Jeremiah 29

1 And these [are] [the] words of the letter which he sent Jeremiah the prophet from Jerusalem to [the] remainder of [the] elders of the exile[s] and to the priests and to the prophets and to all the people which he had taken into exile Nebuchadnezzar from Jerusalem Babylon towards.

Or ce sont ici les paroles des Lettres que Jérémie le Prophète envoya de Jérusalem au reste des Anciens de ceux qui avaient été transportés, et aux Sacrificateurs, et aux Prophètes, et à tout le peuple que Nébucadnetsar avait transporté de Jérusalem à Babylone;

2 After went out Jeconiah the king and the queen-mother and the court-officials [the] officials of Judah and Jerusalem and the craftsman and the smith from Jerusalem.

Après que le Roi Jéchonias fut sorti de Jérusalem, avec la Régente, et les Eunuques, et les principaux de Juda et de Jérusalem, et les charpentiers, et les serruriers.

3 By [the] hand of Eleasah [the] son of Shaphan and Gemariah [the] son of Hilkiah whom he sent Zedekiah [the] king of Judah to Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon Babylon towards saying.

Par Elhasa fils de Saphan, et Guémarja fils de Hilkija, lesquels Sédécias Roi de Juda envoyait à Babylone vers Nébucadnetsar Roi de Babylone; [et ces Lettres] étaient de telle teneur:

4 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel to all the exile[s] whom I sent into exile from Jerusalem Babylon towards.

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, à tous ceux qui ont été transportés, [et] que j'ai fait transporter de Jérusalem à Babylone.

5 Build houses and dwell and plant gardens and eat produce their.

Bâtissez des maisons, et [y] demeurez; plantez des jardins, et en mangez les fruits.

6 Take wives and father sons and daughters and take for sons your wives and daughters your give to husbands so they may bear sons and daughters and multiply there and may not you diminish.

Prenez des femmes, et engendrez des fils et des filles; prenez aussi des femmes pour vos fils, et donnez vos filles à des hommes, et qu'elles enfantent des fils et des filles, et multipliez là, et ne soyez point diminués.

7 And seek [the] welfare of the city where I have sent into exile you there towards and pray for it to Yahweh for in welfare its it will belong to you welfare.

Et cherchez la paix de la ville dans laquelle je vous ai fait transporter, et priez l'Eternel pour elle; parce qu'en sa paix vous aurez la paix.

8 For thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel may not they deceive you prophets your who [are] in midst your and diviners your and may not you listen to dreams your which you [are] dreaming.

Car ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: que vos prophètes qui sont parmi vous, et vos devins, ne vous séduisent point, et ne croyez point à vos songes que vous songez.

9 For with falsehood they [are] prophesying to you in name my not I sent them [the] utterance of Yahweh.

Parce qu'ils vous prophétisent faussement en mon Nom; je ne les ai point envoyés, dit l'Eternel.

10 That thus he says Yahweh if to [the] mouth will be completed for Babylon seventy year[s] I will give attention to you and I will carry out on you word my good by bringing back you to the place this.

Car ainsi a dit l'Eternel: lorsque les soixante-dix ans seront accomplis à Babylone, je vous visiterai, et je mettrai en exécution ma bonne parole sur vous, pour vous faire retourner en ce lieu-ci.

11 For I I know the plans which I [am] planning on you [the] utterance of Yahweh plans of well-being and not for harm to give to you a future and a hope.

Car je sais que les pensées que j'ai sur vous, dit l'Eternel, sont des pensées de paix, et non pas d'adversité, pour vous donner une fin telle que vous attendez.

12 And you will call on me and you will come and you will pray to me and I will listen to you.

Alors vous m'invoquerez pour vous en retourner; et vous me prierez, et je vous exaucerai.

13 And you will seek me and you will find [me] if you will seek me with all heart your.

Vous me chercherez, et vous me trouverez, après que vous m'aurez recherché de tout votre cœur.

14 And I will let myself be found by you [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will turn back (captivity your *Q(k)*) and I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I banished you there [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will bring back you to the place where I sent into exile you from there.

Car je me ferai trouver à vous, dit l'Eternel, je ramènerai vos captifs, et je vous rassemblerai d'entre toutes les nations, et de tous les lieux où je vous aurai dispersés, dit l'Eternel, et je vous ferai retourner au lieu dont je vous aurai transportés.

15 For you have said he has raised up for us Yahweh prophets Babylon.

Parce que vous aurez dit: l'Eternel nous a suscité des Prophètes qui ont [prophétisé que nous viendrions] à Babylone.

16 For thus - he says Yahweh concerning the king who sits to [the] throne of David and concerning all the people which dwells in the city this countrymen your who not they went out with you in the exile.

C'est pourquoi ainsi a dit l'Eternel, touchant le Roi qui est assis sur le trône de David, et touchant tout le peuple qui habite dans cette ville, [c'est-à-dire], touchant vos frères qui ne sont point allés avec vous en captivité;

17 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to send on them the sword famine and pestilence and I will make them like figs rotten which not they will be eaten from badness.

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées: voici, je m'en vais envoyer sur eux l'épée, la famine, et la mortalité, et je les ferai devenir comme des figues qui sont étrangement mauvaises, [et] qu'on ne peut manger, tant elles sont mauvaises.

18 And I will pursue after them with the sword with famine and with pestilence and I will make them (into a terror *Q(K)*) to all - [the] kingdoms of the earth into a curse and into a waste and into a hissing and into a reproach among all the nations where I have banished them there.

Et je les poursuivrai avec l'épée, par la famine, et par la mortalité; et je les abandonnerai à être agités par tous les Royaumes de la terre, et pour être en exécration, en étonnement, en raillerie, et en opprobre à toutes les nations parmi lesquelles je les aurai dispersés.

19 Because that not they listened to words my [the] utterance of Yahweh [those] whom I sent to them servants my the prophets rising early and sending and not you listened [the] utterance of Yahweh.

Parce qu'ils n'ont point écouté mes paroles, dit l'Eternel, qui leur ai envoyé mes serviteurs Prophètes, en me levant dès le matin, et les envoyant; et vous n'avez point écouté, dit l'Eternel.

20 And you hear [the] word of Yahweh O all the exile[s] whom I sent from Jerusalem Babylon towards.

Vous tous donc qui avez été transportés, [et] que j'ai renvoyés de Jérusalem à Babylone, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel.

21 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel concerning Ahab [the] son of Kolaiah and to Zedekiah [the] son of Maaseiah who are prophesying to you in name my falsehood here I - [am] about to give them in [the] hand of Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon and he will strike down them to eyes your.

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, touchant Achab fils de Kolaja, et touchant Sédécias fils de Mahaséja, qui vous prophétisent faussement en mon Nom: voici, je m'en vais les livrer en la main de Nébucadnetsar Roi de Babylone, et il les frappera devant vos yeux.

22 And it will be taken from them a curse by all [the] exile[s] of Judah who [are] in Babylon saying may he make you Yahweh like Zedekiah and like Ahab whom he roasted them [the] king of Babylon in the fire.

Et on prendra d'eux un formulaire de malédiction parmi tous ceux qui ont été transportés de Juda, qui [sont] à Babylone, en disant: l'Eternel te mette en tel état qu'il a mis Sédécias et Achab, lesquels le Roi de Babylone a grillés au feu.

23 Because that they did folly in Israel and they committed adultery [the] wives of neighbors their and they spoke a word in name my falsehood which not I commanded them and I ([am he] who knows *Q(K)*) and a witness [the] utterance of Yahweh.

Parce qu'ils ont commis des impuretés en Israël, et qu'ils ont commis adultère avec les femmes de leurs prochains, et qu'ils ont dit en mon Nom des paroles fausses, que je ne leur avais pas commandées, et je le sais, et j'en suis témoin, dit l'Eternel.

24 And to Shemaiah the Nehelamite you will say saying.

Parle aussi à Sémahia Néhélamite, en disant:

25 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel saying because that you you sent in own name your letters to all the people which [is] in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah [the] son of Maaseiah the priest and to all the priests saying.

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: parce que tu as envoyé en ton Nom des Lettres à tout le peuple qui [est] à Jérusalem, et à Sophonie fils de Mahaséja Sacrificateur, et à tous les Sacrificateurs, en disant:

26 Yahweh he has made you priest in place of Jehoiada the priest to be overseers [the] house of Yahweh to every person [who] is mad and [who] prophesies and you will put him into the stock[s] and into the iron collar.

L'Eternel t'a établi pour Sacrificateur en la place de Jéhojadah le Sacrificateur, afin que vous ayez la charge de la maison de l'Eternel sur tout homme agité par l'esprit, et faisant du Prophète, pour les mettre en prison et aux fers:

27 And therefore why? not have you rebuked Jeremiah the Anathothite who is prophesying to you.

Et maintenant, pourquoi n'as-tu pas réprimé Jérémie de Hanathot, qui vous prophétise?

28 For since he has sent to us Babylon saying [will be] a long [time] it build houses and dwell and plant gardens and eat produce their.

Car à cause de cela il nous a envoyé dire à Babylone: la [captivité] sera longue: bâtissez des maisons, et [y] demeurez; plantez des jardins, et mangez-en les fruits.

29 And he read aloud Zephaniah the priest the letter this in [the] ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

(Or Sophonie le Sacrificateur avait lu ces Lettres-là, Jérémie le Prophète l'entendant, )

30 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah saying.

C'est pourquoi la parole de l'Eternel fut [adressée] à Jérémie, en disant:

31 Send to all the exile[s] saying thus he says Yahweh concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite because that he has prophesied to you Shemaiah and I not I sent him and he has made rely you on falsehood.

Mande à tous ceux qui ont été transportés, et leur dis: ainsi a dit l'Eternel touchant Sémahia Néhélamite: parce que Sémahia vous a prophétisé, quoique je ne l'aie point envoyé, et vous a fait confier au mensonge;

32 Therefore thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to visit [judgment] on Shemaiah the Nehelamite and on offspring his not he will belong to him anyone - dwelling - in among the people this and not he will look on the good which I [will be] doing for people my [the] utterance of Yahweh for rebellion he has spoken on Yahweh.

A cause de cela l'Eternel a dit ainsi: voici, je m'en vais punir Sémahia Néhélamite et sa postérité, [et] il n'y aura personne de sa race qui habite parmi ce peuple, et il ne verra point le bien que je m'en vais faire à mon peuple, dit l'Eternel; parce qu'il a parlé de révolte contre l'Eternel.
