Isaiah 38
1 In the days those he became sick Hezekiah to die and he went to him Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet and he said to him thus he says Yahweh command to household your for [are] about to die you and not you will live.
I dei dagarne lagdes Hizkia i helsott; då kom profeten Jesaja Amosson til honom og sagde med honom: «So segjer Herren: «Skila for deg! for du skal døy; du vert ikkje god att.»»
2 And he turned Hezekiah face his to the wall and he prayed to Yahweh.
Då snudde Hizkia seg mot veggen og bad til Herren:
3 And he said I beg you O Yahweh remember please this: I have walked about before you in faithfulness and with a heart complete and the good in view your I have done and he wept Hezekiah weeping great.
«Å Herre! kom i hug kor eg hev ferdast ærleg og heilhjarta di åsyn og gjort det som godt var i dine augo!» Og Hizkia sette i og storgret.
4 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Isaiah saying.
Då kom Herrens ord til Jesaja soleis:
5 Go and you will say to Hezekiah thus he says Yahweh [the] God of David ancestor your I have heard prayer your I have seen tear[s] your here I he will add to days your fif-teen year[s].
«Gakk og seg til Hizkia: «So segjer Herren, Gud åt David, far din: Eg hev høyrt bøni di og set tårorne dine. Sjå, eg aukar alderen din med femtan år.
6 And from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria I will deliver you and the city this and I will defend the city this.
Or handi på assyrarkongen bergar eg deg og denne byen; ja, eg vernar denne byen.
7 And this for you [will be] the sign from with Yahweh that he will do Yahweh the thing this which he has spoken.
Og dette gjev Herren deg til merke på at Herren heldt det han hev lova:
8 Here I [am] about to turn back [the] shadow of the steps which it had gone down on [the] steps of Ahaz with the sun backwards ten steps and it went back the sun ten steps on the steps which it had gone down.
Sjå, eg let skuggen på solskiva, som med soli hev gjenge ned på solskiva åt Ahaz, ganga ti strik attende.»» Og soli gjekk attende ti av dei striki ho hadde gjenge ned.
9 A writing of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah when was sick he and he lived from sickness his.
Ein skrift av Hizkia, kongen i Juda, då han hadde vore sjuk, men hadde kome seg av sjukdomen:
10 I I said in [the] half of days my let me go in [the] gates of Sheol I have been caused to miss [the] remainder of years my. (Sheol h7585)
«Eg sagde: I mine beste år lyt eg fara igjenom helheimsportarne; eg lyt bøta med resten av åri mine. (Sheol h7585)
11 I said not I will see Yahweh Yahweh in [the] land of the living not I will look at humankind again with [the] inhabitants of cessation.
Eg sagde: Eg fær ikkje sjå Herren, Herren i landet åt dei livande; eg fær ikkje skoda menneskje meir millom deim som bur i stilla.
12 Dwelling-place my it has been pulled up and it has been removed from me like [the] tent of shepherd my I have rolled up like weaver life my from [the] loom he cuts off me from day unto night you make an end of me.
Min bustad vert upprykt og burtførd frå meg som eit hyrdingtjeld. Eg hev rulla mitt liv i hop som ein vevar; frå varpet skjer han meg av; fyrr dag vert natt, er du ferdig med meg.
13 I have lain down until morning like lion so he breaks all bones my from day unto night you make an end of me.
Eg roa meg alt til morgons; som ei løva, so bryt han alle mine bein; fyrr dag vert natt, er du ferdig med meg.
14 Like a swallow a crane so I chirp I moan like dove they are cast down eyes my to the height[s] O Lord oppression [belongs] to me stand surety for me.
Som ei svala, ei trana, so sutra eg, eg kurra som ei duva; dimt såg mine augo mot høgdi: Eg er kvidefull, Herre, borga for meg!
15 What? will I say and he has spoken to me and he he has acted I will walk deliberately all years my on [the] bitterness of self my.
Kva skal eg segja? Han hev meg sagt det, og han hev gjort det. Stilt vil eg ferdast alle mine år for all mi sjælekvida.
16 O Lord on them people live and to all in them [the] life of spirit my and may you restore to health me and preserve alive me.
Herre, dei er til liv, og dei held uppe alt liv i mi ånd. So gjer meg då frisk og lat meg liva!
17 Here! for welfare it was bitter to me bitterly and you you loved life my from [the] pit of destruction for you threw away behind back your all sins my.
Det beiske, det beiske vart meg til fred, og du drog kjærleg mi sjæl or tyningsgravi; for du kasta bak din rygg alle synderne mine.
18 For not Sheol it gives thanks to you death it praises you not they hope [those who] go down of [the] pit to faithfulness your. (Sheol h7585)
For ikkje prisar helheimen deg, ikkje lovar dauden deg; ikkje vonar dei som fer ned i gravi på truskapen din. (Sheol h7585)
19 [the] living [the] living He he gives thanks to you as I this day a father to children he makes known concerning faithfulness your.
Den livande, den livande, han prisar deg liksom eg i dag; ein far lærer borni sine um truskapen din.
20 Yahweh [is] to save me and songs my we will play all [the] days of lives our at [the] house of Yahweh.
Herren vil frelsa meg, og på strengleikar vil me leika alle våre livedagar i Herrens hus.»
21 And he said Isaiah let them take a cake of figs and let them rub [it] on the boil so he may live.
Jesaja sagde dei skulde taka ei fikekaka og leggja til plåster på svullen, so han skulde friskna til att.
22 And he said Hezekiah what? [will be the] sign that I will go up [the] house of Yahweh.
Hizkia sagde: «Kva skal eg hava til merke på at eg skal ganga upp til Herrens hus?»
