James 4
1 From where [come] disputes and (from where *no*) quarrels among you? Surely from there, out of the passions of you those warring in the members of you?
Skądże są walki i zwady między wami? Izali nie stąd, to jest z lubości waszych, które walczą w członkach waszych?
2 You desire and not have; you kill and covet and not are able to obtain; You quarrel and wrangle; Not you have (now *k*) because not to ask you;
Pożądacie, a nie macie, zajrzycie i zawidzicie, a nie możecie dostać; wadzicie się i walczycie, wszakże nie otrzymujecie, przeto iż nie prosicie.
3 You ask and not receive, because wrongly you ask, that in the pleasures of you you may spend [it].
Prosicie, a nie bierzecie, przeto iż źle prosicie, abyście to na rozkosze wasze obracali.
4 (adulterers — and *K*) Adulteresses! Surely you know that the friendship with the world hostility with God is? Who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) therefore shall choose a friend to be of the world, an enemy of God is appointed.
Cudzołożnicy i cudzołożnice! nie wiecież, iż przyjaźń świata jest nieprzyjaźnią Bożą? Przetoż, ktobykolwiek chciał być przyjacielem tego świata, staje się nieprzyjacielem Bożym.
5 Or think you that in vain the Scripture speaks? With envy yearns the Spirit that (he settled *N(k)O*) in us,
Albo mniemacie, iż próżno Pismo mówi: Izali ku zazdrości pożąda duch, który w nas mieszka?
6 Greater however He gives grace; Therefore it says: God [the] proud opposes, to [the] humble however gives grace.
Owszem, hojniejszą daje łaskę; bo mówi: Bóg się pysznym sprzeciwia, ale pokornym łaskę daje.
7 do be subjected therefore to God. do resist (however *no*) the devil and he will flee from you,
Poddajcież się tedy Bogu, a dajcie odpór dyjabłu, a uciecze od was.
8 do draw near to God and He will draw near to you. do cleanse [your] hands, [you] sinners, and do purify hearts, [you] double-minded.
Przybliżcie się ku Bogu, a przybliży się ku wam. Ochędóżcie ręce grzesznicy i oczyście serca, którzyście umysłu dwoistego,
9 do be grieved and do mourn and do weep; The laughter of you to mourning (should be turned *N(k)O*) and the joy to gloom.
Bądźcie utrapieni i żałujcie, i płaczcie; śmiech wasz niech się obróci w żałość, a radość w smutek.
10 do be humbled in the presence of (the *ko*) Lord and He will exalt you.
Uniżajcie się przed obliczem Pańskiem, a wywyższy was.
11 Not do speak against one another, brothers; The [one] speaking against [his] brother (or *N(k)O*) judging the brother of him speaks against [the] Law and judges [the] Law; If however [the] Law you judge, not you are a doer of [the] Law but a judge.
Nie obmawiajcie jedni drugich, bracia! Kto obmawia brata i potępia brata swego, obmawia zakon i potępia zakon; a jeźli potępisz zakon, nie jesteś czynicielem zakonu, ale sędzią.
12 One there is Lawgiver (and Judge *NO*) who is being able to save and to destroy; You yourself (however *no*) who are (you who [are] judging *N(k)O*) the (neighbour? *N(K)O*)
Jeden jest zakonodawca, który może zbawić i zatracić. Ale ty ktoś jest, co potępiasz drugiego?
13 do come now you who [are] saying; Today (or *N(k)O*) tomorrow (we will go *N(k)O*) into such city and (will spend *N(k)O*) there a year (one *K*) and (will trade *N(k)O*) and (will make a profit; *N(k)O*)
Nuż teraz wy, co mówicie: Dziś albo jutro pójdziemy do tego miasta i zamieszkamy tam przez jeden rok, a będziemy kupczyć i zysk sobie przywiedziemy;
14 [you] who not you know what [is] on the next day [is] What [is] (for *ko*) the life of you! A vapor just (you are *N(K)(o)*) for a little [while] appearing then (and *k*) also vanishing;
(Którzy nie wiecie, co jutro będzie; bo cóż jest żywot wasz? Para zaiste jest, która się na mały czas pokazuje, a potem niszczeje.)
15 Instead [ought] to say you; If the Lord (shall wish *NK(o)*) both (we will live *N(k)O*) and (we will do *N(k)O*) this or that.
Zamiast tego, co byście mieli mówić: Będzieli Pan chciał, a będziemyli żywi, uczynimy to albo owo.
16 Now however you boast in the arrogance of you; All boasting such evil is.
Ale teraz chlubicie się w pysze waszej; wszelka chluba takowa zła jest.
17 To [him] knowing therefore good to do and not doing [it], sin to him it is.
Przetoż, kto umie dobrze czynić, a nie czyni, grzech ma.
