Isaiah 7
1 And it was in [the] days of Ahaz [the] son of Jotham [the] son of Uzziah [the] king of Judah he went up Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel Jerusalem for battle on it and not he was able to engage in battle on it.
Il arriva, du temps d’Achaz, fils de Jotham, fils d’Ozias, roi de Juda, que Retsin, roi de Syrie, monta avec Pékach, fils de Remalia, roi d’Israël, contre Jérusalem, pour l’assiéger; mais il ne put l’assiéger.
2 And it was told to [the] house of David saying it has stood Aram with Ephraim and it shook heart his and [the] heart of people his as shake [the] trees of [the] forest from before a wind.
On vint dire à la maison de David: Les Syriens sont campés en Éphraïm. Et le cœur d’Achaz et le cœur de son peuple furent agités, comme les arbres de la forêt sont agités par le vent.
3 And he said Yahweh to Isaiah go out please to meet Ahaz you and Shear-jashub son your to [the] end of [the] conduit of the pool upper to [the] highway of [the] field of [the] washer.
Alors l’Éternel dit à Ésaïe: Va à la rencontre d’Achaz, toi et Schear-Jaschub, ton fils, vers l’extrémité de l’aqueduc de l’étang supérieur, sur la route du champ du foulon.
4 And you will say to him take care and show quietness may not you be afraid and heart your may not it be weak from [the] two [the] stumps of pieces of firewood smoking these by [the] heat of [the] anger of Rezin and Aram and [the] son of Remaliah.
Et dis-lui: Sois tranquille, ne crains rien, Et que ton cœur ne s’alarme pas, Devant ces deux bouts de tisons fumants, Devant la colère de Retsin et de la Syrie, et du fils de Remalia,
5 Because for it has planned on you Aram harm Ephraim and [the] son of Remaliah saying.
De ce que la Syrie médite du mal contre toi, De ce qu’Éphraïm et le fils de Remalia disent:
6 Let us go up on Judah and let us demolish it and let us break into it to ourselves and let us make king a king in [the] midst of it [the] son of Tabeel.
Montons contre Juda, assiégeons la ville, Et battons-la en brèche, Et proclamons-y pour roi le fils de Tabeel.
7 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh not it will stand and not it will happen.
Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Cela n’arrivera pas, cela n’aura pas lieu.
8 For [is] [the] head of Aram Damascus and [is] [the] head of Damascus Rezin and in yet sixty and five year[s] it will be shattered Ephraim from a people.
Car Damas est la tête de la Syrie, Et Retsin est la tête de Damas. (Encore soixante-cinq ans, Éphraïm ne sera plus un peuple.)
9 And [is] [the] head of Ephraim Samaria and [is] [the] head of Samaria [the] son of Remaliah if not you will believe for not you will be established.
La Samarie est la tête d’Éphraïm, Et le fils de Remalia est la tête de la Samarie. Si vous ne croyez pas, Vous ne subsisterez pas.
10 And he repeated Yahweh to speak to Ahaz saying.
L’Éternel parla de nouveau à Achaz, et lui dit:
11 Ask for yourself a sign from with Yahweh God your make deep [as] Sheol or make high upwards. (Sheol h7585)
Demande en ta faveur un signe à l’Éternel, ton Dieu; demande-le, soit dans les lieux bas, soit dans les lieux élevés. (Sheol h7585)
12 And he said Ahaz not I will ask and not I will put to [the] test Yahweh.
Achaz répondit: Je ne demanderai rien, je ne tenterai pas l’Éternel.
13 And he said hear please O house of David ¿ [too] little for you [is] to make weary people that you will make weary also God my.
Ésaïe dit alors: Écoutez donc, maison de David! Est-ce trop peu pour vous de lasser la patience des hommes, Que vous lassiez encore celle de mon Dieu?
14 Therefore he will give [the] Lord he to you a sign there! the young woman [will be] pregnant and [will] bear a son and she will call name his Immanu-el.
C’est pourquoi le Seigneur lui-même vous donnera un signe, Voici, la jeune fille deviendra enceinte, elle enfantera un fils, Et elle lui donnera le nom d’Emmanuel.
15 Curd and honey he will eat to knowing his to reject the evil and to choose the good.
Il mangera de la crème et du miel, Jusqu’à ce qu’il sache rejeter le mal et choisir le bien.
16 For before he will know the lad to reject the evil and to choose the good it will be forsaken the land which you [are] feeling dread of [the] two kings its.
Mais avant que l’enfant sache rejeter le mal et choisir le bien, Le pays dont tu crains les deux rois sera abandonné.
17 He will bring Yahweh on you and on people your and on [the] house of father your days which not they have come from [the] day departed Ephraim from with Judah [the] king of Assyria.
L’Éternel fera venir sur toi, Sur ton peuple et sur la maison de ton père, Des jours tels qu’il n’y en a point eu Depuis le jour où Éphraïm s’est séparé de Juda (Le roi d’Assyrie).
18 And it will be - in the day that he will whistle Yahweh for the fly which [is] at [the] end of [the] canals of Egypt and for the bee which [is] in [the] land of Assyria.
En ce jour-là, l’Éternel sifflera les mouches Qui sont à l’extrémité des canaux de l’Égypte, Et les abeilles qui sont au pays d’Assyrie;
19 And they will come and they will settle all of them in [the] wadis of the cliffs and in [the] clefts of the rocks and on all the thornbushes and in all the watering-places.
Elles viendront, et se poseront toutes dans les vallons désolés, Et dans les fentes des rochers, Sur tous les buissons, Et sur tous les pâturages.
20 In the day that he will shave [the] Lord with a razor hired on [the] other sides [the] River with [the] king of Assyria the head and [the] hair of the feet and also the beard it will sweep away.
En ce jour-là, le Seigneur rasera, avec un rasoir pris à louage Au-delà du fleuve, Avec le roi d’Assyrie, La tête et le poil des pieds; Il enlèvera aussi la barbe.
21 And it will be in the day that he will preserve alive a person a heifer of [the] herd and two sheep.
En ce jour-là, Chacun entretiendra une jeune vache et deux brebis;
22 And it will be from [the] abundance of producing of milk he will eat curd for curd and honey he will eat every [one who] remains in [the] midst of the land.
Et il y aura une telle abondance de lait Qu’on mangera de la crème, Car c’est de crème et de miel que se nourriront Tous ceux qui seront restés dans le pays.
23 And it will be in the day that it will be every place where it was there a thousand vine[s] for a thousand silver the thorn[s] and the> bush[es] it will become.
En ce jour-là, Tout lieu qui contiendra mille ceps de vigne, Valant mille sicles d’argent, Sera livré aux ronces et aux épines:
24 With arrows and with bow anyone will go there for thorn[s] and bush[es] it will be all the land.
On y entrera avec les flèches et avec l’arc, Car tout le pays ne sera que ronces et épines.
25 And all the hills which with the hoe they were hoed! not you will go there fear of thorn[s] and bush[es] and it will become pastureland of ox[en] and a trampling place of sheep.
Et toutes les montagnes que l’on cultivait avec la bêche Ne seront plus fréquentées, par crainte des ronces et des épines: On y lâchera le bœuf, et la brebis en foulera le sol.
