Isaiah 41
1 Be silent to me O islands and peoples let them renew strength let them approach then let them speak together for judgment let us draw near.
Faites-moi fête; car les princes ont recouvré leurs forces: qu'ils approchent, qu'ils parlent tous à la fois, et qu'alors ils proclament le jugement.
2 Who? has he stirred up from [the] east righteousness he calls him to foot his he delivers up before him nations and kings he subdues he makes [them] like dust sword his like chaff driven about bow his.
Qui donc a suscité de l'Orient la justice? Il lui a dit: Viens à mes pieds; et elle y viendra. Il la fera comparaître devant les nations; il frappera les rois de stupeur. Il fera tomber à terre leurs glaives; il repoussera comme des broussailles leurs arcs et leurs flèches.
3 He pursues them he passes on peace a path with feet his not he comes.
Et il les poursuivra; et il parcourra en paix la voie de ses pieds.
4 Who? has he done [it] and has he accomplished [it]? calling forth the generations from [the] beginning I Yahweh [am] first and with [the] last I [am] he.
Qui a opéré, qui a fait ces choses? C'est celui qui a appelé la justice, qui l'a appelée dès le commencement des générations. Je suis Dieu, le premier, et pour tous les siècles à venir je suis.
5 They have seen islands so they may be afraid [the] ends of the earth they tremble they have drawn near and they have come!
Les nations ont vu, et elles ont eu crainte, et elles sont accourues des extrémités de la terre; et elles sont venues toutes à la fois.
6 Each neighbor his they help and to brother his he says be strong.
Chaque homme, jugeant pour son prochain, et pour secourir son frère, dira:
7 And he encouraged a craftsman a metalsmith a smoother of a hammer a striker of an anvil saying of the soldering [is] good it and he strengthened it with nails not it will be shaken.
L'artisan a réuni tous ses efforts, ainsi que l'ouvrier qui forge au marteau; et il dira: Voilà une pièce bien jointe; on en a ajusté les parties avec des clous, on va les fixer, et elles ne seront pas ébranlées.
8 And you O Israel servant my Jacob whom I have chosen you [the] offspring of Abraham friend my.
Et toi, Israël, toi, Jacob, mon serviteur, toi que j'ai choisi, postérité d'Abraham, mon bien-aimé;
9 Whom I took hold of you from [the] ends of the earth and from remotest parts its I called you and I said to you [are] servant my you I have chosen you and not I have rejected you.
Toi que j'ai fait revenir des extrémités de la terre; je t'ai convoqué du haut de toutes ses collines, et je t'ai dit: Tu es mon serviteur; je t'ai élu, et je ne t'ai pas abandonné.
10 May not you be afraid for [am] with you I may not you fear for I [am] God your I have strengthened you also I have helped you also I have supported you with [the] right [hand] of righteousness my.
Ne crains pas, car je suis avec toi; ne t'égare pas, car je suis ton Dieu; c'est moi qui t'ai fortifié, moi qui t'ai secouru, et t'ai affermi par la justice de ma droite.
11 There! they will be ashamed and they may be put to shame all those [who] are angry with you they will be as nothing so they may perish [the] people of strife your.
Voilà que tous tes adversaires vont être humiliés et confondus; car ils seront comme s'ils n'étaient pas, et tous tes ennemis périront.
12 You will seek them and not you will find them [the] people of strife your they will be as nothing and as nothing [the] people of warfare your.
Tu les chercheras et tu ne trouveras plus ces hommes qui t'insultaient dans l'ivresse; car ils seront comme s'ils n'étaient pas, et ceux qui te faisaient la guerre n'existeront plus.
13 For I [am] Yahweh God your [who] takes hold of right [hand] your who says to you may not you be afraid I I will help you.
Je suis ton Dieu qui t'ai pris par la main droite et qui te dis: Ne crains pas.
14 May not you be afraid O worm of Jacob O men of Israel I I will help you [the] utterance of Yahweh and [is] redeemer your [the] holy [one] of Israel.
Jacob, Israël, si amoindri que tu sois, c'est moi qui t'ai secouru, dit ton Dieu; c'est moi, ô Israël, qui t'ai racheté.
15 Here! I will make you a threshing-sledge sharp new an owner of teeth you will thresh mountains so you may crush [them] and hills like chaff you will make.
Voilà que je t'ai façonné comme les roues d'un char à moudre, neuves et dentelées; et tu moudras les montagnes, et tu aplaniras les collines, et tu les réduiras en poudre.
16 You will winnow them and a wind it will carry away them and a tempest it will scatter them and you you will be glad in Yahweh in [the] holy [one] of Israel you will boast.
Et tu les vanneras, et le vent les emportera, et un tourbillon les dispersera. Cependant tu te réjouiras dans les saints d'Israël.
17 The poor [people] and the needy [people] [are] seeking water and there not tongue their with thirst it is dry I Yahweh I will answer them [the] God of Israel not I will forsake them.
Et les pauvres et les indigents tressailliront d'allégresse; car ils auront cherché de l'eau, et il n'y en avait pas; et leur langue était desséchée par la soif. Mais moi, le Seigneur Dieu, moi le Dieu d'Israël, je les entendrai et je ne les abandonnerai pas.
18 I will open on bare heights rivers and in [the] middle of valleys springs I will make [the] wilderness a pool of water and a land dry springs of water.
Je ferai jaillir des fleuves sur les monts, et des sources dans la plaine; je changerai le désert en étangs, et la terre altérée en eaux courantes.
19 I will put in the wilderness cedar[s] acacia tree[s] and myrtle tree[s] and tree[s] of oil I will set in the desert plain cypress[es] elm[s] and box tree[s] together.
Dans la terre sans eau je placerai le cèdre, le buis, le myrte, le cyprès et le peuplier:
20 So that they may see so they may know so they may set so they may have insight all together that [the] hand of Yahweh it has done this and [the] holy [one] of Israel he has created it.
Afin que partout on voie, on sache, on comprenne, on sente à la fois que la main du Seigneur a fait ces choses, et que le Saint d'Israël les a montrées.
21 Bring near case your he says Yahweh bring near arguments your he says [the] king of Jacob.
Votre jugement est proche, dit le Seigneur Dieu, et proches sont vos conseils, dit le Roi de Jacob.
22 Let them bring [them] near and they may tell to us [the things] which they will happen the former [things] - what? [were] they tell so let us take [them] heart our so we may know end their or the coming [things] proclaim to us.
Qu'ils approchent, qu'ils vous annoncent ce qui doit arriver, ou ce qui d'abord a existé; parlez, et nous appliquerons notre pensée à votre parole, et nous saurons ce que sont les choses de la fin, les choses à venir.
23 Tell the [things] coming to afterwards so let us know that [are] gods you also you will do good and you may do harm and let us fear (so let us see *Q(K)*) altogether.
Dites-nous, annoncez-nous les choses de la fin, et nous reconnaîtrons que vous êtes des dieux. Faites le bien, faites le mal, et nous admirerons, et en même temps nous verrons
24 Here! you [are] from nothing and work your [is] from something worthless [is] an abomination [one who] he chooses you.
D'où vous venez et d'où viennent vos œuvres: on vous a tirés de l'abomination de la terre.
25 I have stirred up from [the] north and he has come from [the] rising of [the] sun he will call on name my so he may come officials like mud and like a potter [who] he tramples clay.
Mais moi j'ai suscité celui qui vient de l'Aquilon et celui qui vient de l'Orient; ils seront appelés en mon nom. Que viennent les princes, et vous serez foulés aux pieds, comme l'argile du potier; ils vous fouleront comme le potier foule l'argile.
26 Who? did he tell [it] from [the] beginning so we may know and from before so we may say correct also there not [was one who] told also there not [was one who] proclaimed also there not [was one who] heard words your.
Qui donc, en effet, publiera les choses du commencement, afin que nous sachions ce qui précédemment a existé? Alors nous dirons: Cela est véritable. Mais il n'est personne qui prédise, ni qui écoute vos discours.
27 A first [one] to Zion here! here [are] they and to Jerusalem a bearer of news I gave.
Je donnerai la principauté à Sion, et dans la voie je consolerai Jérusalem.
28 And [when] I may look and there not [is] a person and from these and there not [is] a counselor and I will ask them and they may bring back a word.
Car nul des Gentils, nulle des idoles ne peut rien apprendre; et si je leur demande: D'où venez-vous? nul ne pourra répondre.
29 There! all of them [are] deception [are] nothing deeds their [are] a wind and emptiness molten images their.
Ce sont ceux qui vous fabriquent qui induisent les hommes en erreur.
