Isaiah 56
1 Thus he says Yahweh keep justice and do righteousness for [is] near salvation my to come and righteousness my to be revealed.
Zo spreekt Jahweh: Onderhoudt het recht, En beoefent de gerechtigheid: Want mijn heil is nabij, Mijn gerechtigheid wordt spoedig geopenbaard.
2 How blessed! [is the] person [who] he does this and [the] child of humankind [who] he takes hold on it [who] keeps [the] sabbath from profaning it and [who] keeps hand his from doing any evil.
Gelukkig de mens, die er naar handelt, Het mensenkind, dat er aan hecht; De sabbat houdt, en niet schendt, Zijn hand bewaart van allerlei kwaad!
3 And may not he say [the] son of foreignness who has joined himself to Yahweh saying certainly he will separate me Yahweh from with people his and may not he say the eunuch here! I [am] a tree dry.
Laat dan de vreemde, die zich aansloot bij Jahweh, niet zeggen: Heel zeker snijdt Jahweh mij af van zijn volk; Laat de eunuch ook niet zeggen: Zie, ik ben maar een dorre boom!
4 For thus - he says Yahweh to the eunuchs who they keep sabbaths my and they choose [that] which I desire and [they are] keeping hold on covenant my.
Want zo spreekt Jahweh tot de eunuchen: Wie mijn sabbat onderhouden, En verkiezen wat Mij behaagt, Getrouw blijven aan mijn Verbond:
5 And I will give to them in house my and in walls my a monument and a name good more than sons and more than daughters a name of perpetuity I will give to him which not it will be cut off.
Hun geef Ik een gedenkzuil in mijn huis en binnen mijn muren, Een naam, veel beter dan zonen en dochters: Ik geef hun een eeuwige naam, Die nooit zal vergaan!
6 And [the] sons of foreignness who join themselves to Yahweh to serve him and to love [the] name of Yahweh to become of him servants every [one who] keeps [the] sabbath from profaning it and [those who] keep hold on covenant my.
En tot de vreemden, Die zich aansloten bij Jahweh, om Hem te dienen, Jahweh’s Naam te beminnen, En zijn dienaars te zijn: Wie de sabbat houden, niet schenden, En trouw blijven aan mijn Verbond:
7 And I will bring them to [the] mountain of holiness my and I will make rejoice them in [the] house of prayer my burnt offerings their and sacrifices their [will be] for acceptance on altar my for house my a house of prayer it will be called for all the peoples.
Hen zal Ik brengen naar mijn heilige berg, Ze vreugde doen smaken in mijn huis van gebed. Hun brand- en slachtoffers Zullen welkom zijn op mijn altaar; Waarachtig, mijn huis zal worden genoemd: Een huis van gebed voor àlle volken.
8 [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh [who] gathers [the] banished [ones] of Israel still I will gather to it to gathered [ones] its.
Zo spreekt Jahweh, mijn Heer, Die de verstrooiden van Israël verzamelt: Bij hen, die al bijeen zijn gebracht, Voeg Ik nog anderen!
9 O every animal of [the] field come to devour O every animal in the forest.
Wilde beesten, komt allen verslinden, Met al de dieren in het woud:
10 (Watchmen its *Q(K)*) [are] blind all of them not they know all of them [are] dogs dumb not they are able to bark [they] dream [they] lie down [they] love to slumber.
Mijn wachters zijn allemaal blind, Ze letten niet op. Het zijn allemaal stomme honden, Die niet eens kunnen blaffen; Dromerig liggen ze neer, En slapen maar liefst.
11 And the dogs [are] mighty of appetite not they know satiety and they [are] shepherds not they know to understand all of them to own way their they have turned everyone to own unjust gain his from end his.
Vratige, nooit verzadigde honden, Dat zijn de leiders, die achteloos zijn, Die hun eigen weg zoeken, allemaal, Hun eigen belang, tot den laatste toe.
12 Come let me take wine and let us drink strong drink and it will be like this day tomorrow great abundance exceedingly.
"Komt, we moeten wijn gaan halen, En ons bedrinken: Morgen is het weer als vandaag, Nog veel beter!"
