< Isaiah 43 >
1 And now thus he says Yahweh [who] created you O Jacob and [who] formed you O Israel may not you be afraid for I have redeemed you I have called [you] by name your [belong] to me you.
Now, therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh—Creating thee, O Jacob, and Fashioning thee O Israel, —Do not fear, For I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name. Mine, thou art!
2 If you will pass in the waters [will be] with you I and in the rivers not they will overflow you if you will walk in fire not you will be burned and flame not it will burn you.
When thou passest through the waters, with thee, I am, Or, through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee, —When thou walkest through fire, thou shall not be scorched, And, a flame, shall not kindle upon thee;
3 For I [am] Yahweh God your [the] holy [one] of Israel deliverer your I have given ransom your Egypt Cush and Seba in place of you.
For, I,—Yahweh, am, Thy God, The Holy One of Israel Ready to save thee, —I have given, as thy ransom, Egypt, Ethiopia and Seba, in thy stead.
4 Because you are precious in view my you are honored and I I love you and I may give humankind in place of you and peoples in place of life your.
Because thou art precious in mine eyes, art honoured And, I, love thee, —And will give mankind, in thy stead, Yea, peoples, for thy life,
5 May not you be afraid for [am] with you I from [the] east I will bring offspring your and from [the] west I will gather you.
Do not fear for, with thee, I am, —From the East, will I bring in thy seed, And, from the West, will I gather thee:
6 I will say to the north deliver up and to [the] south may not you withhold bring sons my from a distance and daughters my from [the] end of the earth.
I will say to the North Give up! And to the South Do not withhold! Bring in My sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth;
7 Every [one who] is called by name my and [whom] for glory my I created him [whom] I formed him also I made him.
Every one who is called by my Name, Whom for mine own glory, I have created—formed—yea, made!
8 Bring out a people blind and [are] eyes there and deaf [people] and ears [belong] to them.
Bring forth A blind people that have, eyes, and A deaf, that have, ears.
9 All the nations they have assembled together so they may gather peoples who? among them will he declare this and former [things] will they proclaim to? us let them appoint witnesses their so they may be justified and they may hear and they may say truth.
All the nations, are gathered together Yea there is an assembling of peoples, Who among them, can tell this, And things in advance, can let us hear? Let them set forth their witnesses that they may get their right, Or let them hear, and say Truth!
10 You [are] witnesses my [the] utterance of Yahweh and servant my whom I have chosen so that you may know and you may believe me and you may perceive that I [am] he before me not it was formed a god and after me not it will be.
Ye, are my witnesses Declareth Yahweh, And my Servant, whom I have chosen, —That ye may take note—and believe me, And perceive that, I, am He, Before me, was not formed a GOD, Nor after me, shall one come into being:
11 I I [am] Yahweh and there not except me [is] a deliverer.
I—I, am Yahweh, —And there is none besides me ready to save:
12 I I have declared and I have saved and I have proclaimed and there not among you [was] a strange [god] and you [are] witnesses my [the] utterance of Yahweh and I [am] God.
I, have told—and will save, and make known, That there is among you no strange one; And, ye, are my witnesses, Declareth Yahweh That, I, am GOD.
13 Also from a day I [am] he and there not from hand my [is] a deliverer I act and who? will he revoke it.
Even from To-day, I, am He, And none, out of my hand, can deliver, —I work and who reverseth?
14 Thus he says Yahweh redeemer your [the] holy [one] of Israel for sake your I have sent Babylon towards and I will bring down [as] fugitives all of them and [the] Chaldeans in ships shout of joy their.
Thus saith Yahweh, Your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel, —For your sakes, have I sent into Babylon, And will bring down as fugitives, all of them, —Even the Chaldeans, in the ships which cause them loud outcry.
15 I [am] Yahweh holy [one] your [the] creator of Israel king your.
I—Yahweh, am Your Holy One, —The Creator of Israel, Your King.
16 Thus he says Yahweh who made in the sea a way and in waters mighty a path.
Thus, saith Yahweh, —Who setteth in the sea, a way, —And in the mighty waters, a path;
17 Who sent out chariotry and horse[s] an army and a strong [one] together they lay down not they rose they were extinguished like wick they were quenched.
Who bringeth forth Chariot and horse, Force and strength, Together, shall they lie down They shall not arise, They are extinguished Like a wick, are they quenched!
18 May not you remember former [things] and ancient [things] may not you consider.
Do not keep in mind former things, —And things of old, do not consider:
19 Here I [am] about to do a new [thing] now it is springing up ¿ not do you know it also I will make in the wilderness a way in a desolate place rivers.
Behold me! doing a new thing, Now, shall it spring forth, Will ye not take note thereof? Surely I will set In the desert, a way, In a desolate land, rivers:
20 It honors me [the] animal[s] of the field jackals and daughters of an ostrich for I have put in the wilderness water rivers in a desolate place to give drink to people my chosen one my.
The wild beast of the field shall honour me, Jackals, and ostriches, Because I have given—In the desert, waters, Rivers in, desolate land, To give drink unto my people, my chosen:
21 A people which I formed for myself praise my they will recount.
A people which I have fashioned for myself, My praise, shall they record.
22 And not me you have called on O Jacob for you have grown weary with me O Israel.
Yet not upon me, hast thou called, O Jacob, —For thou hast been wearied of me O Israel:
23 Not you have brought to me [the] sheep of burnt offerings your and sacrifices your not you have honored me not I have burdened you with offering[s] and not I have made weary you with frankincense.
Thou hast not brought in to me small cattle as thine ascending-offerings, Nor, with thy sacrifices, hast thou honoured me, —I have not oppressed thee with meal-offerings, Nor have I wearied thee with frankincense;
24 Not you have bought for me for money calamus and [the] fat of sacrifices your not you have satisfied me nevertheless you have burdened me with sins your you have made weary me with iniquities your.
Thou hast not bought for me with silver, fragrant calamus, Nor with the fat of thy sacrifices, hast thou sated me, —Thou hast done nothing but oppress me with thy sins, Thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 I I [am] he [who is] wiping out transgressions your for own sake my and sins your not I will remember.
I—I, am he that is ready, To wipe out thy transgressions for mine own sake, —And, thy sins, not remember.
26 Cause to remember me let us enter into judgment together recount O you so that you may be justified.
Put me in mind, Let us enter into judgment at once, —Recount, thou, that thou mayest be justified:
27 Ancestor your first he sinned and spokesmen your they transgressed against me.
Thy chief father, hath sinned, And thine interpreters, have transgressed against me;
28 So I may profane [the] officials of holiness and I will give to total destruction Jacob and Israel to reviling words.
So then I must needs profane the rulers of the holy place, —And deliver Jacob to be devoted to destruction, and Israel, unto reviling!
