Jeremiah 35
1 The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh in [the] days of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah saying.
Đây là sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu ban cho Giê-rê-mi khi Giê-hô-gia-kim, con Giô-si-a, làm vua Giu-đa:
2 Go to [the] house of the Rechabites and you will speak them and you will bring them [the] house of Yahweh to one of the rooms and you will give to drink them wine.
“Hãy đến tận nhà thăm gia tộc Rê-cáp, mời họ lên Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu. Dẫn họ vào một phòng nào đó trong nội thất rồi rót rượu mời họ uống.”
3 And I took Jaazaniah [the] son of Jeremiah [the] son Habazziniah and brothers his and all children his and all [the] house of the Rechabites.
Vậy, tôi đến gặp Gia-xa-nia, con Giê-rê-mi, cháu Ha-bát-si-nia, cùng tất cả anh em và các con trai ông—tất cả nhà Rê-cáp đều trình diện.
4 And I brought them [the] house of Yahweh to [the] room of [the] sons of Hanan [the] son Igdaliah [the] man of God which [was] beside [the] room of the officials which [was] from above [the] room of Maaseiah [the] son of Shallum [the] keeper of the threshold.
Tôi dẫn họ lên Đền Thờ, và chúng tôi đi vào phòng được ấn định cho các con trai của Ha-nan, con Y-đa-lia, người của Đức Chúa Trời. Phòng này ở gần phòng của các quan chức Đền Thờ, ngay trên phòng của Ma-a-xê-gia, con Sa-lum, người canh cửa Đền Thờ.
5 And I put before - [the] sons of [the] house of the Rechabites bowls full wine and cups and I said to them drink wine.
Tôi bày các chén và các bình đầy rượu trước mặt họ và mời họ uống,
6 And they said not we drink wine for Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our he commanded to us saying not you must drink wine you and children your until perpetuity.
nhưng họ từ chối. Họ nói: “Thưa không, chúng tôi không uống rượu, vì tổ phụ chúng tôi là Giô-na-đáp, con Rê-cáp, đã truyền dạy chúng tôi: ‘Các con và con cháu các con đừng bao giờ uống rượu.
7 And a house not you must build and seed not you must sow and a vineyard not you must plant and not it will belong to you for in tents you will dwell all days your so that you may live days many on [the] surface of the ground where you [are] sojourning there.
Đừng xây nhà hoặc gieo giống hay trồng nho, nhưng cứ ở trong lều suốt đời. Nếu các con vâng theo lời dặn này, thì các con sẽ được sống lâu, sống tốt lành trong xứ.’
8 And we have listened to [the] voice of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our to all that he commanded us to not to drink wine all days our we wives our sons our and daughters our.
Vì thế, chúng tôi vâng lời người trong mọi điều người dạy. Chúng tôi đã không hề uống rượu cho đến ngày nay, kể cả vợ, con trai, và con gái chúng tôi cũng vậy.
9 And to not to build houses to dwell in we and vineyard and field and seed not it belongs to us.
Chúng tôi cũng không xây nhà, không tậu vườn nho, không mua ruộng, gieo hạt.
10 And we have dwelt in tents and we have obeyed and we have done according to all that he commanded us Jonadab ancestor our.
Chúng tôi sống trong lều và giữ đúng tất cả những điều Giô-na-đáp, tổ phụ chúng tôi dặn bảo.
11 And it was when came up Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon against the land and we said come so we may go Jerusalem because of [the] army of the Chaldeans and from before [the] army of Aram and we have dwelt in Jerusalem.
Nhưng khi Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, nước Ba-by-lôn, xâm lăng đất nước này, chúng tôi rất sợ hãi người Ba-by-lôn và người Sy-ri. Vì vậy, chúng tôi quyết định dời lên Giê-ru-sa-lem. Đó là lý do chúng có mặt ở đây.”
12 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah saying.
Lúc ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu ban sứ điệp này cho Giê-rê-mi:
13 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel go and you will say to [the] man of Judah and to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem ¿ not will you accept correction to listen to words my [the] utterance of Yahweh.
“Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: Hãy đi và nói với dân tộc Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem: ‘Hãy đến và học bài học về cách vâng lời Ta.
14 It was carried out [the] words of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab which he commanded children his to not to drink wine and not they have drunk until the day this for they have obeyed [the] commandment of ancestor their and I I have spoken to you rising early and speaking and not you have listened to me.
Gia tộc Rê-cáp không uống rượu cho đến ngày nay vì họ vâng lời Giô-na-đáp dặn bảo con cháu đừng uống rượu. Còn Ta đã dặn bảo các ngươi nhiều lần, nhưng các ngươi vẫn không nghe.
15 And I sent to you all servants my the prophets - rising early and sending - saying turn back please everyone from way his evil and make good deeds your and may not you walk after gods other to serve them and dwell to the land which I gave to you and to ancestors your and not you inclined ear your and not you listened to me.
Ta cũng lần lượt sai các tiên tri đến dạy bảo các ngươi rằng: “Mỗi người hãy bỏ đường lối xấu xa và quay lại làm việc thiện lành. Đừng thờ phượng các thần lạ để các ngươi sẽ được tiếp tục an cư lạc nghiệp trong xứ mà Ta đã ban cho các ngươi và tổ phụ các ngươi.” Nhưng các ngươi không lắng nghe Ta và không vâng lời Ta.
16 For they have carried out [the] sons of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [the] commandment of ancestor their which he commanded them and the people this not they have listened to me.
Con cháu của Giô-na-đáp, con Rê-cáp, đã vâng giữ tuyệt đối lời răn dạy của tổ phụ họ, còn các ngươi lại không chịu vâng lời Ta.’
17 Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring to Judah and to all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem all the calamity which I spoke on them because I spoke to them and not they listened and I called to them and not they answered.
Vì thế, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: ‘Vì Ta dạy, các ngươi không nghe hay Ta gọi, các ngươi không trả lời, nên Ta sẽ giáng tất cả tai họa trên dân tộc Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem, như Ta đã báo trước.’”
18 And to [the] house of the Rechabites he said Jeremiah thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel because that you have listened to [the] commandment of Jonadab ancestor your and you have kept all commandments his and you have done according to all that he commanded you.
Rồi Giê-rê-mi quay sang gia tộc Rê-cáp và nói: “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: ‘Các ngươi đã vâng lời Giô-na-đáp, tổ phụ mình, nghiêm chỉnh thi hành mọi điều người khuyên răn, dạy bảo.’
19 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel not it will be cut off a man to Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [who] will stand before me all the days.
Vì thế, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: ‘Giô-na-đáp, con Rê-cáp, sẽ luôn có con cháu phục vụ Ta mãi mãi.’”
