< James 3 >
1 Not many [of you] teachers do become brothers of mine, knowing that greater judgment we will receive.
LET there not be many teachers among you, my brethren, but know that a greater condemnation we incur.
2 In many ways for we stumble all; If anyone in what he says not does stumble, this one [is] a perfect man, able to bridle indeed all the body.
For (in) many we all offend. Every one who in word offendeth not, this is a perfect man, who is able to make subject also all his body.
3 (If *NO*) (now *N(K)(o)*) of the horses bits into the mouths we put (for *N(k)O*) to obey them us, even all the body of them we turn about.
For, behold, bridles into the mouth of horses we throw that we may make them submissive to us, and their whole body we turn.
4 Behold also the ships, so great being and by winds strong being driven, are turned about by a very small rudder where (ever *k*) the impulse [of the one] who is steering (decides. *N(k)O*)
Also the mighty ships, while the furious winds drive them, by a little wood are turned about to the region which the will of him who guideth doth contemplate.
5 Thus also the tongue a small member is and exceeding things it boasts. Behold (a great *N(k)O*) fire how great a forest it kindles;
So also the tongue is a small member, and uplifteth itself. A little fire also burneth many forests;
6 Also the tongue [is] a fire, the world of iniquity (thus *k*) The tongue is set among the members of us which is defiling all the body and setting on fire the course of nature and [itself] being set on fire by hell. (Geenna )
and the tongue is a fire, a world of sin, like a forest is the tongue itself among our members; it defileth all of our body, and burneth the course of our generations which run (forward) as a wheel, and kindleth also itself with fire. (Geenna )
7 All for kinds of beasts both and of birds, of creeping things both and things of the sea is subdued and he has been subdued by the race human;
For every nature of animals, and of birds, and reptiles of the sea, and of the dry land, have been subjected to the human nature;
8 the but tongue no [one] to subdue is able of men; ([it is] an unruly *N(k)O*) evil, full of poison deadly.
but the tongue no one can subdue; this is an evil not ordered, (and) full of the poison of death.
9 With it we bless the (Lord *N(K)O*) and Father and with it we curse men those according to [the] likeness of God having been made;
For by it we bless the Lord and the Father, and by it we curse men who in the likeness of Aloha were made;
10 Out of the same mouth proceed forth blessing and cursing. Not ought, brothers of Mine, these things so to be.
and from the same mouth go forth curses and blessings. My brethren, it is not fit that these should so be done.
11 surely not ever the spring out of the same opening pours forth [both] fresh and bitter?
Can it be that one fountain shall send forth waters sweet and bitter?
12 Surely not is able, brothers of mine, a fig tree olives to produce Or a vine figs? (thus *k*) (Nor *N(k)O*) (spring *K*) of salt (and *k*) fresh to produce water.
Or can the fig-tree, my brethren, make olives, or the vines figs? thus also salt waters cannot be made sweet.
13 Who [is] wise and understanding among you? he should show out of the good conduct the works of him in [the] humility of wisdom.
Who of you is wise and instructed? let him show his works in good conversations in meek wisdom.
14 If however jealousy bitter you have and self-interest in the heart of you, not do boast [of it] and do lie against the truth.
But if you have bitter envy among yourselves, or contention be in your hearts, be not inflated against the truth, nor lie;
15 Not is this the wisdom from above coming down, but [is] earthly unspiritual demonic.
because this wisdom from above descendeth not; but is earthly, from the reasonings of the soul, and from demons.
16 Where for jealousy and self-interest [exist], there [will be] disorder and every evil thing.
For where there are envy and contention, there also are tumult and every thing that is evil.
17 But the from above wisdom first indeed pure is, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of fruits good, impartial, (and *k*) sincere.
But the wisdom that is from above is pure, and full of peace, and meekness, and obedience, and full of mercies and good fruits, and is without division, and faces accepteth not.
18 [The] fruit moreover (*k*) of righteousness in peace is sown by those making peace.
But the fruits of righteousness in quietness are sown by them who make peace.
