Isaiah 51
1 Listen to me O [those who] pursue righteousness [those who] seek Yahweh look to [the] rock [which] you were dug and to [the] excavation of [the] pit [which] you were dug out.
Ecoutez-moi, vous qui poursuivez la justice, vous qui recherchez l’Eternel! Jetez les yeux sur le rocher d’où vous fûtes taillés, sur le puits de carrière d’où vous fûtes extraits.
2 Look to Abraham ancestor your and to Sarah [who] she gave birth to you if one [person] I called him and I blessed him and I multiplied him.
Considérez Abraham, votre père, Sara, qui vous a enfantés; lui seul je l’ai appelé, je l’ai béni et multiplié.
3 For he will comfort Yahweh Zion he will comfort all waste places its and he made wilderness its like Eden and desert plain its like [the] garden of Yahweh joy and gladness it will be found in it thanksgiving and [the] sound of music.
Ainsi l’Eternel a consolé Sion, a consolé toutes ses ruines; il a transformé son désert en Eden, sa solitude en jardin divin. Dans son sein régneront la joie et l’allégresse, les actions de grâces et la voix des cantiques.
4 Pay attention to me O people my and O nation my to me give ear for law from with me it will go out and justice my a light of peoples I will make suddenly.
Ecoutez-moi, vous qui êtes mon peuple, prêtez-moi l’oreille, vous qui formez ma nation! Car l’enseignement émane de moi, et j’établis la justice pour éclairer les nations.
5 [is] near Righteousness my it has gone out salvation my and arms my peoples they will judge to me islands they will wait and to arm my they will hope!
Elle est proche, ma justice, mon salut va éclore, et mes bras statuer sur les peuples; en moi les îles espèrent, comptant sur ma puissance.
6 Lift up to the heavens eyes your and look to the earth beneath for [the] heavens like smoke they will be dispersed and the earth like garment it will wear out and inhabitants its like gnat[s] they will die! and salvation my for ever it will be and righteousness my not it will be broken.
Levez vos regards vers les cieux et contemplez la terre en bas! Car les cieux s’évanouissent comme la fumée, la terre s’en va comme un vêtement usé, et ses habitants meurent comme des insectes. Mais mon salut demeure éternellement et ma justice ne connaît pas de défaillance.
7 Listen to me O [those who] know righteousness a people [which] law my [is] in heart their may not you fear [the] reproach of humankind and from reviling words their may not you be dismayed.
Ecoutez-moi, vous qui connaissez la justice, peuple qui portes ma loi dans ton cœur! Ne craignez pas les insultes des hommes et ne soyez point effrayés de leurs outrages;
8 For like garment it will eat them moth and like wool it will eat them clothes-moth and righteousness my for ever it will be and salvation my to a generation of generations.
car ils seront comme un vêtement que mangent les mites, comme la laine que dévore la teigne, tandis que ma justice dure à jamais et mon salut d’âge en âge.
9 Awake awake put on strength O arm of Yahweh awake like days of antiquity generations of antiquiti ¿ not [are] you she who cut in pieces Rahab [who] pierced [the] sea monster.
Réveille-toi, réveille-toi, revêts-toi de force, ô bras du Seigneur! Réveille-toi comme aux jours d’autrefois, dans les siècles antiques! N’Est-ce pas toi qui taillas en pièces Rahab, qui frappas à mort le monstre?
10 ¿ Not [are] you she who dried up [the] sea [the] water of [the] deep great who made [the] depths of [the] sea a way to pass over redeemed [people].
N’Est-ce pas toi qui desséchas la mer, les eaux du vaste gouffre, qui traças dans les flots profonds une route pour le passage des affranchis?
11 And [the] [people] ransomed of Yahweh they will return! and they will come Zion with a shout of joy and gladness of perpetuity [will be] on head their joy and gladness they will overtake [them]! they will flee sorrow and sighing.
Oui, les rachetés du Seigneur reviendront; ils rentreront à Sion avec des chants de triomphe, une joie perpétuelle couronnant leur tête. Joie et allégresse seront leur partage, adieu douleur et soupirs!
12 I I [am] he [who] comforts you who? [are] you and you have been afraid from a person [who] he dies and from a child of humankind [who] grass he is made.
C’Est moi, c’est moi qui vous console! Qui es-tu, toi qui as peur d’hommes périssables, des fils d’Adam qui tout à l’heure seront de l’herbe?
13 And you have forgotten Yahweh [who] made you [who] stretched out [the] heavens and [who] founded [the] earth and you have been in dread continually all the day of [the] anger of the oppressor when he has prepared to destroy and where? [is] [the] anger of the oppressor.
Oubliant l’Eternel, qui t’a créé, qui a étendu les cieux et fondé la terre, tu trembles sans cesse, tous les jours, devant la colère du tyran qui médite ta perte; mais où donc est maintenant la colère du tyran?
14 He will hasten [one who] stoops to be let loose and not he will die to the pit and not he will lack food his.
Rapidement le captif verra tomber ses chaînes; il ne mourra pas dans son cachot et le pain ne lui fera pas défaut.
15 And I [am] Yahweh God your [who] stirs up the sea and they roared waves its [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
Car je suis l’Eternel, ton Dieu, Celui qui dompte la mer quand ses flots se soulèvent, et qui se nomme l’Eternel-Cebaot.
16 And I have put words my in mouth your and with [the] shadow of hand my I have covered you to plant [the] heavens and to found [the] earth and to say to Zion [are] people my you.
J’Ai déposé mes paroles dans ta bouche, et je t’ai abrité à l’ombre de ma main, voulant établir de nouveaux cieux et réédifier la terre, et dire à Sion: "Tu es mon peuple!"
17 Rouse yourself rouse yourself arise O Jerusalem who you have drunk from [the] hand of Yahweh [the] cup of anger his [the] bowl of [the] cup of staggering you have drunk you have drained.
Réveille-toi, réveille-toi! Debout, Jérusalem! Tu as été abreuvée, par la main du Seigneur, du calice de sa colère; la lie de la coupe du vertige, tu l’as bue, tu l’as épuisée.
18 There not [is one who] leads her of all [the] children [whom] she has borne and there not [is one who] takes hold on hand her from all [the] children [whom] she has brought up.
Et pas un ne la soutient de tous les fils qu’elle a enfantés! Pas un ne saisit sa main de tous les enfants qu’elle a élevés!
19 Two [things] they [have] happened to you who? does he show sympathy to you the devastation and the destruction and the famine and the sword who? do I comfort you.
Deux coups t’ont frappée, nul ne t’a plainte: la dévastation et la ruine, la famine et le glaive; à qui donnerais-je mission de te consoler?
20 Children your they have become faint they have lain down at [the] head of all [the] streets like an antelope of a net which [are] full [the] anger of Yahweh [the] rebuke of God your.
Tes enfants, défaillants, gisent au carrefour de toutes les rues comme le buffle pris au piège, étourdis qu’ils sont par la colère de l’Eternel, par l’animadversion de ton Dieu.
21 Therefore hear please this O afflicted [one] and O drunken [one] and not from wine.
Or donc, écoute ceci, infortunée, toi qui es ivre, mais non de vin.
22 Thus he says lord your Yahweh and God your [who] he conducts a case for people his here! I have taken from hand your [the] cup of staggering [the] bowl of [the] cup of anger my not you will repeat to drink it again.
Ainsi parle ton Maître, l’Eternel; ton Dieu, le champion de ton peuple: "Vois, je retire de ta main le calice du vertige; la lie de la coupe de ma colère, tu ne la boiras plus.
23 And I will put it in [the] hand of [those who] torment you who they said to self your lie down so let us pass over [you] and you made like the ground back your and like the street for [those who] pass over.
Je la mettrai dans la main de ceux qui t’ont contristée, de ceux qui, s’adressant à ta personne, te disaient: "Couche-toi à terre, que nous passions sur toi!" Et tu faisais de ton dos comme un sol qu’on foule, comme une rue pour les passants.
