< Jeremiah 31 >

1 At the time that [the] utterance of Yahweh I will become God for all [the] clans of Israel and they they will become for me a people.
“Nʼoge ahụ,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara ya, sị, “Aga m abụ Chineke nke agbụrụ Izrel niile. Ha ga-abụkwa ndị m.”
2 Thus he says Yahweh it found favor in the wilderness [the] people of [the] survivors of [the] sword I will go to give rest it Israel.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Ndị ahụ gbanarịrị mma agha ga-ahụta ihuọma nʼọzara. Aga m abịa iwetara Izrel izuike.”
3 From a distance Yahweh he appeared to me and a love of perpetuity I have loved you there-fore I have prolonged to you covenant loyalty.
Onyenwe anyị mere ka anyị hụ ya anya site nʼebe dị anya, na-asị, “Ọ bụ ịhụnanya nke na-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi ka m ji hụ gị nʼanya; Ọ bụ ebere nke na-adịghị agbanwe ka m ji dọta unu nso.
4 Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt O virgin of Israel again you will ornament yourself tambourines your and you will go forth in [the] dancing of merry makers.
Aga m ewulikwa gị elu ọzọ, e, aga m eme ka ị bụrụ ihe e wugharịrị ọzọ, gị Izrel bụ nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke. Mgbe ahụ, ị ga-eji ihe iti egwu gị pụọ soro ndị ọṅụ juru obi tee egwu.
5 Again you will plant vineyards on [the] hills of Samaria they will plant planters and they will put [them] to use.
Mgbe ahụ, ị ga-akụkwa ubi vaịnị a gbara ogige nʼelu ugwu Sameria.
6 For there [will be] a day [when] they will call out watchmen in [the] hill country of Ephraim arise so we may go up Zion to Yahweh God our.
Ụbọchị ahụ ga-adị mgbe ndị nche ga-anọ nʼelu ugwu nta niile nke Ifrem tikuo ndị niile sị ha, ‘Bịanụ ka anyị jeruo Zayọn, ka anyị jee nʼihu Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị.’”
7 For thus - he says Yahweh cry out of Jacob gladness and shout for joy on [the] chief of the nations make a proclamation praise and say save O Yahweh people your [the] remnant of Israel.
Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Tienụ mkpu ọṅụ nʼihi Jekọb, tienụ mkpu ọṅụ nʼihi onye ahụ kachasị mba niile nʼịdị ukwuu. Meenụ ka a nụrụ ya, toonu ma na-asịkwanụ, ‘Onyenwe anyị, biko, zọpụta ndị gị, bụ ndị Izrel fọdụrụ.’
8 Here I [am] about to bring them from a land of [the] north and I will gather them from [the] remotest parts of [the] earth [will be] among them [the] blind and [the] lame [the] pregnant and [one] giving birth alike a company great they will return hither.
9 With weeping they will come and with supplications I will bring them I will lead them to torrents of water on a path straight not they will stumble in it for I have become of Israel a father and Ephraim [is] firstborn my he.
Ha ga na-akwa akwa mgbe ha na-alọta, ha ga-anọkwa nʼekpere mgbe m ga-edulata ha. Aga m edu ha site nʼakụkụ iyi, nʼala dị larịị, ebe ha na-agaghị akpọbi ụkwụ ha, nʼihi na aghọọlara m Izrel nna, Ifrem bụkwa ọkpara m.
10 Hear [the] word of Yahweh O nations and declare in the islands from a distance and say [the] [one who] scattered of Israel he will gather it and he will keep it like a shepherd flock his.
“Nụrụnụ okwu Onyenwe anyị, unu mba niile; kwusaanụ ya nʼebe dị anya nke ala ahụ dị nʼakụkụ osimiri niile. Onye ahụ chụsara Izrel ga-achịkọtakwa ha. Ọ ga-elekọtakwa igwe ewu na atụrụ ya dịka onye ọzụzụ atụrụ.
11 For he has ransomed Yahweh Jacob and he has redeemed it from [the] hand of [one too] strong for it.
Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-agbapụta Jekọb, ọ ga-anapụtakwa ha site nʼaka ndị ka ha ike.
12 And they will come and they will cry out for joy on [the] height of Zion and they will be radiant because of [the] good thing[s] of Yahweh on grain and on new wine and on fresh oil and on [the] young of [the] flock and herd and it will be life their like a garden watered and not they will repeat to languish again.
Ha ga-abịa nọọ nʼugwu Zayọn tie mkpu ọṅụ, ha ga-aṅụrị ọṅụ nʼihi ịdị ukwu nke ezi ihe Onyenwe anyị nyere ha, dịka ọka, na mmanya ọhụrụ, na mmanụ, na ụmụ igwe ewu na atụrụ, na ọtụtụ ehi. Ha ga-adị ka ubi a na-agba mmiri mgbe niile; ha agaghị erukwa ụjụ ọzọ.
13 Then she will rejoice a virgin with dancing and young men and old [men] alike and I will turn mourning their into joy and I will comfort them and I will make glad them from sorrow their.
Mgbe ahụ, obi ga-atọ ụmụ agbọghọ ụtọ, ha ga-etekwa egwu ọṅụ, ụmụ okorobịa na ndị agadi ga-aṅụrịkwa ọṅụ. Aga m eme ka iru ụjụ ha ghọọrọ ha obi ụtọ, aga m enyekwa ha nkasiobi na ọṅụ nʼọnọdụ mwute.
14 And I will satisfy [the] appetite of the priests fatness and people my good thing[s] my they will be satisfied [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Aga m emekwa ka afọ jubiga ndị nchụaja oke nʼihi ịdị ukwuu nke onyinye ha ga-enweta, afọ ezi ihe m ga-ejukwa ndị m,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
15 Thus - he says Yahweh a voice in Ramah [is] heard a mourning song weeping of bitterness Rachel [is] weeping on children her she has refused to be comforted on children her for there not [is] he.
Ihe ndị a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “A nụrụ otu olu na Rema, iru ụjụ na oke ịkwa akwa. Rechel na-akwa akwa nʼihi ụmụ ya, o kwekwaghị ịnabata nkasiobi a na-akasị ya, nʼihi na ụmụ ya adịghịkwa.”
16 Thus - he says Yahweh restrain voice your from weeping and eyes your from tear[s] for there [will be] a reward for work your [the] utterance of Yahweh and they will return from [the] land of [the] enemy.
Ma otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Jide olu gị aka, ka ọ ghara ịkwa akwa, jidekwa anya gị abụọ, ka ha ghara ịgba anya mmiri, nʼihi na a ga-akwụ gị ụgwọ ọrụ nʼihi ọrụ gị.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. “Ha ga-esite nʼala ndị iro ha lọtakwa.
17 And there [is] hope for future your [the] utterance of Yahweh and they will return children to own territory their.
Nʼihi ya, olileanya dịkwara ọdịnʼihu gị.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri. “Ụmụ gị ga-alọtakwa nʼala nke aka ha.
18 Certainly I have heard Ephraim bemoaning itself you have disciplined me and I was disciplined like a calf [which] not it had been trained restore me so let me return for you [are] Yahweh God my.
“Anụla m nnọọ ịsụ ude Ifrem, na okwu o kwuru sị, ‘Ị dọọla m aka na ntị dịka nwa ehi nke na-eme isiike. Lee, amụtala m ihe ị chọrọ ka m mụta site nʼịdọ aka na ntị gị. Ya mere, kpọlata m, ka m nwee ike lọtakwa, nʼihi na ị bụ Onyenwe anyị na Chineke m.
19 For after turned away I I repented and after was instructed I I slapped on a thigh I was ashamed and also I was humiliated for I bore [the] reproach of youth my.
Mgbe m kpafuru, echegharịrị m. Mgbe m ghọtakwara, e tiri m aka nʼobi m, ihere mere m, ọ wutekwara m nʼihi nʼọnọdụ ihe ihere nʼihi ụdị ndụ m biri nʼokorobịa m.’
20 ¿ A son dear of me [is] Ephraim or? a child of delight for as often as speak I in him certainly I remember him still there-fore they are in a tumult inward parts my for him surely I will have compassion on him [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara.
21 Set up for yourself signposts place for yourself guideposts set heart your to the highway [the] way ([which] you went *Q(K)*) return O virgin of Israel return to cities your these.
“Manyenụ ogidi ịhụba ụzọ ama, manyekwanụ osisi ịhụba ụzọ ama. Lezienụ anya mụta aha okporoụzọ niile, bụ okporoụzọ unu ga-eso. Lọta, gị Izrel, bụ nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke, laghachi nʼobodo gị ndị a.
22 Until when? will you vacillate! O daughter apostate for he has created Yahweh a new [thing] on the earth a female she will surround a man.
23 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel again people will say the word this in [the] land of Judah and in cities its when turn back I captivity their may he bless you Yahweh O abode of righteousness O mountain of holiness.
Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel, kwuru, “Mgbe m si na mba ọzọ kpọghachi ha, ndị ga-ebi nʼala Juda na nʼime obodo ya niile ga-ekwu okwu ndị a ọzọ sị: ‘Onyenwe anyị gọzie gị, gị ebe obibi dị nsọ, gị ugwu dị nsọ.’
24 And they will dwell in it Judah and all cities its together farmers and they will journey with flock.
25 For I give water to [the] throat of [the] weary and every person [who] it has become faint I fill.
Aga m enwoghakwa ike ndị na-ada mba, meekwa ka afọ ju ndị ike gwụrụ.”
26 On this I awoke and I looked and sleep my it was pleasing to me.
Nʼoge a, esi m nʼụra teta, lee anya gburugburu m. Ụra m rahụrụ tọrọ m ụtọ nke ukwuu.
27 Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will sow [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah [the] seed of humankind and [the] seed of animal[s].
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “Lee, ụbọchị ndị ahụ na-abịa, mgbe m ga-akụ ụmụ mmadụ na ụmụ anụmanụ nʼụlọ Izrel na nʼụlọ Juda.
28 And it will be just as I kept watch over them to pluck up and to pull down and to tear down and to destroy and to do harm so I will keep watch over them to build and to plant [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ọ bụ otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
29 In the days those not people will say again fathers they have eaten sour grape[s] and [the] teeth of children they will be blunt.
“Nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ, ndị mmadụ agaghị asịkwa, “‘Nna anyị ha arachaala mkpụrụ osisi na-achaghị acha, ma lee, eze ụmụ ha na-ejiji ejiji.’
30 That except everyone for own iniquity his he will die every person who eats the sour grape[s] they will be blunt teeth his.
31 Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will make with [the] house of Israel and with [the] house of Judah a covenant new.
“Lee, oge na-abịa,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “mgbe m ga-eme ka ọgbụgba ndụ ọhụrụ dịrị nʼetiti mụ na ụlọ Izrel, nakwa ụlọ Juda.
32 Not like the covenant which I made with ancestors their on [the] day took hold I on hand their to bring out them from [the] land of Egypt who they they broke covenant my and I I was a husband over them [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ọ bụghị ụdị ọgbụgba ndụ ahụ mụ na nna nna ha gbara, mgbe ahụ m jidere ha nʼaka site nʼala Ijipt dupụta ha, nʼihi na ha mebie ọgbụgba ndụ m, ọ bụ ezie na mụ onwe m bụ di nye ha,” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara.
33 That this [is] the covenant which I will make with [the] house of Israel after the days those [the] utterance of Yahweh I will put law my in inner being their and on heart their I will write it and I will become for them God and they they will become for me a people.
“Ma nke a bụ ọgbụgba ndụ mụ na ụlọ Izrel ga-agba mgbe oge ndị ahụ gasịrị,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. “Aga m etinye iwu m nʼime obi ha, aga m edekwasịkwa ha nʼuche ha. Aga m abụ Chineke ha, ha onwe ha ga-abụkwa ndị m.
34 And not they will teach again each neighbor his and each brother his saying know Yahweh for all of them they will know me from little their and unto great their [the] utterance of Yahweh that I will forgive iniquity their and sin their not I will remember again.
Ọ dịghị onye ọbụla nʼetiti ha ga-akụziri onye agbataobi ya ihe, maọbụ otu onye asị ibe ya, ‘Mara Onyenwe anyị,’ nʼihi na ha niile ga-ama onye m bụ, site nʼonye dịkarịsịrị nta ruo nʼonye dịkarịsịrị ukwuu nʼetiti ha.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya. “Nʼihi na aga m agbaghara ajọ omume ha, agaghị m echetakwa mmehie ha niile ọzọ.”
35 Thus - he says Yahweh [who] gives [the] sun for light by day [the] fixed order of [the] moon and [the] stars for light night [who] stirs up the sea and they roared waves its [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, bụ onye ahụ họpụtara anyanwụ mee ka ọ na-enye ihe nʼehihie, onye ahụ nyere ọnwa na kpakpando iwu ka ha na-enye ihe nʼanyasị, onye na-akpali oke osimiri, na-eme ka ebiliri mmiri na-ebigbọ. Aha ya bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
36 If they will depart the fixed order these from to before me [the] utterance of Yahweh also [the] offspring of Israel they will cease from being a nation before me all the days.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “Ọ bụ naanị ma ụkpụrụ ndị a ọ pụrụ nʼihu m, ghara ịdịkwa, ka a ga-eme ka ụmụ ụmụ Izrel ghara ịdị, ka ha ghara ịbụkwa mba nʼihu m ọzọ.”
37 Thus - he says Yahweh if they will be measured [the] heavens from to above so they may be explored [the] foundations of [the] earth downwards also I I will reject all [the] offspring of Israel on all that they have done [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Ọ bụ naanị mgbe e nwere ike ịtụ ma chọpụta ịsa mbara nke mbara eluigwe, na ịdị omimi nke ntọala ụwa, ka m ga-ajụ ụmụ ụmụ niile nke Izrel, nʼihi ihe niile ha mere.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
38 Here! (days [are] coming *Q(K)*) [the] utterance of Yahweh and it will be rebuilt the city for Yahweh from [the] tower of Hananel [the] gate of the corner.
“Ụbọchị ndị ahụ na-abịa, Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri, mgbe a ga-ewugharị obodo a nye m, site nʼụlọ elu Hananel ruo nʼọnụ ụzọ ama Akụkụ.
39 And it will go out again ([the] line of *Q(K)*) measurement before itself to [the] hill of Gareb and it will turn Goah towards.
Ịdị ogologo nke eriri ọtụtụ a ga-eji tụọ ya ga-adị ka site nʼihu ọnụ ụzọ ama ahụ ruo nʼugwu Gareb, gaakwa ruo Goa.
40 And all the valley of the corpses - and the fatty ash and all (the terraced fields *Q(K)*) to [the] wadi of Kidron to [the] corner of [the] gate of the horses east-ward [will be] holy to Yahweh not it will be plucked up and not it will be torn down again for ever.
Ndagwurugwu ahụ niile ebe a tụnyere ozu ndị mmadụ, na ebe e kpofuru ntụ, na mgbada ugwu ahụ niile ebe e doziri edozi maka ịkụ ihe, ruo na ndagwurugwu iyi Kidrọn nke dị nʼakụkụ ọnụ ụzọ ama ịnyịnya, ga-aghọkwa ebe dị nsọ nye Onyenwe anyị. A gaghị ehopukwa obodo ahụ ọzọ, maọbụ tikpọọ ya.”
