Isaiah 51
1 Listen to me O [those who] pursue righteousness [those who] seek Yahweh look to [the] rock [which] you were dug and to [the] excavation of [the] pit [which] you were dug out.
Escúchenme, los que siguen la justicia y adoran al Señor. Piensen en la roca de la que fueron cortados, y en la cantera de la que fueron cincelados.
2 Look to Abraham ancestor your and to Sarah [who] she gave birth to you if one [person] I called him and I blessed him and I multiplied him.
Miren a Abraham, su padre, y a Sara, que los dio a luz. Cuando lo llamé, era un solo hombre, pero luego lo bendije y tuvo muchos descendientes.
3 For he will comfort Yahweh Zion he will comfort all waste places its and he made wilderness its like Eden and desert plain its like [the] garden of Yahweh joy and gladness it will be found in it thanksgiving and [the] sound of music.
El Señor cuidará de Sión y se compadecerá de todos sus lugares arruinados. Hará que su desierto sea como el Edén, y sus zonas desérticas como el jardín del Señor. La gente allí tendrá alegría y felicidad, dando gracias y cantando dulces canciones.
4 Pay attention to me O people my and O nation my to me give ear for law from with me it will go out and justice my a light of peoples I will make suddenly.
Presta atención a mí, pueblo mío; escúchame, nación mía: Enviaré mi ley, y mi justicia será una luz para las naciones.
5 [is] near Righteousness my it has gone out salvation my and arms my peoples they will judge to me islands they will wait and to arm my they will hope!
Pronto llegará mi gobierno de justicia. Viene mi salvación. Mi poder traerá el juicio a las naciones. Las tierras lejanas me esperan a mí y a mi poder.
6 Lift up to the heavens eyes your and look to the earth beneath for [the] heavens like smoke they will be dispersed and the earth like garment it will wear out and inhabitants its like gnat[s] they will die! and salvation my for ever it will be and righteousness my not it will be broken.
Mira a los cielos y mira a la tierra de abajo. Los cielos desaparecerán como el humo, la tierra se desgastará como la ropa vieja. Los pueblos que la habitan morirán como moscas, pero mi salvación durará para siempre, y mi camino de bondad y de derecho nunca será destruido.
7 Listen to me O [those who] know righteousness a people [which] law my [is] in heart their may not you fear [the] reproach of humankind and from reviling words their may not you be dismayed.
Escúchame, tú que sabes lo que es correcto y que realmente has aceptado mis enseñanzas. No tengan miedo de los insultos de la gente -sólo son humanos- ni se asusten por su lenguaje abusivo.
8 For like garment it will eat them moth and like wool it will eat them clothes-moth and righteousness my for ever it will be and salvation my to a generation of generations.
Las polillas se los comerán como si fueran ropa; los insectos los masticarán como si fueran lana. Pero mi bondad durará para siempre, mi salvación perdurará por todas las generaciones.
9 Awake awake put on strength O arm of Yahweh awake like days of antiquity generations of antiquiti ¿ not [are] you she who cut in pieces Rahab [who] pierced [the] sea monster.
¡Por favor, despierta, despierta! ¡Usa tu fuerza, poderoso Señor! Actúa como en los viejos tiempos, en las generaciones anteriores. ¿No fuiste tú quien cortó a Rahab en pedazos, ¿quién mató a ese monstruo marino?
10 ¿ Not [are] you she who dried up [the] sea [the] water of [the] deep great who made [the] depths of [the] sea a way to pass over redeemed [people].
¿No fuiste tú quien secó el mar, abriendo un camino a través de las aguas profundas para que los redimidos pudieran cruzar?
11 And [the] [people] ransomed of Yahweh they will return! and they will come Zion with a shout of joy and gladness of perpetuity [will be] on head their joy and gladness they will overtake [them]! they will flee sorrow and sighing.
Los que el Señor ha liberado volverán cantando al entrar en Jerusalén, llevando coronas de alegría eterna. Les invade el agradecimiento y la alegría; la pena y la tristeza simplemente desaparecen.
12 I I [am] he [who] comforts you who? [are] you and you have been afraid from a person [who] he dies and from a child of humankind [who] grass he is made.
Soy yo, sí, el que te consuela. ¿Por qué has de temer a los mortales que mueren como la hierba?
13 And you have forgotten Yahweh [who] made you [who] stretched out [the] heavens and [who] founded [the] earth and you have been in dread continually all the day of [the] anger of the oppressor when he has prepared to destroy and where? [is] [the] anger of the oppressor.
¡Te has olvidado del Señor, tu Hacedor, que extendió los cielos y que puso los cimientos de la tierra! Por eso tiemblas de miedo todo el día, porque te amenaza la ira de los que te oprimen, queriendo destruirte. Pero, ¿dónde están ahora tus opresores y su ira?
14 He will hasten [one who] stoops to be let loose and not he will die to the pit and not he will lack food his.
Los prisioneros que están postrados pronto serán liberados. No van a morir; no seguirán pasando hambre.
15 And I [am] Yahweh God your [who] stirs up the sea and they roared waves its [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
Porque yo soy el Señor, tu Dios, que agita el mar para que rujan sus olas. El Señor Todopoderoso es su nombre.
16 And I have put words my in mouth your and with [the] shadow of hand my I have covered you to plant [the] heavens and to found [the] earth and to say to Zion [are] people my you.
Yo te he dicho lo que tienes que decir, y te he protegido con mi mano. Yo creé los cielos y fundé la tierra, y le dije a Sión: Tú eres mi pueblo.
17 Rouse yourself rouse yourself arise O Jerusalem who you have drunk from [the] hand of Yahweh [the] cup of anger his [the] bowl of [the] cup of staggering you have drunk you have drained.
¡Despierta, despierta! ¡Levántate, Jerusalén! Has bebido de la copa de la ira del Señor que te entregó. La has apurado hasta el fondo de la copa, la bebida que hace tambalear a la gente.
18 There not [is one who] leads her of all [the] children [whom] she has borne and there not [is one who] takes hold on hand her from all [the] children [whom] she has brought up.
De todos tus hijos que tuviste, no queda ninguno que te guíe. De todos los hijos que criaste, no hay ninguno que te lleve de la mano.
19 Two [things] they [have] happened to you who? does he show sympathy to you the devastation and the destruction and the famine and the sword who? do I comfort you.
Dos tragedias te han golpeado: la devastación causada por el hambre y la destrucción causada por la guerra. ¿Quién va a simpatizar contigo? ¿Quién te va a consolar?
20 Children your they have become faint they have lain down at [the] head of all [the] streets like an antelope of a net which [are] full [the] anger of Yahweh [the] rebuke of God your.
Tus hijos se han derrumbado, tirados en todas las calles como antílopes atrapados en una trampa. Han experimentado toda la ira del Señor, la condena de vuestro Dios.
21 Therefore hear please this O afflicted [one] and O drunken [one] and not from wine.
Así que escuchen esto, pobres, sentados allí en estado de embriaguez, pero no por haber bebido vino.
22 Thus he says lord your Yahweh and God your [who] he conducts a case for people his here! I have taken from hand your [the] cup of staggering [the] bowl of [the] cup of anger my not you will repeat to drink it again.
Esto es lo que dice tu Señor, tu Dios, que defiende la causa de su pueblo: Mira, te he quitado la copa que te hacía tambalear. Nunca más tendrás que beber de esa copa, la copa de mi ira.
23 And I will put it in [the] hand of [those who] torment you who they said to self your lie down so let us pass over [you] and you made like the ground back your and like the street for [those who] pass over.
En cambio, daré esa copa a quienes los atormentaban, a los que les decían: Túmbense boca abajo para que podamos pasarles por encima. Tuvieron que poner sus espaldas como el suelo, como una calle por la cual transitar.
