Isaiah 5
1 Let me sing please to beloved [one] my a song of beloved my of vineyard his a vineyard it belonged to beloved [one] my on a horn of a son of oil.
Je vais chanter pour mon bien-aimé le chant de mon bien-aimé au sujet de sa vigne. Mon bien-aimé avait une vigne, sur un coteau fertile.
2 And he dug it and he cleared of stones it and he planted it a choice vine and he built a tower in [the] middle of it and also a wine-vat he dug out in it and he waited to produce grapes and it produced wild grapes.
Il en remua le sol, il en ôta les pierres, il la planta de ceps exquis. Il bâtit une tour au milieu, et il y creusa aussi un pressoir. Il attendait qu’elle donnât des raisins, mais elle donna du verjus. —
3 And therefore O inhabitant[s] of Jerusalem and everyone of Judah judge please between me and between vineyard my.
« Et maintenant, habitants de Jérusalem et hommes de Juda, jugez, je vous prie, entre moi et entre ma vigne!
4 What? [is] to do still for vineyard my and not I have done for it why? did I wait to produce grapes and did it produce wild grapes.
Qu’y avait-il à faire de plus à ma vigne, que je n’aie pas fait pour elle? Pourquoi, ai-je attendu qu’elle donnât des raisins; et n’a-t-elle donné que du verjus?
5 And therefore let me make know please you [that] which I [am] about to do to vineyard my I will remove hedge its and it will become grazing I will break down wall its and it will become a trampling place.
« Et maintenant, je vous ferai connaître ce que je vais faire à ma vigne: j’arracherai sa haie, et elle sera broutée; j’abattrai sa clôture, et elle sera foulée aux pieds.
6 And I will make it a desolation not it will be pruned and not it will be hoed and it will grow up thorn[s] and bush[es] and to the clouds I will command from raining on it rain.
J’en ferai un désert; et elle ne sera plus taillée, ni cultivée; les ronces et les épines y croîtront, et je commanderai aux nuées de ne plus laisser tomber la pluie sur elle. » —
7 For [the] vineyard of Yahweh of hosts [is] [the] house of Israel and everyone of Judah [is] [the] plantation of delight his and he waited for justice and there! bloodshed for righteousness and there! an outcry.
Car la vigne de Yahweh des armées, c’est la maison d’Israël, et les hommes de Juda sont le plant qu’il chérissait; il en attendait la droiture, voici du sang versé; la justice, et voici le cri de détresse.
8 Woe to! [those who] make touch a house a house a field on a field they bring near until there not [is] room and you are made to dwell to alone you in [the] midst of the land.
Malheur à ceux qui ajoutent maison à maison, qui joignent champ à champ, jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus d’espace, et qu’ils habitent seuls au milieu du pays!
9 In ears my Yahweh of hosts if not houses many a waste they will become great [houses] and good [houses] from not inhabitant.
Yahweh des armées a dit cette parole à mes oreilles: Oui, ces nombreuses maisons seront désertes; grandes et belles, elles n’auront plus d’habitants.
10 For ten acres of vineyard they will produce a bath one and seed of a homer it will produce an ephah.
Car dix arpents de vignes ne produiront qu’un bath, un homer de semence ne produira qu’un épha.
11 Woe to! [those who] rise early in the morning strong drink they pursue [those who] delay in the twilight wine it inflames them.
Malheur à ceux qui courent dès le matin après les boissons enivrantes, et qui, le soir, prolongent leur orgie, échauffés par le vin!
12 And it will be harp and lyre tambourine and flute and wine feast their and [the] deed[s] of Yahweh not they pay attention to and [the] work of hands his not they see.
La harpe et le luth, le tambourin, la flûte et le vin, voilà leurs festins; mais ils ne prennent point garde à l’œuvre de Yahweh, et ils ne voient point l’ouvrage de ses mains.
13 Therefore it will go into exile people my because not knowledge and honor its [will be] men of hunger and multitude its [will be] parched of thirst.
C’est pourquoi mon peuple s’en ira en exil sans s’en douter; sa noblesse deviendra une troupe affamée, et sa multitude séchera de soif.
14 Therefore it will enlarge Sheol throat its and it will open wide mouth its to not limit and it will go down splendor its and multitude its and uproar its and [one] exulting in it. (Sheol h7585)
C’est pourquoi le schéol se dilate, et ouvre sa bouche sans mesure; elle y descend, la magnificence de Sion, avec sa multitude bruyante et joyeuse. (Sheol h7585)
15 And he has been humbled everyone and he has become low everyone and [the] eyes of proud [people] they will become low.
Le mortel sera humilié, l’homme sera abaissé, et les yeux des superbes seront abattus.
16 And he was exalted Yahweh of hosts by judgment and God holy [will] show himself holy by righteousness.
Et Yahweh des armées apparaîtra grand dans le jugement, et le Dieu saint apparaîtra saint dans la justice.
17 And they will graze lambs like own pasture their and [the] ruins of fatlings sojourners they will eat.
Des brebis paîtront comme sur leur pâturage, et des étrangers dévoreront les champs dévastés des riches.
18 Woe to! [those who] draw along iniquity with [the] cords of emptiness and like [the] rope of cart sin.
Malheur à ceux qui tirent l’iniquité avec des cordes de mensonge, et le péché comme avec les traits d’un chariot!
19 Those [who] say let it hurry - let it make haste! work his so that we may see and it may draw near and let it come! [the] plan of [the] holy [one] of Israel so we may know.
Qui disent: « Qu’il se dépêche, qu’il hâte son œuvre, afin que nous la voyions! Qu’il s’approche et s’exécute, le décret du Saint d’Israël, et que nous sachions!… »
20 Woe to! those [who] say of evil good and of good evil [those who] make darkness into light and light into darkness [those who] make bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter.
Malheur à ceux qui appellent le mal bien, et le bien mal, qui font des ténèbres la lumière, et de la lumière les ténèbres, qui font ce qui est doux amer, et ce qui est amer doux!
21 Woe to! [people] wise in own eyes their and before own faces their discerning [people].
Malheur à ceux qui sont sages à leurs propres yeux, et intelligents à leur propre sens!
22 Woe to! [men] mighty for drinking wine and people of ability for mixing strong drink.
Malheur à ceux qui sont des héros pour boire le vin, et des vaillants pour mêler les liqueurs fortes!
23 [those who] justify a wicked [person] [the] consequence of A bribe and [the] righteousness of righteous [people] they take away from him.
À ceux qui justifient le méchant pour un présent, et qui privent les justes de leur droit!
24 Therefore as consumes stubble a tongue of fire and dry grass a flame it sinks down root their like rottenness it will be and blossom their like dust it will go up for they have rejected [the] law of Yahweh of hosts and [the] word of [the] holy [one] of Israel they have spurned.
C’est pourquoi, comme la langue du feu dévore le chaume, et comme l’herbe sèche s’abîme dans la flamme, leur racine sera semblable à la pourriture, et leur fleur sera emportée comme la poussière; car ils ont rejeté la loi de Yahweh des armées, et méprisé la parole du Saint d’Israël.
25 There-fore it has burned [the] anger of Yahweh on people his and he has stretched out hand his on it and he has struck it and they have quaked the mountains and it was corpse their like offal in [the] middle of [the] streets for all this not it has turned away anger his and still hand his [is] stretched out.
C’est pourquoi la colère de Yahweh s’est embrasée contre son peuple; il a étendu la main contre lui, et il l’a frappé; les montagnes sont ébranlées; leurs cadavres gisent au milieu des chemins, comme de l’ordure. Avec tout cela, sa colère ne s’est pas détournée, et sa main reste étendue.
26 And he will lift up a standard for the nations from a distance and he will whistle for it from [the] end of the earth and there! quickly swift it will come.
Il dresse une bannière pour les nations éloignées; il les siffle des extrémités de la terre. Et voici qu’ils arrivent, prompts et légers.
27 There not [is] a weary [one] and there not [is one who] stumbles among it not anyone will slumber and not anyone will sleep and not it has been opened [the] waistband of loins its and not it has been torn apart a thong of sandals its.
Il n’y en a pas un qui soit las et qui chancelle, pas un qui sommeille ou qui dorme; à aucun la ceinture de ses reins ne se détache, ni la courroie de ses sandales ne se rompt.
28 Which arrows its [are] sharpened and all bows its [are] bent [the] hooves of horses its like flint they are regarded and wheels its like storm-wind.
Leurs flèches sont aiguisées, leurs arcs sont tous tendus; les sabots de leurs chevaux sont durs comme le caillou, les roues de leurs chars pareilles à l’ouragan.
29 Roaring of it [is] like lion (it will roar *Q(K)*) like young lions so it may growl and it may seize prey so it may carry [it] off and there not [is] a deliverer.
Leur rugissement est celui du lion; ils rugissent comme le lionceau: il gronde et saisit sa proie; il l’emporte et personne ne la lui arrache.
30 And it may growl over it in the day that like [the] growling of [the] sea and someone will look to the land and there! darkness distress and light it has become dark by clouds its.
En ce temps-là, il y aura sur le peuple un grondement, semblable au grondement de la mer. On regardera le pays, et voilà les ténèbres! Angoisse et lumière! Puis la nuit s’étend sur le ciel du pays.
