Isaiah 54
1 Shout for joy O barren [woman] [who] not she has given birth break forth a shout of joy and cry aloud O [one who] not she has been in labor for [are] many [the] children of a desolate [woman] more than [the] children of a married [woman] he says Yahweh.
Réjouis-toi, femme stérile qui n’as point enfanté! Fais éclater ton allégresse et chante, toi qui n’as pas été en mal d’enfant! Car plus nombreux seront les enfants de la femme délaissée que de la femme mariée, a dit l’Eternel.
2 Enlarge - [the] place of tent your and [the] tent curtains of dwellings your may people stretch out may not you refrain make long tent cords your and tent pegs your make strong.
Elargis l’emplacement de ta tente, qu’on déploie les tentures de ta demeure, n’y épargne rien! Allonge tes cordes, fixe solidement tes chevilles!
3 For right and left you will spread out and offspring your nations he will take possession of and cities desolated they will cause to be inhabited.
Car de droite et de gauche tu déborderas, et tes enfants recueilleront l’héritage des nations, peupleront des villes devenues solitaires.
4 May not you be afraid for not you will be put to shame and may not you be ashamed for not you will display shame for [the] shame of youth your you will forget and [the] reproach of widowhood your not you will remember again.
Ne crains pas, car tu ne seras plus humiliée; ne sois pas confuse, car tu ne subiras plus d’outrage; car la honte de ta jeunesse, tu l’oublieras, le déshonneur de ton veuvage, tu ne t’en souviendras plus.
5 That husband your [is] maker your [is] Yahweh of hosts name his and [is] redeemer your [the] holy [one] of Israel [the] God of all the earth he is called.
Oui, ton époux ce sera ton Créateur, qui a nom l’Eternel-Cebaot, ton sauveur sera le Saint d’Israël, qui s’appelle le Dieu de toute la terre.
6 For like a wife abandoned and grieved of spirit he will call you Yahweh and a wife of youth if she is rejected he says God your.
Car comme une femme abandonnée et au cœur affligé, l’Eternel t’a rappelée; la compagne de la jeunesse peut-elle être un objet de dédain? Ainsi parle le Seigneur.
7 For a moment small I abandoned you and in compassion great I will gather you.
Un court instant je t’ai délaissée, et avec une grande tendresse je veux te recueillir.
8 In a flood of wrath I hid face my a moment from you and in covenant loyalty of perpetuity I will have compassion on you he says redeemer your Yahweh.
Dans un transport de colère je t’ai, un instant, dérobé ma face; désormais je t’aimerai d’une affection sans bornes, dit ton libérateur, l’Eternel.
9 For [is] [the] water of Noah this to me which I swore from passing [the] waters of Noah again over the earth so I swear from being angry towards you and from rebuking you.
Certes, je ferai en cela comme pour les eaux de Noé: de même que j’ai juré que le déluge de Noé ne désolerait plus la terre, ainsi je jure de ne plus m’irriter ni diriger des menaces contre toi.
10 That the mountains they will be removed and the hills they will shake and covenant loyalty my from with you not it will be removed and [the] covenant of peace my not it will shake he says [one who] has compassion on you Yahweh.
Que les montagnes chancellent, que les collines s’ébranlent, ma tendresse pour toi ne chancellera pas, ni mon alliance de paix ne sera ébranlée, dit Celui qui t’aime, l’Eternel!
11 O afflicted [one] it is storm tossed not it has been comforted here! I [am] about to set in antimony stones your and I will refound you with sapphires.
O infortunée, battue par la tempête, privée de consolation! Vois, je cimenterai tes pierres avec le stuc, et je te bâtirai sur le saphir.
12 And I will make ruby battlements your and gates your stones of beryl and all border your stones of delight.
Je te construirai des créneaux en pur cristal, des portes en escarboucles, et toutes tes barrières seront en pierres précieuses.
13 And all children your [will be] taught of Yahweh and [will be] great [the] peace of children your.
Tous tes enfants seront les disciples de l’Eternel; grande sera la concorde de tes enfants.
14 In righteousness you will be established be distant from oppression for not you will be afraid and from terror for not it will draw near to you.
Tu seras affermie par la justice: bannis toute idée d’oppression, car tu n’auras rien à craindre; de terreur, car tu seras garantie contre elle.
15 There! certainly anyone will quarrel not from me whoever [is] quarreling with you on you he will fall.
Que si l’on se mettait contre toi, ce serait sans mon aveu; quiconque se mettra contre toi succombera sur ton sol.
16 (Here! *Q(K)*) I I created a craftsman [who] blows on a fire of charcoal and [who] produces a weapon for work its and I I created a destroyer to ruin.
Certes, c’est moi qui ai créé le forgeron, lequel attise la braise ardente et façonne l’instrument pour l’usage auquel il est destiné; moi aussi j’ai créé le destructeur qui cause des dégâts.
17 Any weapon [which] it will be formed on you not it will succeed and every tongue [which] it will arise with you to judgment you will condemn as guilty this [is] [the] inheritance of [the] servants of Yahweh and righteousness their from with me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Tout instrument forgé contre toi sera impuissant, toute langue qui se dressera contre toi pour t’accuser sera convaincue d’injustice; tel est le partage des serviteurs de l’Eternel, et l’arrêt équitable qu’ils obtiennent de moi, dit l’Eternel.
