Jeremiah 15
1 And he said Yahweh to me if he will stand Moses and Samuel before me not soul my [will be] to the people this send [them] away from on face my so they may go out.
Maar Jahweh zeide tot Mij: Al stonden Moses en Samuël voor mijn aanschijn, Ik bekommerde Mij niet om dit volk; jaag ze weg uit mijn ogen, ze moeten heen!
2 And it will be that they will say to you where? will we go out and you will say to them thus he says Yahweh [those] who [are] for death to death and [those] who [are] for the sword to the sword and [those] who [are] for the famine to the famine and [those] who [are] for captivity to captivity.
En als ze u vragen, waar zullen we heen; dan moet ge hun zeggen: Zo spreekt Jahweh! Wie voor de dood is bestemd: naar de dood; wie voor het zwaard: naar het zwaard; wie voor de honger: naar de honger; wie voor de ballingschap: naar de ballingschap!
3 And I will appoint over them four kinds [the] utterance of Yahweh the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and [the] bird[s] of the heavens and [the] animal[s] of the earth to devour and to destroy.
Vier machten laat Ik op hen los, is de godsspraak van Jahweh: Het zwaard om te moorden, de honden om weg te slepen, de vogels uit de lucht om te verslinden, de beesten op aarde om te vernielen!
4 And I will make them (into a terror *Q(K)*) for all [the] kingdoms of the earth on account of Manasseh [the] son of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah on [that] which he did in Jerusalem.
Ik maak ze ten afschrik voor alle koninkrijken der aarde, om wat Manasses, de zoon van Ezekias, en koning van Juda, in Jerusalem heeft gedaan.
5 For who? will he have compassion on you O Jerusalem and who? will he show sympathy to you and who? will he turn aside to ask to welfare of you.
Jerusalem, wie zal nog deernis met u hebben, Wie u beklagen; Wie maakt er een omweg, Om naar uw welstand te vragen?
6 You you abandoned me [the] utterance of Yahweh backwards you go and I have stretched out hand my on you and I have destroyed you I had wearied myself to relent.
Ge hebt Mij verworpen, spreekt Jahweh, Mij de rug toegekeerd. Daarom steek Ik mijn hand tegen u uit, om u te vernielen, Ik ben het zat, Mij nog te ontfermen.
7 And I have winnowed them with a winnowing scoop in [the] gates of the land I have made childless I have destroyed people my from ways their not they have turned away.
Ik ga ze wannen Voor de poorten van het land; Kinderloos maak Ik mijn volk, en richt het te gronde, Omdat ze zich niet hebben bekeerd.
8 They are numerous to me (widows its *Q(K)*) more than [the] sand of [the] seas I have brought to them on a mother of a young man a destroyer at noon I have made fall on her suddenly anguish and sudden terror.
Hun weduwen maak Ik talrijker nog Dan het zand van de zee; Over de moeders van hun jongens Breng Ik ontzetting op klaarlichte dag, En stort geheel onverwacht Angst en verschrikking over haar uit.
9 She has grown feeble [one who] bore seven [children] it has panted breath her (it went *Q(K)*) sun her while still by day she is ashamed and she is abashed and remnant their to the sword I will give before enemies their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Die zeven kinderen baarde, bezwijmt, En zinkt in onmacht neer; Haar zon gaat onder midden op de dag, In beschaming en schande. En wat er overblijft, geef Ik prijs aan het zwaard, Aan hun vijanden, is de godsspraak van Jahweh!
10 Woe! to me O mother my that you gave birth to me a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land not I have lent and not people have lent to me all of him [are] cursing me.
Wee mij, mijn moeder, dat ge mij hebt gebaard, Een man, met wien de hele wereld wil kijven en twisten; Ik ben niemands schuldeiser, ben niemand iets schuldig, En ze verwensen mij allen.
11 He said Yahweh if not (I will set free you *Q(K)*) for good if not - I will cause to plead with you in a time evil and in a time of distress the enemy.
Toch, Jahweh, heb ik U trouw gediend, Bij U voor mijn vijand ten beste gesproken In tijden van onheil en nood:
12 ¿ Will it break iron - iron from [the] north and bronze.
Maar kan men ijzer uit ‘t noorden en koper breken?
13 Wealth your and treasures your to plunder I will give not for price and on all sins your and in all territories your.
14 And I will make to pass enemies your in a land [which] not you have known for a fire it has been kindled in anger my towards you it will burn.
15 You you know O Yahweh remember me and visit me and avenge yourself for me from [those who] harass me may not to [the] length of anger your you take away me know bearing my on you reproach.
Gij weet het Jahweh! Wees mijner indachtig, Kom mij te hulp, en wreek mij op die mij vervolgen; Stort door uw lankmoedigheid mij niet in ‘t verderf, Gedenk, dat ik gehoond word om U!
16 They were found words your and I ate them and it became (word your *Q(K)*) to me a joy and [the] delight of heart my for it is called name your on me O Yahweh [the] God of hosts.
Zodra ik uw woorden ontving, heb ik ze verslonden, Uw woord was mij een vreugde en blijdschap des harten; Want uw Naam is over mij uitgeroepen, o Jahweh, God der heirscharen!
17 Not I sat in [the] assembly of merry makers and I rejoiced because of hand your alone I sat for indignation you filled me.
Nooit zat ik in vrolijke kringen, Nooit heb ik blijdschap gekend; Door ùwe hand zat ik eenzaam, Want Gij hebt mij met gramschap vervuld.
18 Why? is it pain my perpetuity and wound my incurable it has refused to be healed certainly you are to me like a deceitful thing waters [which] not they are reliable.
Waarom is er dan geen eind aan mijn smart, En schrijnt mijn wonde, ongeneeslijk? Waarom zijt Gij voor mij als een onbetrouwbare beek, Waar men nooit op water kan rekenen?
19 Therefore thus he says Yahweh if you will return and I will restore you before me you will stand and if you will bring forth [the] precious from [the] worthless like mouth my you will be they will return they to you and you not you must return to them.
Daarom spreekt Jahweh: Wanneer gij aan Mij u overgeeft, Dan geef Ik u weer, Dat ge voor mijn aanschijn moogt staan. En wanneer ge waardige woorden spreekt, niets minderwaardig, Dan moogt ge mijn mond zijn: Zij moeten zich richten naar u, Gij moet u niet richten naar hen!
20 And I will make you for the people this into a wall of bronze fortified and people will fight against you and not they will prevail to you for [will be] with you I to save you and to deliver you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Dan maak Ik u tegenover dit volk Tot een onneembare koperen muur; En wanneer zij tegen u strijden, Kunnen ze u niet overwinnen. Dan blijf Ik bij u, om u te helpen, Om u te redden, spreekt Jahweh;
21 And I will deliver you from [the] hand of wicked [people] and I will ransom you from [the] hand of ruthless [people].
Dan zal Ik u redden uit de hand van de bozen, U bevrijden uit de greep van uw beulen!
