Jeremiah 41
1 And it was - in the month seventh he came Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah [the] son of Elishama one of [the] offspring of royalty and [the] chiefs of the king and ten men [who were] with him to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam Mizpah towards and they were eating there food together at Mizpah.
Ní oṣù keje Iṣmaeli, ọmọ Netaniah ọmọ Eliṣama, nínú irú-ọmọ ọba, àti àwọn ìjòyè ọba, àti àwọn ọkùnrin mẹ́wàá pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, wọ́n tọ Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu wá ní Mispa; níbẹ̀ ni wọ́n jùmọ̀ jẹun ní Mispa.
2 And he arose Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah and [the] ten the men - who they were with him and they struck down Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan with the sword and he killed him whom he had appointed [the] king of Babylon over the land.
Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah àti àwọn ọkùnrin mẹ́wàá tí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, sì dìde wọ́n kọlu Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu, ọmọ Ṣafani pẹ̀lú idà. Wọ́n sì pa á, ẹni tí ọba Babeli ti fi jẹ baálẹ̀ lórí ilẹ̀ náà.
3 And all the Jews who they were with him with Gedaliah at Mizpah and the Chaldeans who they were found there [the] men of war he struck down Ishmael.
Iṣmaeli sì tún pa gbogbo àwọn Júù tí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú Gedaliah ní Mispa, àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun Babeli tí wọ́n wà níbẹ̀ bákan náà.
4 And it was on the day second of killing Gedaliah and anyone not he knew.
Ní ọjọ́ kejì tí wọ́n pa Gedaliah kí ó tó di wí pé ẹnikẹ́ni mọ̀,
5 And they came men from Shechem from Shiloh and from Samaria eighty man shaven of beard and torn of clothes and having cut themselves and an offering and frankincense in hand their to bring [the] house of Yahweh.
àwọn ọgọ́rin ọkùnrin wá láti Ṣekemu, Ṣilo àti Samaria, wọ́n fa irùngbọ̀n wọn, wọ́n ya aṣọ wọn, wọ́n ṣá ara wọn lọ́gbẹ́, wọ́n mú ẹbọ ọpẹ́ àti tùràrí wá sí ilé Olúwa.
6 And he went out Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah to meet them from Mizpah going continually and weeping and it was when met them and he said to them come to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam.
Iṣmaeli ọmọkùnrin Netaniah jáde kúrò láti Mispa láti lọ pàdé wọn. Ó sì ń sọkún bí ó ti ṣe ń lọ, nígbà tí ó pàdé wọn, ó wí pé, “Ẹ wá sọ́dọ̀ Gedaliah ọmọkùnrin Ahikamu.”
7 And it was when came they into [the] middle of the city and he slaughtered them Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah into [the] middle of the cistern he and the men who [were] with him.
Nígbà tí wọ́n dé ìlú náà; Iṣmaeli ọmọkùnrin Netaniah àti àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ pa wọ́n, wọ́n sì sọ òkú wọn sínú ihò kan.
8 And ten men they were found among them and they said to Ishmael may not you kill us for there is [belonging] to us treasures in the field wheat and barley and oil and honey and he refrained and not he killed them in among relatives their.
Ṣùgbọ́n mẹ́wàá nínú wọn sọ fún Iṣmaeli pé, “Má ṣe pa wá! Àwa ní ọkà àti barle, òróró àti oyin ní ìpamọ́ nínú oko.” Nítorí náà, ó fi wọ́n sílẹ̀: kò sì pa wọ́n pẹ̀lú àwọn yòókù.
9 And the cistern where he threw there Ishmael - all [the] corpses of the men whom he had struck down by [the] hand of Gedaliah it [was [the] one] which he had made the king Asa because of Baasha [the] king of Israel it he filled Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah [those] slain.
Nísinsin yìí, ihò náà tí ó kó gbogbo ara àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó ti pa pẹ̀lú Gedaliah sí ni ọba Asa ń lò gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ààbò nítorí ọba Baaṣa ti Israẹli. Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah sì ti kó òkú kún inú rẹ̀.
10 And he took captive - Ishmael all [the] rest of the people which [was] in Mizpah [the] daughters of the king and all the people who remained at Mizpah whom he had appointed Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards with Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam and he took captive them Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah and he went to pass over to [the] people of Ammon.
Iṣmaeli sì kó gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn tí ó wà ní Mispa nígbèkùn, ọmọbìnrin ọba àti gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn tókù síbẹ̀ lórí àwọn tí Nebusaradani balógun àwọn ẹ̀ṣọ́ ti fi yan Gedaliah ọmọkùnrin Ahikamu ṣe olórí. Iṣmaeli ọmọkùnrin Netaniah kó wọn ní ìgbèkùn, ó sì jáde rékọjá sí ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn Ammoni.
11 And he heard Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies who [were] with him all the evil which he had done Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah.
Nígbà tí Johanani ọmọkùnrin Karea àti gbogbo àwọn olórí ogun tí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ gbọ́ nípa gbogbo ìpànìyàn náà tí Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah ti ṣe.
12 And they took all the men and they went to do battle with Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah and they found him to water great which [is] in Gibeon.
Wọ́n kó gbogbo àwọn ọkùnrin wọn, wọ́n sì, lọ bá Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah jà. Wọ́n pàdé rẹ̀ ní odò kan lẹ́bàá Gibeoni.
13 And it was when saw all the people which [was] with Ishmael Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies who [were] with him and they were glad.
Nígbà tí gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn Iṣmaeli tí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ rí Johanani ọmọkùnrin Karea àti àwọn olórí ogun rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, wọ́n sì yọ̀.
14 And they turned round all the people which he had taken captive Ishmael from Mizpah and they turned back and they went to Johanan [the] son of Kareah.
Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn tí Iṣmaeli ti kó ní ìgbèkùn ní Mispa yípadà, wọ́n sì lọ sọ́dọ̀ Johanani ọmọ Karea.
15 And Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah he escaped with eight men from before Johanan and he went to [the] people of Ammon.
Ṣùgbọ́n Iṣmaeli ọmọkùnrin Netaniah àti àwọn mẹ́jọ nínú àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ̀ bọ́ lọ́wọ́ Johanani, wọ́n sì sálọ sí Ammoni.
16 And he took Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies who [were] with him all [the] rest of the people which he had brought back from with Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah from Mizpah after he had struck down Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam men [the] men of war and women and little one[s] and court-officials whom he had brought back from Gibeon.
Lẹ́yìn náà Johanani ọmọkùnrin Karea àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun tí wọn wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ sì kó gbogbo àwọn tí ó kù ní Mispa; àwọn tí ó ti rí gbà lọ́wọ́ Iṣmaeli ọmọkùnrin Netaniah; lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó ti pa Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu. Àwọn ọmọ-ogun, àwọn obìnrin, àwọn ọmọdé àti àwọn olórí ilé ẹjọ́ tí ó ti kó wa láti Gibeoni.
17 And they went and they remained at Geruth (Kimham *Q(K)*) which [is] beside Beth-lehem to go to go Egypt.
Wọ́n sì kúrò níbẹ̀, wọ́n dúró ní Geruti Kimhamu ní ẹ̀bá Bẹtilẹhẹmu ní ọ́nà ìrìnàjò wọn sí Ejibiti.
18 From before the Chaldeans for they were afraid of them for he had struck down Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam whom he had appointed [the] king of Babylon over the land.
Láti gba àwọn Babeli sílẹ̀. Wọ́n bẹ̀rù wọn nítorí wí pé, “Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah ti pa Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu èyí tí ọba Babeli ti yàn gẹ́gẹ́ bí i gómìnà lórí ilẹ̀ náà.”
