Jerusalem, na obodo niile nke Juda. Lee, obodo ndị ahụ aghọọla mkpọmkpọ ebe taa, o nwekwaghị onye bi nʼime ha.
3 Because of wickedness their which they did to provoke to anger me by going to make smoke to serve gods other which not they had known them they you and ancestors your.
Ihe ndị a bịakwasịrị ha nʼihi ihe ọjọọ ha mere. Ha kpasuru m iwe site nʼịchụ aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ, na site nʼife chi ndị ọzọ, ndị ha onwe ha maọbụ nna nna ha na-amaghị.
4 And I sent to you all servants my the prophets rising early and sending saying may not please you do [the] thing of abomination this which I hate.
Site nʼoge ruo nʼoge, mgbe mgbe, eziteere m ha ndị ohu m, bụ ndị amụma, ndị gwara ha okwu sị ha, ‘Unu emela ihe arụ dị otu a nke m kpọrọ asị!’
5 And not they listened and not they inclined ear their to turn away from wickedness their to not to make smoke to gods other.
Ma ha egeghị ntị, ha atọkwaghị ntị ha nʼala. Ha esiteghị nʼihe ọjọọ ha na-eme chegharịa, maọbụ kwụsị ịchụ aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nye chi ndị ọzọ.
6 And it poured forth rage my and anger my and it burned in [the] cities of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem and they became a ruin a desolation as the day this.
Nʼihi ya, awụkwasịrị m ha ọnụma m na iwe m, nke rere dịka ọkụ megide obodo niile nke Juda, na okporoụzọ nke Jerusalem. Ya mere, ha ghọrọ mkpọmkpọ ebe na ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu taa.
7 And therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts [the] God of Israel why? [are] you doing harm great to selves your to cut off to yourselves man and woman child and suckling-child from [the] midst of Judah to not to leave for yourselves a remnant.
“Ma ugbu a, ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru, Nʼihi gịnị ka unu ji chọọ iji aka unu wetara onwe unu ihe ọjọọ ndị a? Lee ka unu si duru ndị ikom na ndị inyom niile, na ụmụntakịrị niile, na ụmụ a mụrụ ọhụrụ niile na-agbala nʼala Ijipt, si otu a mee ka, ọ bụladị, otu mkpụrụ mmadụ hapụ ịfọdụkwa nʼala Juda.
8 By provoking to anger me by [the] deeds of hands your by making smoke to gods other in [the] land of Egypt where you [have] come to sojourn there so as to cut off to yourselves and so as to become you a curse and a reproach among all [the] nations of the earth.
Gịnị mere unu na-eji ọrụ aka unu na-akpasu m iwe, na-esurere chi ndị ọzọ ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nʼala Ijipt, ebe unu bịara ibi? Unu onwe unu ga-ala onwe unu nʼiyi, mekwaa onwe unu ihe ịbụ ọnụ nakwa ihe nkọcha nʼetiti mba niile dị nʼụwa.
9 ¿ Have you forgotten [the] wicked deeds of ancestors your and [the] wicked deeds of - [the] kings of Judah and [the] wicked deeds of wives his and wicked deeds your and [the] wicked deeds of wives your which they did in [the] land of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem.
Unu echefuola ihe ọjọọ nna unu ha mere na ihe ọjọọ niile ndị eze Juda na ndị eze nwanyị Juda mere na ihe ọjọọ niile nke unu onwe unu na ndị nwunye unu mekwara nʼala Juda, na nʼokporoụzọ Jerusalem?
10 Not they have been made contrite until the day this and not they have feared and not they have walked in law my and in decrees my which I set before you and before ancestors your.
Ruo ụbọchị taa, o nwebeghị onye ọbụla nʼime ha wedarala onwe ya ala, maọbụ tụọ egwu m; ha adịghị ejegharị nʼiwu m, maọbụ jidesie ụkpụrụ ndị ahụ niile m debere nʼihu ha na nʼihu nna nna ha aka ike, ịgbaso ya.
11 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to set face my on you for harm and to cut off all Judah.
“Nʼihi ihe ndị a niile, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru: Ekpebiela m ime ka ihe ọjọọ bịakwasị unu; ekpebiela m ibibi Juda.
12 And I will take away [the] remnant of Judah who they set faces their to go [the] land of Egypt to sojourn there and they will meet their end everyone in [the] land of Egypt they will fall by the sword by famine they will meet their end from [the] small and unto [the] great by the sword and by famine they will die and they will become an curse a horror and a curse and a reproach.
Aga m eme ka ndị ahụ niile fọdụrụ nʼala Juda, bụ ndị ahụ kpebiri nʼobi ha ịga biri nʼala Ijipt ghara ịdịkwa. A ga-ala ha nʼiyi nʼala Ijipt; ha ga-ada site na mma agha, maọbụ site nʼụnwụ. Ndị niile dịkarịsịrị ukwuu nʼetiti ha na ndị niile dịkarịsịrị nta ga-anwụ. Ha ga-aghọkwa ihe ịbụ ọnụ na ihe iju anya, ihe ọmụma ikpe na ihe nkọcha.
13 And I will visit [judgment] on those [who] dwell in [the] land of Egypt just as I visited [judgment] on Jerusalem by the sword by famine and by pestilence.
Dịka m si taa Jerusalem ahụhụ, otu a ka m ga-esi jiri mma agha, na ụnwụ, na ọrịa na-efe efe, taa ndị ahụ bi nʼIjipt ahụhụ.
14 And not he will belong an escapee and a survivor to [the] remnant of Judah who went to sojourn there in [the] land of Egypt and to return - [the] land of Judah where they [are] lifting up desire their to return to dwell there for not they will return that except fugitives.
O nweghị onye ọbụla nʼime ndị Juda ahụ fọdụrụ, ndị gara biri nʼIjipt nke ga-agbanarị ọnwụ. Ọ bụ ezie na ọ na-agụsị ha agụụ ike ịlọghachi nʼala Juda, ma o nweghị onye ọbụla nʼime ha ga-alọghachi, karịakwa mmadụ ole na ole ndị ga-agbapụ agbapụ.”
15 And they answered Jeremiah all the men who knew that [were] making smoke wives their to gods other and all the women who were standing by a company great and all the people who were dwelling in [the] land of Egypt in Pathros saying.
Ndị nọ nʼebe ahụ mgbe ahụ Jeremaya kwuru okwu ndị a bụ ndị ikom ahụ niile maara na ndị nwunye ha na-achụ aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nye chi ndị ọzọ, na ndị niile bi nʼIjipt nʼakụkụ Patros. Ndị a zara Jeremaya sị ya,
16 The word which you have spoken to us in [the] name of Yahweh not we [are] about to listen to you.
“Anyị agaghị anabata okwu ahụ i si nʼaha Onyenwe anyị gwa anyị
17 For certainly we will do every thing - which it has gone out from mouth our to make smoke to [the] queen of the heavens and to pour out to her drink offerings just as we have done we and ancestors our kings our and officials our in [the] cities of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem and we were satisfied food and we were good and distress not we saw.
Nʼihi na anyị aghaghị ime ihe ndị ahụ anyị kpebiri ime. Anyị ga-achụrụ Eze nwanyị mbara Eluigwe aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ. Anyị ga-awụsakwara ya aja ihe ọṅụṅụ dịka anyị na nna anyị ha, ndị eze anyị na ndịisi ọchịchị anyị mere nʼobodo Juda niile na nʼokporoụzọ Jerusalem. Nʼoge ahụ, anyị na-eriju afọ, ihe na-agakwara anyị nke ọma, o nweghị ihe ọjọọ bịakwasịrị anyị.
18 And from then we ceased to make smoke to [the] queen of the heavens and to pour out to her drink offerings we have lacked everything and by the sword and by the famine we have met our end.
Ma site nʼoge anyị kwụsịrị ịchụrụ Eze nwanyị mbara Eluigwe aja, ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ na ịwụsara ya aja ihe ọṅụṅụ, ihe niile akọla anyị, ọ bụkwa site na mma agha na oke ụnwụ ka anyị na-ala nʼiyi.”
19 And if we [were] making smoke to [the] queen of the heavens and to pour out to her drink offerings ¿ without husbands our did we make for her cakes to form image her and to pour out to her drink offerings.
Ndị inyom ahụ niile kwukwara sị, “Mgbe ahụ anyị na-eji ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ na-achụrụ Eze nwanyị mbara Eluigwe aja na mgbe ahụ anyị na-awụsakwara ya aja ihe ọṅụṅụ, ọ bụ na ndị di na-alụ anyị amaghị na anyị na-eme achịcha nʼoyiyi ya, na-awụsakwara ya aja ihe ọṅụṅụ?”
20 And he said Jeremiah to all the people to the men and to the women and to all the people who had answered him a word saying.
Mgbe ahụ, Jeremaya gwara mmadụ ahụ niile okwu, ma ndị ikom ma ndị inyom ahụ niile zara ya okwu sị ha,
21 ¿ Not the incense which you made smoke in [the] cities of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem you and ancestors your kings your and officials your and [the] people of the land them did he remember Yahweh and did it come up on heart his.
“Onyenwe anyị chetara ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ niile unu na nna unu ha, na ndị eze unu, na ndịisi ọchịchị unu, na ndị Izrel niile ji chụọ aja nʼobodo Juda niile na nʼokporoụzọ Jerusalem niile.
22 And not he was able Yahweh still to endure because of [the] wickedness of deeds your because of the abominations which you did and it has become land your a desolation and a waste and a curse from not inhabitant as the day this.
Nʼihi ya, mgbe Onyenwe anyị na-enweghịkwa ike ịnagide ihe ọjọọ niile ndị a unu mere, na ihe arụ niile unu mere, o mere ka ala unu ghọọ mkpọmkpọ ebe, na ihe iju anya, na ihe nkọcha, nke mmadụ na-ebighị nʼime ya, dịka ọ dị taa.
23 Because that you made smoke and that you had sinned to Yahweh and not you listened to [the] voice of Yahweh and in law his and in decrees his and in testimonies his not you walked there-fore it has happened to you the calamity this as the day this.
Nʼihi na unu surere ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ na nʼihi na unu mehiere megide Onyenwe anyị, ghara irubere ya isi, maọbụ ịgbaso iwu ya, maọbụ idebe ụkpụrụ ya, maọbụ imezu ihe niile ọ sịrị ka unu mee, nʼihi ya ka ihe ọjọọ ndị a ji dakwasị unu dịka unu na-ahụ ugbu a.”
24 And he said Jeremiah to all the people and to all the women hear [the] word of Yahweh O all Judah which [is] in [the] land of Egypt.
Mgbe ahụ, Jeremaya gwara ndị inyom ahụ, na ndị Izrel niile okwu sị ha, “Nụrụnụ okwu Onyenwe anyị unu ndị Juda niile nọ nʼIjipt.
25 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel saying you and wives your and you have spoken with mouth your and with hands your you have fulfilled - saying certainly we will perform vows our which we have vowed to make smoke to [the] queen of the heavens and to pour out to her drink offerings certainly you will carry out vows your and certainly you will perform vows your.
Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru, Unu na ndị nwunye unu esitela nʼomume unu gosi na unu na-emezu ihe ndị ahụ unu ji ọnụ kwuo sị, ‘Anyị aghaghị imezu nkwa niile anyị kwere banyere ịchụ aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ na nke ihe ọṅụṅụ nye Eze nwanyị mbara Eluigwe.’ “Gaanụ nʼihu mezuo nkwa unu kwere! Mezuokwanụ iyi unu ṅụrụ.
26 Therefore hear [the] word of Yahweh O all Judah who are dwelling in [the] land of Egypt here I I swear by own name my great he says Yahweh if it will be again name my named - by [the] mouth of - any person of Judah [who] says [by] [the] life of [the] Lord Yahweh in all [the] land of Egypt.
Ma nụrụkwanụ okwu Onyenwe anyị, unu ndị Juu niile bi nʼIjipt, ‘Eji m aha m dị ukwuu na-aṅụ iyi,’ ka Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, ‘na o nweghị onye Juda ọbụla bi nʼakụkụ ọbụla nke Ijipt, nke ga-akpọkukwa aha m ọzọ, maọbụ jiri ya ṅụọ iyi sị, “Dịka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-adị ndụ.”
27 Here I [am] watching over them for harm and not for good and they will meet their end every person of Judah who [is] in [the] land of Egypt by the sword and by famine until come to an end they.
Nʼihi na anya m na-ele ha abụghị maka ime ha mma, kama ọ bụ maka ime ha ihe ọjọọ. Ndị Juu niile bi nʼIjipt ga-anwụ site na mma agha, maọbụ site nʼoke ụnwụ, tutu ruo mgbe e bibichara ha dum.
28 And escapees of [the] sword they will return! from [the] land of Egypt [the] land of Judah men of number and they will know all [the] remnant of Judah who went to [the] land of Egypt to sojourn there [the] word of whom? will it be established from me and from them.
Naanị mmadụ ole na ole ga-esi Ijipt gbalata Juda ịgbanarị mma agha. Mgbe ahụ ndị Juda niile fọdụrụ, bụ ndị bịara biri nʼIjipt, ga-amata onye okwu ya na-eguzosi ike, maọbụ nke m, maọbụ nke ha.
29 And this for you [will be] the sign [the] utterance of Yahweh that [am] about to visit [judgment] I on you in the place this so that you may know that certainly they will be established words my on you for harm.
“‘Nke a ga-abụrụ unu ihe ama nke ga-egosi unu na m ga-ata unu ahụhụ nʼebe a,’ otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. ‘Ka unu si otu a mara na mba m na-aba na m ga-emesi unu ike aghaghị iguzosi ike.’
30 Thus - he says Yahweh here I [am] about to give Pharaoh Hophra [the] king of Egypt in [the] hand of enemies his and in [the] hand of [those who] seek life his just as I gave Zedekiah [the] king of Judah in [the] hand of Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon enemy his and [one who] sought life his.
Ihe a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, ‘Aga m arara Fero Hofra, eze Ijipt nyefee nʼaka ndị iro ya, bụ ndị na-achọ ndụ ya, dịka m si rara Zedekaya eze Juda, nyefee nʼaka Nebukadneza eze Babilọn, bụ onye iro ahụ chọrọ ndụ ya.’”
