Jeremiah 24
1 He showed me Yahweh and there! two baskets of figs [were] set before [the] temple of Yahweh after took into exile Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon Jeconiah [the] son of Jehoiakim [the] king of Judah and [the] officials of Judah and the craftsman and the smith[s] from Jerusalem and he brought them Babylon.
L’Éternel me fit voir deux paniers de figues posés devant le temple de l’Éternel, après que Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, eut emmené de Jérusalem et conduit à Babylone Jeconia, fils de Jojakim, roi de Juda, les chefs de Juda, les charpentiers et les serruriers.
2 The basket one [was] figs good very like [the] figs of the early figs and the basket one [was] figs bad very which not they will be eaten from badness.
L’un des paniers contenait de très bonnes figues, comme les figues de la première récolte, et l’autre panier de très mauvaises figues, qu’on ne pouvait manger à cause de leur mauvaise qualité.
3 And he said Yahweh to me what? [are] you seeing O Jeremiah and I said figs the figs good [are] good very and the bad [figs] [are] bad very which not they will be eaten from badness.
L’Éternel me dit: Que vois-tu, Jérémie? Je répondis: Des figues. Les bonnes figues sont très bonnes, et les mauvaises sont très mauvaises et ne peuvent être mangées à cause de leur mauvaise qualité.
4 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
5 Thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel like the figs good these so I will regard [the] exile[s] of Judah whom I have sent from the place this [the] land of [the] Chaldeans for good.
Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël: Comme tu distingues ces bonnes figues, ainsi je distinguerai, pour leur être favorable, les captifs de Juda, que j’ai envoyés de ce lieu dans le pays des Chaldéens.
6 And I will set eye my on them for good and I will bring back them to the land this and I will build up them and not I will tear [them] down and I will plant them and not I will pluck [them] up.
Je les regarderai d’un œil favorable, et je les ramènerai dans ce pays; je les établirai et ne les détruirai plus, je les planterai et ne les arracherai plus.
7 And I will give to them a heart to know me that I [am] Yahweh and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God for they will return to me with all heart their.
Je leur donnerai un cœur pour qu’ils connaissent que je suis l’Éternel; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, s’ils reviennent à moi de tout leur cœur.
8 And like the figs bad which not they will be eaten from badness for thus - he says Yahweh so I will make Zedekiah [the] king of Judah and officials his and - [the] remnant of Jerusalem those [who] remain in the land this and those [who] dwell in [the] land of Egypt.
Et comme les mauvaises figues qui ne peuvent être mangées à cause de leur mauvaise qualité, dit l’Éternel, ainsi ferai-je devenir Sédécias, roi de Juda, ses chefs, et le reste de Jérusalem, ceux qui sont restés dans ce pays et ceux qui habitent dans le pays d’Égypte.
9 And I will make them (into a terror *Q(K)*) into an evil to all [the] kingdoms of the earth into a reproach and into a byword into a taunt and into a curse in all the places where I will banish them there.
Je les rendrai un objet d’effroi, de malheur, pour tous les royaumes de la terre, un sujet d’opprobre, de sarcasme, de raillerie, et de malédiction, dans tous les lieux où je les chasserai.
10 And I will send on them the sword the famine and the pestilence until are finished they from on the ground which I gave to them and to ancestors their.
J’enverrai parmi eux l’épée, la famine et la peste, jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient disparu du pays que j’avais donné à eux et à leurs pères.
