Jeremiah 25
1 The word which it came to Jeremiah on all [the] people of Judah in the year fourth of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah it [was] the year first of Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon.
Detta är det ord som kom till Jeremia angående hela Juda folk, i Jojakims, Josias sons, Juda konungs, fjärde regeringsår, vilket var Nebukadressars, den babyloniske konungens, första regeringsår.
2 Which he spoke Jeremiah the prophet to all [the] people of Judah and to all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem saying.
Och detta ord talade profeten Jeremia till hela Juda folk och till alla Jerusalems invånare; han sade:
3 Since thir-teen year of Josiah [the] son of Amon [the] king of Judah and until - the day this this three and twenty year[s] it has come [the] word of Yahweh to me and I have spoken to you rising early and speaking and not you have listened.
Allt ifrån Josias, Amons sons, Juda konungs, trettonde regeringsår ända till denna dag, eller nu under tjugutre år, har HERRENS ord kommit till mig; men fastän jag titt och ofta har talat till eder, haven I icke velat höra.
4 And he sent Yahweh to you all servants his the prophets rising early and sending and not you listened and not you inclined ear your to listen.
Och fastän HERREN titt och ofta har sänt till eder alla sina tjänare profeterna, haven I icke velat höra. I böjden icke edra öron till att höra,
5 Saying turn back please everyone from way his evil and from [the] wickedness of deeds your and dwell on the land which he gave Yahweh to you and to ancestors your from antiquity and until perpetuity.
när de sade: "Vänden om, var och en från sin onda väg och sitt onda väsende, så skolen I för evärdliga tider få bo kvar i det land som HERREN har givit åt eder och edra fäder.
6 And may not you walk after gods other to serve them and to bow down to them and not you must provoke to anger me by [the] work of hands your and not I will do harm to you.
Och följen icke efter andra gudar, så att I tjänen och tillbedjen dem; och förtörnen mig icke genom edra händers verk, på det att jag icke må låta olycka komma över eder.
7 And not you have listened to me [the] utterance of Yahweh so as (to provoke to anger me *Q(K)*) by [the] work of hands your for harm of you.
I villen icke höra på mig, säger HERREN, och så förtörnaden I mig genom edra händers verk, eder själva till olycka.
8 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts because that not you have listened to words my.
Därför säger HERREN Sebaot så: Eftersom I icke villen höra mina ord,
9 Here I [am] about to send and I will fetch all [the] clans of [the] north [the] utterance of Yahweh and to Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon servant my and I will bring them on the land this and on inhabitants its and on all the nations these round about and I will totally destroy them and I will make them into a waste and into a hissing and into ruins of perpetuity.
därför skall jag sända åstad och hämta alla nordens folkstammar, säger HERREN, och skall sända bud till min tjänare Nebukadressar, konungen i Babel; och jag skall låta dem komma över detta land och dess inbyggare, så ock över alla folken här runt omkring. Och dem skall jag giva till spillo, och skall göra dem till ett föremål för häpnad och begabberi, och låta deras land bliva ödemarker för evärdlig tid.
10 And I will destroy from them [the] sound of joy and [the] sound of gladness [the] sound of a bridegroom and [the] sound of a bride [the] sound of a hand-mill and [the] light of a lamp.
Och jag skall i dem göra slut på fröjderop och glädjerop, på rop för brudgum och rop för brud, på buller av kvarn och ljus från lampa.
11 And it will become all the land this a desolation a waste and they will serve the nations these [the] king of Babylon seventy year[s].
Ja, hela detta land skall bliva ödelagt och förött, och dessa folk skola vara Babels konung underdåniga i sjuttio år.
12 And it will be when are completed seventy year[s] I will visit [judgment] on [the] king of Babylon and on the nation that [the] utterance of Yahweh iniquity their and on [the] land of [the] Chaldeans and I will make it into desolations of perpetuity.
Men när sjuttio år äro till ända skall jag hemsöka konungen i Babel och folket där för deras missgärning, säger HERREN, och hemsöka kaldéernas land och göra det till en ödemark för evärdlig tid.
13 (And I will bring *Q(k)*) on the land that all words my which I spoke on it every [thing] written in the book this which he prophesied Jeremiah on all the nations.
Och jag skall på det landet låta alla de ord fullbordas, som jag har talat mot det, allt vad som är skrivet i denna bok, och vad Jeremia har profeterat mot alla dessa folk.
14 For they will work by them also they nations many and kings great and I will repay to them according to deed[s] their and according to [the] work of hands their.
Ty också dem skola mäktiga folk och stora konungar göra sig underdåniga, och jag skall vedergälla dem efter deras gärningar och deras händers verk.
15 For thus he said Yahweh [the] God of Israel to me take [the] cup of wine the rage this from hand my and you will make drink it all the nations which I [am] sending you to them.
Ty så sade HERREN, Israels Gud, till mig: "Tag denna kalk med vredesvin ur min hand, och giv alla de folk till vilka jag sänder dig att dricka därur.
16 And they will drink and they will stagger to and fro and they will act like mad people because of the sword which I [am] about to send between them.
Må de dricka, så att de ragla och mista sansen, när det svärd kommer, som jag skall sända ibland dem."
17 And I took the cup from [the] hand of Yahweh and I made drink all the nations which he sent me Yahweh to them.
Och jag tog kalken ur HERRENS hand och gav alla de folk att dricka, till vilka HERREN sände mig,
18 Jerusalem and [the] cities of Judah and kings its officials its to make them into a ruin into a waste into a hissing and into a curse as the day this.
nämligen Jerusalem med Juda städer och med dess konungar och furstar, för att så göra dem till en ödemark, och till ett föremål för häpnad och begabberi, och till ett exempel som man nämner, när man förbannar, såsom ock nu har skett;
19 Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and servants his and officials his and all people his.
vidare Farao, konungen i Egypten, med hans tjänare, hans furstar och allt hans folk,
20 And every foreigner and all [the] kings of [the] land of Uz and all [the] kings of [the] land of [the] Philistines and Ashkelon and Gaza and Ekron and [the] remnant of Ashdod.
så ock allt Erebs folk med alla konungar i Us' land och alla konungar i filistéernas land, både Askelon och Gasa och Ekron och kvarlevan i Asdod;
21 Edom and Moab and [the] people of Ammon.
vidare Edom, Moab och Ammons barn;
22 And all [the] kings of Tyre and all [the] kings of Sidon and [the] kings of the coastland which [is] on [the] other side of the sea.
vidare alla konungar i Tyrus, alla konungar i Sidon och konungarna i kustländerna på andra sidan havet;
23 And Dedan and Tema and Buz and all [those who] are cut off of [the] corner.
vidare Dedan, Tema, Bus och alla dem som hava kantklippt hår;
24 And all [the] kings of Arabia and all [the] kings of the Arab[s] who dwell in the wilderness.
vidare alla konungar i Arabien och alla konungar över Erebs folk, som bo i öknen,
25 And - all [the] kings of Zimri and all [the] kings of Elam and all [the] kings of Media.
så ock alla konungar i Simri, alla konungar i Elam och alla konungar i Medien,
26 And - all [the] kings of the north near and far each to brother his and all the kingdoms of the earth which [are] on [the] surface of the ground and [the] king of Sheshach he will drink after them.
slutligen alla konungar i nordlandet -- både dem som bo nära och dem som bo fjärran, den ene såväl som den andre -- och alla övriga riken i världen, utöver jordens yta. Och Sesaks konung skall dricka efter dem.
27 And you will say to them. Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel drink and become drunk and vomit and fall down and not you will rise because of the sword which I [am] about to send between you.
Och du skall säga till dem: Så säger HERREN Sebaot, Israels Gud: Dricken, så att I bliven druckna, och spyn, och fallen omkull utan att kunna stå upp; ja, fallen, när det svärd kommer, som jag skall sända bland eder. --
28 And it will be that they will refuse to take the cup from hand your to drink and you will say to them thus he says Yahweh of hosts certainly you will drink.
Men om de icke vilja taga emot kalken ur din hand och dricka, så säg till dem: Så säger HERREN Sebaot: I måsten dricka.
29 For here! on the city which it is called name my on it I [am] beginning to do harm and you certainly will you be exempt from punishment? not you will be exempt from punishment for a sword I [am] calling on all [the] inhabitants of the earth [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Ty se, med den stad som är uppkallad efter mitt namn skall jag begynna hemsökelsen. Skullen då I bliva ostraffade? Nej, I skolen icke bliva ostraffade, utan jag skall båda upp ett svärd mot jordens alla inbyggare, säger HERREN Sebaot.
30 And you you will prophesy to them all the words these and you will say to them Yahweh from a high place he will roar and from [the] dwelling of holiness his he will give forth voice his certainly he will roar on habitation his a shout like [those who] tread he will sing to all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
Och du skall profetera för dem allt detta och säga till dem: HERREN upphäver ett rytande från höjden och från sin heliga boning låter han höra sin röst; ja, han upphäver ett högt rytande över sin ängd och höjer skördeskri, såsom en vintrampare, över alla jordens inbyggare.
31 It has come an uproar to [the] end of the earth for a controversy [belongs] to Yahweh on the nations [is] about to enter into judgment he to all flesh the wicked [people] he has delivered up them to the sword [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Dånet höres intill jordens ända, ty HERREN har sak med folken, han går till rätta med allt kött; de ogudaktiga giver han till pris åt svärdet, säger HERREN.
32 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts there! calamity [is] about to go forth from nation to nation and a storm great it will be roused from [the] remotest parts of [the] earth.
Så säger HERREN Sebaot: Se, en olycka går fram ifrån det ena folket till det andra, och ett stort oväder stiger upp från jordens yttersta ända.
33 And they will be [those] slain of Yahweh on the day that from [the] end of the earth and to [the] end of the earth not they will be mourned and not they will be gathered and not they will be buried dung on [the] surface of the ground they will become.
Och de som bliva slagna av HERREN på den tiden skola ligga strödda från jordens ena ända till den andra; man skall icke hålla dödsklagan efter dem eller samla dem tillhopa och begrava dem, utan de skola bliva gödsel på marken.
34 Wail O shepherds and cry out and roll in ashes O noble [ones] of the flock for they have been completed days your to slaughter and dispersions your and you will fall like a vessel of desire.
Jämren eder, I herdar, och klagen; vältren eder på marken, I väldige i hjorden; ty tiden är inne, att I skolen slaktas. I skolen bliva förskingrade, I skolen komma på fall, såsom det händer jämväl ett dyrbart kärl.
35 And it will be lost a place of escape from the shepherds and escape from [the] noble [ones] of the flock.
Då finnes icke mer någon undflykt för herdarna, icke mer någon räddning för de väldige i hjorden.
36 [the] sound of [the] cry of distress of The shepherds and [the] wailing of [the] noble [ones] of the flock for [is] destroying Yahweh pasture their.
Hör huru herdarna ropa, huru de väldige i hjorden jämra sig! Ty HERREN ödelägger deras betesmark,
37 And they will be devastated [the] pastures of peace because of [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh.
och de fredliga ängderna förgöras genom HERRENS vredes glöd.
38 He has left like young lion lair his for it has become land their a waste because of [the] anger of the oppressor and because of [the] burning of anger his.
Han drager ut såsom ett lejon ur sitt snår. Ja, deras land bliver en ödemark under förhärjelsens glöd, under hans vredes glöd.
