Isaiah 49
1 Listen O islands to me and pay attention O peoples from a distance Yahweh from [the] womb he called me from [the] inward parts of mother my he has brought to remembrance name my.
Ihr Inseln, hört auf mich! Von fern her lauscht, ihr Nationen! Der Herr hat mich vom Mutterleib berufen, im Mutterschoße meinen Namen schon genannt.
2 And he made mouth my like a sword sharp in [the] shadow of hand his he hid me and he made me an arrow polished in quiver his he concealed me.
Er machte meinen Mund zu einem scharfen Schwert; im Schatten seiner Hand verbarg er mich. Er machte mich zu einem blanken Pfeile, versteckte mich in seinem Köcher.
3 And he said to me [are] servant my you Israel whom by you I will get glory for myself.
"Du sollst", sprach er, "mein Diener sein, und Israel soll's sein, an dem ich mich durch dich verherrliche."
4 And I I said to emptiness I have labored to nothingness and futility strength my I have caused to fail nevertheless justice my [is] with Yahweh and recompense my [is] with God my.
Ich aber mußte sprechen: "Umsonst hab ich mich abgemüht und meine Kraft an Nichtigkeiten und an Dunst vertan. Und doch steht bei dem Herrn mein Recht, bei meinem Gott mein Lohn."
5 And now - he says Yahweh [who] formed me from [the] womb a servant of him to bring back Jacob to him and Israel (to him *Q(K)*) it will be gathered and I may be honored in [the] eyes of Yahweh and God my he has been strength my.
Darauf erwiderte der Herr, der mich vom Mutterschoß für sich zum Knecht erzog, um Jakob wiederum zu sich zu bringen und Israel zu sich zu sammeln. Ich bin ja in des Herren Augen vieles wert, und meine Stärke ist mein Gott.
6 And he said it is [too] trifling for being you of me servant to raise up [the] tribes of Jacob (and [the] preserved [ones] of *Q(K)*) Israel to bring back and I will make you a light of [the] nations to be salvation my to [the] end of the earth.
Er sprach: "Zuwenig wäre es dafür, daß du mein Knecht geworden, wärst du nur so mein Diener, daß du die Stämme Jakobs wiederherstellen und Israels Geschlecht heimführen würdest. Ich mache dich vielmehr zum Licht der Heidenvölker, auf daß mein Heil bis an der Erde Ende reiche."
7 Thus he says Yahweh [the] redeemer of Israel holy [one] its to despise life to [one who] abhors a nation to a servant of rulers kings they will see and they will stand up princes so they may bow down on account of Yahweh who [is] faithful [the] holy [one] of Israel and he has chosen you.
So spricht der Herr, der Retter Israels, sein Heiliger, von dem, den alle Welt verachtet, vom Spott der Heidenvölker, vom Knecht der Wüteriche: "Könige stehen auf, wenn sie es schauen, und Fürsten fallen nieder, des Herren, des getreuen, wegen, des Heiligen Israels, der dich erwählt."
8 Thus - he says Yahweh in a time of favor I will answer you and on a day of salvation I will help you and I will watch over you and I will make you a covenant of [the] people to raise up [the] land to give as inheritance inheritances desolate.
So spricht der Herr: "Ist mir's gefällig, so bewillige ich dir Gehör und helfe dir, ist's Zeit zur Hilfe. Ich schütze dich und mache dich zum Ruhm des Volkes. So helfe ich dem Lande auf, besiedle wieder öde Plätze.
9 To say to [the] prisoners come out to [those] who [are] in darkness reveal yourselves on roads they will graze and [will be] on all bare heights pasture their.
Ich sage zu den Häftlingen: 'Heraus!' - zu denen, die im finstern Kerker: 'Kommt ans Licht!' An Straßen sollen sie die Weiden finden, auf allen Hügeln ihre Trift.
10 Not they will be hungry and not they will be thirsty and not it will strike them burning heat and sun for [one who] has compassion on them he will guide them and to springs of water he will lead them.
Nicht hungern werden sie, nicht dürsten. Nicht sticht sie Glutwind, nicht die Sonne. Denn ihr Erbarmer leitet sie; zu Wassersprudeln führt er sie.
11 And I will make all mountains my into road and highways my they will be lifted up!
Ich mache gangbar alle meine Berge, und meine Straßen heben sich.
12 Here! these from a distance they will come and here! these from [the] north and from [the] west and these from [the] land of Sinim.
Aus weiter Ferne kommen sie. Die da vom Norden, die vom Westen und diese aus Siniterland."
13 Shout for joy O heaven and be glad O earth (and break forth *Q(K)*) O mountains a shout of joy for he has comforted Yahweh people his and afflicted [people] his he has compassion on.
Ihr Himmel jauchzt! Frohlocke, Erde! Ihr Berge brecht in lauten Jubel aus! Der Herr nimmt an sich seines Volkes, erbarmt sich seiner Armen.
14 And it said Zion he has forsaken me Yahweh and [the] Lord he has forgotten me.
Doch Sion spricht: "Der Herr hat mich verlassen; der Herr hat mich vergessen."
15 ¿ Will she forget a woman sucking child her from having compassion on [the] child of womb her also these they will forget and I not I will forget you.
Vergißt denn eine Mutter ihres Kindes, des eigenen Leibessprossen die Gebärerin? Und könnten Mütter sie vergessen, so vergesse ich dich nicht.
16 Here! on palms of hands I have inscribed you walls your [are] before me continually.
In meinen Händen trage ich dich eingezeichnet, und deine Mauern stehen allezeit vor mir.
17 They have made haste children your [those who] tear down you and [those who] make desolate you from you they will go out.
Es eilen deine Kinder schneller her als die, die dich verlassen, als die, die dich verwüstet und vernichtet haben.
18 Lift up all around eyes your and see all of them they have gathered together they have come to you [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of Yahweh that all of them like ornament[s] you will put on and you will tie on them like bride.
Erhebe ringsum deine Augen! Schau! Sie alle kommen dir zuhauf. So wahr ich lebe" - ein Spruch des Herrn -, "sie alle legst du dir wie ein Geschmeide an, gleich einem Brautschmuck um.
19 For waste places your and desolate [places] your and [the] land of destruction your for now you will be [too] cramped for [the] inhabitant[s] and they will be far away [those who] swallowed up you.
Denn deine Trümmer, deine Öden, dein zerschunden Land, zu enge wird's für die, die Wohnung suchen, wenn deine Todfeinde erst fort.
20 Yet they will say in ears your [the] children of bereavement your it is cramped for me the place draw near! for me so let me dwell.
Vor deinen eignen Ohren sagen dann die Kinder, dir in deiner Einsamkeit geboren: 'Der Platz ist mir zu eng. Rück weg, daß ich hier auch noch sitzen kann!'
21 And you will say in heart your who? did he father for me these [children] and I [was] bereaved and barren gone into exile - and thrust away and these [children] who? did he bring up here! I I remained to alone me these [children] where? [are] they.
Du fragst dich dann: 'Wer hat sie mir geboren? Ich war doch kinderlos und unfruchtbar, gefangen und verbannt! Wer hat mir diese aufgezogen? Ich war allein noch übrig. Was ist's mit ihnen?'"
22 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here! I will lift up to [the] nations hand my and to peoples I will raise standard my and they will bring sons your in a bosom and daughters your on a shoulder they will be carried.
Dann spricht der Herr, der Herr, also: "Bis zu den Heidenvölkern hin erhebe ich die Hand und richte unter den Nationen meine Flagge auf, damit sie im Gewandbausch deine Söhne bringen, herbei auf ihren Schultern deine Töchter tragen.
23 And they will be kings foster-fathers your and princesses their suckling-nurses your faces ground they will bow down to you and [the] dust of feet your they will lick up and you will know that I [am] Yahweh whom not they will be ashamed [those who] wait for me.
Und deine Wärter sollen Könige und ihre Fürstinnen für dich die Ammen sein. Sie fallen auf ihr Angesicht zur Erde vor dir nieder, den Staub von deinen Füßen küssend. Dann wirst du sehn, daß ich der Herr bin, und daß nicht zuschanden werden, die auf mich vertrauen.
24 ¿ Will it be taken from a warrior booty and or? [the] captive[s] of [the] righteous will it escape.
Kann denn der Raub dem Starken abgejagt, dem Wüterich der Fang entrissen werden?
25 For thus - he says Yahweh also a captive of a warrior he will be taken and [the] booty of a ruthless [person] it will be delivered and opponent your I I will oppose and children your I I will save.
O ja. So spricht der Herr. "Dem Starken kann der Fang entrissen, dem Wüterich die Beute abgenommen werden. Wer mit dir kämpft, mit diesem kämpfe ich; ich selber rette deine Söhne.
26 And I will cause to eat [those who] maltreat you own flesh their and like sweet wine own blood their they will become drunk! and they will know all flesh that I [am] Yahweh deliverer your and redeemer your [the] mighty one of Jacob.
Ich gebe deinen Peinigern ihr eigen Fleisch zu essen. Sie müssen sich an ihrem eignen Blut berauschen wie am Wein, und alle Welt soll wissen, daß ich, der Herr, dein Retter bin, der Starke Jakobs, dein Erlöser.
