< Jeremiah 20 >

1 And he heard Pashhur [the] son of Immer the priest and he [was] an officer a chief in [the] house of Yahweh Jeremiah prophesying the words these.

2 And he struck Pashhur Jeremiah the prophet and he put him on the stock[s] which [was] at [the] gate of Benjamin upper which [was] in [the] house of Yahweh.
Pashur loh Tonghma Jeremiah te a taam tih BOEIPA im sang kah Benjamin vongka ah hloong a khoh thil.
3 And it was from [the] next day and he brought out Pashhur Jeremiah from the stock[s] and he said to him Jeremiah not Pashhur he has called Yahweh name your that except Terror from around.
A vuen a pha vaengah Pashur loh Jeremiah te hloong lamloh a hlah. Amah te Jeremiah loh, “BOEIPA loh nang ming he Pashur lam voel pawt tih Missabib lamkah Magor lat han sui coeng,” a ti nah.
4 For thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to make you into a terror to yourself and to all friends your and they will fall by [the] sword of enemies their and eyes your [will be] looking and all Judah I will give in [the] hand of [the] king of Babylon and he will take into exile them Babylon towards and he will strike down them with the sword.
Te dongah BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Kai loh nang he namah ham neh na lungnah boeih ham khaw rhihnah la kang khueh he. A thunkha rhoek kah cunghang neh na mik loh a hmuh nawn ah cungku uh ni. Judah pum he Babylon manghai kut ah ka tloeng vetih amih te Babylon la a poelyoe ni. Te vaengah amih te cunghang neh a ngawn ni.
5 And I will give all [the] wealth of the city this and all property its and every precious thing its and all [the] treasures of [the] kings of Judah I will give in [the] hand of enemies their and they will plunder them and they will take them and they will bring them Babylon towards.
He khopuei kah a khohrhang boeih neh a thaphu boeih, anih umponah boeih khaw ka paek pah ni. Judah manghai kah thakvoh boeih te a thunkha kut ah ka paek pah vetih a poelyoe pah ni. Amamih te a tuuk uh vetih Babylon la a khuen uh ni.
6 And you O Pashhur and all [those who] dwell of house your you will go in captivity and Babylon you will go and there you will die and there you will be buried you and all friends your whom you prophesied to them with falsehood.
Pashur namah neh na imkhui kah khosa boeih te tamna la na cet ni. Babylon na pha vaengah pahoi na duek vetih namah te pahoi n'up ni. Amih na lungnah boeih taengah na tonghma te khaw a hong ni.
7 You deceived me O Yahweh and I was deceived you prevailed over me and you prevailed I have become a laughing stock all the day all of it [is] mocking me.
BOEIPA aw, kai nan laem vanbangla n'laem coeng. Kai lakah na tanglue tih nan na coeng. Hnin takuem nueihbu la ka om tih a cungkuem dongah kai he n'tamdaeng coeng.
8 For as often as I speak I cry out violence and havoc I proclaim for it has become [the] word of Yahweh for me a reproach and derision all the day.
Ka thui vawptawp van bangla kuthlahnah te ka doek tih rhoelrhanah khaw ka khue. Te dongah BOEIPA ol he kai taengah khohnin yungah kokhahnah ham neh soehsalnah ham ha thoeng.
9 And I will say not I will remember him and not I will speak again in name his and it will become in heart my like a fire burning shut up in bones my and I will be weary to hold [it] in and not I will be able.
Amah poek boel saeh lamtah a ming neh koep ka thui boel eh ka ti. Tedae ka lungbuei ah hmai aka tak bangla om tih Ka rhuh khuiah khaw a cueh. Te dongah coeng voel pawt tih cangbam ham ka ngak coeng.
10 For I have heard [the] whispering of many [people] terror [is] from round about tell and let us tell about him every person of peace my [are] [the] watchers of stumbling my perhaps he will be deceived and we will prevail to him and we will take vengeance our from him.
Theetnah khaw muep ka yaak tih kaepkvai ah rhihnah la puen uh. Ka ngaimongnah hlanghing boeih khaw a taengah puen uh. Ka cungdonah aka dawn rhoek loh n'laem khaming. Te daengah ni amah te n'na uh vetih mamih kah tawnlohnah khaw anih soah n'khueh eh.
11 And Yahweh [is] with me like a warrior ruthless there-fore persecutors my they will stumble and not they will prevail they will be ashamed exceedingly for not they will succeed ignominy of perpetuity not it will be forgotten.

12 And O Yahweh of hosts [who] tests [the] righteous [who] sees kidneys and heart let me see vengeance your from them for to you I have made known case my.
Aka dueng te aka loepdak tih kuel neh lungbuei aka hmu caempuei BOEIPA aw ka tuituknah he nang taengah kam phoe coeng dongah amih sokah na tawnlohnah te ka hmuh bitni.
13 Sing to Yahweh praise Yahweh for he has delivered [the] life of [the] needy from [the] hand of evil-doers.
BOEIPA te hlai uh. Khodaeng kah hinglu he thaehuet kut lamloh a huul coeng dongah BOEIPA te thangthen uh.
14 [is] cursed The day when I was born on it [the] day when she bore me mother my may not it be blessed.
Te khohnin ah ka om te thae a phoei coeng. A nu loh kai n'cun khohnin te yoethen om boel saeh.
15 [be] cursed The person who he bore [the] news father my saying he has been born to you a son a male surely he made rejoice him.
A pa taengah a phong vaengah, “Camoe tongpa nang ham a sak te a kohoe hoe saeh,” aka ti hlang te khaw thaephoei thil.
16 And he will be the person that like the cities which he overthrew Yahweh and not he had compassion and he will hear a cry of distress in the morning and a shout of alarm at [the] time of noon.
Tekah hlang te BOEIPA loh a palet khopuei bangla om saeh lamtah kohlawt boel saeh, mincang ah a pang neh khothun tue ah a tamlung khaw ya saeh.
17 That not he killed me from [the] womb and she became for me mother my grave my and womb her [was] pregnant of perpetuity.
Bung khuiah kai n'duek sak pawh. Te dongah a nu he kai taengah ka phuel la poeh tih a bung te kumhal duela vawn.
18 Why? this from [the] womb did I come forth to see trouble and sorrow and they have come to an end in shame days my.
thakthaenah neh kothaenah hmuh ham he balae tih bung khui lamloh ka thoeng? Te dongah ka khohnin he yahpohnah nen nim a thok ve.
