Jeremiah 35
1 The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh in [the] days of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah saying.
Iri ndiro shoko rakasvika kuna Jeremia richibva kuna Jehovha pamazuva okutonga kwaJehoyakimi, mwanakomana waJosia mambo weJudha, richiti,
2 Go to [the] house of the Rechabites and you will speak them and you will bring them [the] house of Yahweh to one of the rooms and you will give to drink them wine.
“Enda kumhuri yavaRekabhi undovakoka kuti vauye mune rimwe kamuri raparutivi rweimba yaJehovha ugovapa waini vanwe.”
3 And I took Jaazaniah [the] son of Jeremiah [the] son Habazziniah and brothers his and all children his and all [the] house of the Rechabites.
Saka ndakaenda ndikandotora Jaazania mwanakomana waJeremia, mwanakomana waHabhazinia, nehama dzake navakomana vake vose, mhuri yose yavaRekabhi.
4 And I brought them [the] house of Yahweh to [the] room of [the] sons of Hanan [the] son Igdaliah [the] man of God which [was] beside [the] room of the officials which [was] from above [the] room of Maaseiah [the] son of Shallum [the] keeper of the threshold.
Ndakavapinza mumba maJehovha, mukamuri ravanakomana vaHanani mwanakomana waIgidharia munhu waMwari. Yakanga iri pedyo nekamuri ramachinda, rakanga riri pamusoro peraMaaseya mwanakomana waSharumi, mutariri womukova.
5 And I put before - [the] sons of [the] house of the Rechabites bowls full wine and cups and I said to them drink wine.
Ipapo ndakagadzika hari dzizere newaini nemikombe pamberi pavarume vemhuri yavaRekabhi ndikati kwavari, “Inwai waini.”
6 And they said not we drink wine for Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our he commanded to us saying not you must drink wine you and children your until perpetuity.
Asi ivo vakapindura vakati, “Hatinwi waini, nokuti tateguru wedu Jonadhabhi mwanakomana waRekabhi akatipa murayiro uyu wokuti, ‘Imi kana vana venyu hamufaniri kunwa waini zvachose.
7 And a house not you must build and seed not you must sow and a vineyard not you must plant and not it will belong to you for in tents you will dwell all days your so that you may live days many on [the] surface of the ground where you [are] sojourning there.
Zvakare, hamufaniri kutombovaka dzimba, kana kudyara mbeu kana kurima minda yemizambiringa; hamufaniri kuva nechimwe chezvinhu izvi, asi munofanira kugara mumatende nguva dzose. Ipapo muchararama mazuva akawanda munyika iyo yamuri vatorwa.’
8 And we have listened to [the] voice of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our to all that he commanded us to not to drink wine all days our we wives our sons our and daughters our.
Takateerera zvose zvatakarayirwa natateguru wedu Jonadhabhi mwanakomana waRekabhi. Hapana akambonwa waini, isu kana vakadzi vedu, kana vanakomana vedu, kana vanasikana vedu,
9 And to not to build houses to dwell in we and vineyard and field and seed not it belongs to us.
kana kuvaka dzimba dzokugara, kana kuva neminda yemizambiringa, kana minda, kana mbeu.
10 And we have dwelt in tents and we have obeyed and we have done according to all that he commanded us Jonadab ancestor our.
Takagara mumatende uye takanyatsoteerera zvose zvatakarayirwa natateguru wedu Jonadhabhi.
11 And it was when came up Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon against the land and we said come so we may go Jerusalem because of [the] army of the Chaldeans and from before [the] army of Aram and we have dwelt in Jerusalem.
Asi Nebhukadhinezari mambo weBhabhironi akati apinda munyika ino, isu takati, ‘Uyai, tiende kuJerusarema titize hondo yavaBhabhironi neyavaAramu.’ Saka takaramba tiri muJerusarema.”
12 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah saying.
Ipapo shoko raJehovha rakasvika kuna Jeremia, richiti,
13 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel go and you will say to [the] man of Judah and to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem ¿ not will you accept correction to listen to words my [the] utterance of Yahweh.
“Zvanzi naJehovha, Wamasimba Ose, Mwari waIsraeri: Enda unoudza varume veJudha navanhu veJerusarema kuti, ‘Hamudzidziwo chidzidzo here mugoteerera mashoko angu?’ ndizvo zvinotaura Jehovha.
14 It was carried out [the] words of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab which he commanded children his to not to drink wine and not they have drunk until the day this for they have obeyed [the] commandment of ancestor their and I I have spoken to you rising early and speaking and not you have listened to me.
‘Jonadhabhi mwanakomana waRekabhi akarayira vanakomana vake kuti varege kunwa waini uye murayiro uyu wanga uchingochengetwa. Kusvikira zuva ranhasi havanwi waini, nokuti vanoteerera murayiro watateguru wavo. Asi ini ndakataura ndataurazve nemi, asi hamuna kunditeerera.
15 And I sent to you all servants my the prophets - rising early and sending - saying turn back please everyone from way his evil and make good deeds your and may not you walk after gods other to serve them and dwell to the land which I gave to you and to ancestors your and not you inclined ear your and not you listened to me.
Ini ndakatuma ndatumazve kwamuri varanda vangu vose ivo vaprofita. Ivo vakati kwamuri, “Mumwe nomumwe wenyu anofanira kudzoka panzira dzakaipa dzake dzose mugonatsa zviito zvenyu; murege kutevera vamwe vamwari kuti muvashumire. Ipapo muchagara munyika yandakakupai imi namadzibaba enyu.” Asi hamuna kumborerekera nzeve dzenyu kwandiri kana kundinzwa.
16 For they have carried out [the] sons of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [the] commandment of ancestor their which he commanded them and the people this not they have listened to me.
Zvizvarwa zvaJonadhabhi mwanakomana waRekabhi vakachengeta murayiro wavakapiwa natateguru wavo, asi vanhu ava havana kunditeerera.’
17 Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring to Judah and to all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem all the calamity which I spoke on them because I spoke to them and not they listened and I called to them and not they answered.
“Naizvozvo, zvanzi naJehovha Mwari Wamasimba Ose, Mwari weIsraeri: ‘Inzwai! Ndava kuuyisa pamusoro peJudha napamusoro pavose vagere muJerusarema njodzi dzose dzandakareva pamusoro pavo. Ndakataura kwavari, asi havana kuteerera; ndakavadana, asi havana kudavira.’”
18 And to [the] house of the Rechabites he said Jeremiah thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel because that you have listened to [the] commandment of Jonadab ancestor your and you have kept all commandments his and you have done according to all that he commanded you.
Ipapo Jeremia akati kumhuri yavaRekabhi, “Zvanzi naJehovha Wamasimba Ose, Mwari waIsraeri: ‘Makateerera murayiro watateguru wenyu Jonadhabhi, mukatevera zvaakarayira zvose uye mukaita zvose zvaakatema.’
19 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel not it will be cut off a man to Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [who] will stand before me all the days.
Naizvozvo, zvanzi naJehovha Wamasimba Ose, Mwari waIsraeri: ‘Jonadhabhi mwanakomana waRekabhi haangamboshayiwi munhu angandishumira.’”
