Jeremiah 23
1 Woe to! [the] shepherds [who] are causing to stray and [who are] scattering [the] flock of pasture my [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Malheur aux pasteurs qui ruinent et dispersent les brebis de mon troupeau!" dit l’Eternel.
2 Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel on the shepherds who are shepherding people my you you have scattered flock my and you have driven away them and not you have paid attention to them here I [am] about to visit on you [the] wickedness of deeds your [the] utterance of Yahweh.
C’Est pourquoi, voici ce que déclare l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, à l’encontre des pasteurs qui mènent mon peuple: "C’Est vous qui avez dispersé mes brebis, qui les avez fourvoyées et n’en avez pris nul soin. Eh bien, moi, j’aurai soin de vous châtier pour vos mauvaises actions, dit l’Eternel."
3 And I I will gather together [the] remnant of flock my from all the lands where I have banished them there and I will bring back them to pasture their and they will be fruitful and they will increase.
Moi, je rassemblerai les restes de mon troupeau de toutes les terres où je les ai relégués, je les ramènerai à leur pâturage, pour qu’ils y croissent et s’y multiplient.
4 And I will raise up over them shepherds and they will shepherd them and not they will be afraid again and not they will be terrified and not they will be missing [the] utterance of Yahweh.
J’Établirai sur eux des pasteurs qui les feront paître, et ils n’auront plus de crainte, ils n’auront plus d’alarme, et il ne s’en perdra plus, dit l’Eternel.
5 Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will raise up for David a branch righteous and he will reign a king and he will act prudently and he will do justice and righteousness in the land.
Voici que des jours viennent, dit l’Eternel, où je susciterai à David un rejeton juste, qui régnera en roi, agira avec sagesse et exercera le droit et la justice dans le pays.
6 In days his it will be saved Judah and Israel it will dwell to security and this [will be] name his which anyone will call him Yahweh - [is] righteousness our.
En ses jours, Juda sera sauf et Israël habitera en pleine sécurité, et voici le nom qu’on lui donnera: "L’Eternel est mon Droit!"
7 Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and not people will say again [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt.
En vérité, des jours viendront, dit l’Eternel, où l’on ne dira plus: "Vive l’Eternel qui a fait monter les enfants d’Israël du pays d’Egypte!"
8 That except [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up and who he brought [the] offspring of [the] house of Israel from a land north-ward and from all the lands where I banished them there and they will dwell on own land their.
mais "Vive l’Eternel qui a fait monter, qui a ramené les descendants de la maison d’Israël du pays du Nord et de toutes les contrées où je les avais relégués, pour qu’ils demeurent dans leur patrie!"
9 Of the prophets it is broken heart my in inner being my they have become weak all bones my I have become like a person drunken and like a man [whom] it has passed over him wine because of Yahweh and because of [the] words of holiness his.
Au sujet des prophètes: mon coeur s’est brisé en moi, tous mes membres sont frémissants, je suis comme un homme ivre, comme quelqu’un maîtrisé par le vin, à cause de l’Eternel et de ses saintes paroles.
10 For adulterers it is full the land for because of a curse it has dried up the land they have become dry [the] pastures of [the] wilderness and it has become course [of life] their evil and strength their [is] not right.
Car le pays est rempli de gens adultères; car par suite des parjures, le pays est en deuil, les pâturages de la campagne sont desséchés; ils se précipitent vers le mal et usent leur force pour le mensonge.
11 For both prophet as well as priest they are polluted also in house my I have found wickedness their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Oui, même le prophète, même le prêtre sont infâmes; jusque dans ma maison, je constate leur perversité, dit l’Eternel.
12 Therefore it will become path their for them like slippery places in the darkness they will be pushed down and they will fall on it for I will bring on them calamity [the] year of punishment their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
C’Est pourquoi la voie qu’ils suivent deviendra pour eux comme un terrain glissant en pleines ténèbres; ils seront bousculés et y tomberont, quand je ferai arriver sur eux la catastrophe, l’année de leur châtiment, dit l’Eternel.
13 And among [the] prophets of Samaria I saw offensiveness they prophesied by Baal and they caused to err people my Israel.
Aussi chez les prophètes de Samarie, j’avais vu des choses écoeurantes; ils prophétisaient au nom de Baal et égaraient mon peuple Israël.
14 And among [the] prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible [thing] they have committed adultery and they have walked in falsehood and they have strengthened [the] hands of evil-doers to not they have turned away anyone from evil his they have become to me all of them like Sodom and inhabitants its like Gomorrah.
Mais chez les prophètes de Jérusalem j’ai remarqué des abominations: ils pratiquent l’adultère, vivent dans le mensonge, prêtent main-forte aux malfaiteurs, de façon que personne ne revienne de sa perversité. Tous, ils sont devenus à mes yeux comme gens de Sodome, et les habitants de Jérusalem comme gens de Gomorrhe.
15 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts on the prophets here I [am] about to make eat them wormwood and I will make drink them water of poison for from with [the] prophets of Jerusalem it has gone out wicked behavior to all the land.
C’Est pourquoi, ainsi parle l’Eternel-Cebaot au sujet des prophètes: Voici, je vais leur donner des plantes vénéneuses à manger et des eaux empoisonnées à boire, car c’est des prophètes de Jérusalem que la corruption s’est propagée dans tout le pays.
16 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts may not you listen to [the] words of the prophets who are prophesying to you [are] deluding they you [the] vision of own heart their they speak not from [the] mouth of Yahweh.
Voici ce que dit l’Eternel-Cebaot: N’Écoutez point les discours des prophètes qui vous adressent des prophéties; ils vous bercent de chimères, ils vous débitent des visions de leur invention, que l’Eternel n’a point inspirées.
17 [they are] saying Continually to [those who] despise me he says Yahweh peace it will belong to you and every [one who] walks in [the] stubbornness of own heart his they have said not it will come on you calamity.
Ils ne cessent de répéter à mes détracteurs: "L’Eternel a parlé; vous aurez la paix." Tous ceux qui suivent les penchants de leur coeur, ils leur disent: "Aucun malheur ne vous atteindra."
18 For who? has he stood in [the] council of Yahweh so he may see and he may hear word his who? has he paid attention to (word his *Q(K)*) and has he listened?
Qui donc parmi eux a assisté au conseil de l’Eternel, de manière à voir, de manière à entendre sa parole? Qui a pu tendre l’oreille à ses discours et les recueillir?
19 There! - [the] storm of Yahweh rage it has gone out and a storm whirling on [the] head of wicked [people] it will whirl about.
Voici, la tempête de l’Eternel éclate avec fureur, un ouragan se déchaîne, qui s’abattra sur la tête des coupables.
20 Not it will turn back [the] anger of Yahweh until has brought about he and until has carried out he [the] purposes of heart his at [the] end of the days you will understand it understanding.
La colère de l’Eternel ne cessera de sévir que quand il aura exécuté, accompli les desseins de son coeur; plus tard, vous en comprendrez le sens.
21 Not I sent the prophets and they they ran not I spoke to them and they they prophesied.
Je n’avais point donné de mission à ces prophètes, et ils se sont mis à courir! Je ne leur avait point adressé la parole, et ils ont prophétisé!
22 And if they had stood in council my so they may cause to hear words my people my and they will turn back them from way their wicked and from [the] wickedness of deeds their.
S’Ils avaient assisté à mon conseil, mais alors ils auraient fait entendre mes paroles à mon peuple, ils l’auraient détourné de sa mauvaise voie et de ses mauvaises actions.
23 ¿ A God from near [am] I [the] utterance of Yahweh and not a God from a distance.
Suis-je donc Dieu de près, dit l’Eternel, et non pas Dieu de loin?
24 Or? will he hide himself anyone in hiding places and I not I will see him [the] utterance of Yahweh ¿ not the heavens and the earth [am] I filling [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Quelqu’un peut-il se cacher dans un lieu occulte, sans que je le voie? dit l’Eternel. Est-ce que je ne remplis pas le ciel et la terre? dit l’Eternel.
25 I have heard [that] which they have said the prophets who prophesy in name my falsehood saying I have dreamed I have dreamed.
J’Entends bien ce que disent les prophètes qui prophétisent faussement en mon nom, à savoir: "J’Ai eu un songe, j’ai eu un songe!"
26 Until when? ¿ [is] there in [the] heart of the prophets [who] prophesy falsehood and [the] prophets of [the] deceitfulness of own heart their.
Jusques à quand en sera-t-il ainsi? Entre-t-il donc dans la pensée des prophètes, prophètes de mensonge, qui débitent les perfides inventions de leur coeur,
27 Who plan to make forget people my name my by dreams their which they recount each to neighbor his just as they forgot ancestors their name my for Baal.
entre-t-il dans leurs calculs de faire oublier mon nom à mon peuple, grâce à leurs songes qu’ils se content mutuellement, de même que leurs ancêtres ont oublié mon nom pour Baal?
28 The prophet whom [is] with him a dream let him recount [the] dream and whom word my [is] with him let him speak word my faithfulness what? [belongs] to the straw with the grain [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Que le prophète qui se targue d’un songe raconte ce songe! Mais que celui qui est favorisé de ma parole annonce fidèlement ma parole: que vient faire la paille avec le grain? dit l’Eternel.
29 ¿ Not thus [is] word my like fire [the] utterance of Yahweh and like a hammer [which] it shatters rock.
Est-ce que ma parole ne ressemble pas au feu, dit l’Eternel, et au marteau qui fait voler en éclats le rocher?
30 Therefore here I [am] on the prophets [the] utterance of Yahweh [who] steal words my each from with neighbor his.
Aussi vais-je prendre à partie, dit l’Eternel, les prophètes qui se dérobent les uns aux autres mes révélations.
31 Here I [am] on the prophets [the] utterance of Yahweh who take tongue their and they have uttered an utterance.
Je vais prendre à partie, dit l’Eternel, les prophètes qui font marcher leur langue et prononcent des oracles.
32 Here I [am] on [those who] prophesy dreams of falsehood [the] utterance of Yahweh and they have recounted them and they caused to err people my by falsehoods their and by recklessness their and I not I sent them and not I appointed them and certainly not they benefit the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Je vais prendre à partie, dit l’Eternel, les diseurs de songes trompeurs, qui les divulguent pour égarer mon peuple par leurs mensonges et leur verbiage frivole, alors que je ne leur ai donné ni mission ni ordre, et qu’ils ne peuvent rendre aucun service à ce peuple, dit l’Eternel.
33 And if it will ask you the people this or the prophet or a priest saying what? [is] [the] burden of Yahweh and you will say to them what? burden and I will abandon you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Que si ce, peuple, si prophètes ou prêtres t’interrogent en ces termes: "Quel est l’oracle de l’Eternel?" tu leur répondras ce qu’est l’oracle: "Je vais vous rejeter!" dit l’Eternel.
34 And the prophet and the priest and the people who he will say [the] burden of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on the person that and on house his.
Quant au prophète, au prêtre, à l’homme du peuple qui dira: "Oracle de l’Eternel", je le châtierai, cet individu, ainsi que sa maison.
35 Thus you will say each to neighbor his and each to brother his what? did he answer Yahweh and what? did he say Yahweh.
Voici comme vous vous exprimerez en parlant entre vous: "Quelle réponse a faite l’Eternel? Quelle est la parole prononcée par l’Eternel?"
36 And [the] burden of Yahweh not you will remember again for the burden it is for a person own word his and you change [the] words of God living Yahweh of hosts God our.
Mais le mot "oracle" de l’Eternel (Massa), vous n’en ferez plus mention; car la parole de l’Eternel communiquée à l’homme est bien un oracle (Massa), mais vous dénaturez les paroles du Dieu vivant, de l’Eternel-Cebaot, notre Dieu.
37 Thus you will say to the prophet what? did he answer you Yahweh and what? did he say Yahweh.
Voici donc ce que vous pourrez dire au prophète: "Quelle réponse t’a faite l’Eternel? Quelle est la parole prononcée par l’Eternel?"
38 And if [the] burden of Yahweh you will say therefore thus he says Yahweh because have spoken you the word this [the] burden of Yahweh and I sent to you saying not you must say [the] burden of Yahweh.
Mais si vous parlez de Massa de l’Eternel, assurément alors l’Eternel dira: "Puisque vous employez cette expression de Massa de l’Eternel, malgré cette défense que je vous ai fait adresser: Ne dites pas Massa de l’Eternel,
39 Therefore here [am] I and I will surely you lift up and I will abandon you and the city which I gave to you and to ancestors your from on face my.
voici, je vais vous repousser complètement, vous rejeter, vous et la ville que j’ai donnée à vous et à vos ancêtres, de devant ma face,
40 And I will put on you a reproach of perpetuity and shame of perpetuity which not it will be forgotten.
et je ferai peser sur vous un éternel déshonneur, un opprobre permanent et inoubliable.
