Isaiah 38
1 In the days those he became sick Hezekiah to die and he went to him Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet and he said to him thus he says Yahweh command to household your for [are] about to die you and not you will live.
Ved den tid blev Esekias dødssyk; da kom profeten Esaias, Amos' sønn, inn til ham og sa til ham: Så sier Herren: Beskikk ditt hus! For du skal dø og ikke leve lenger.
2 And he turned Hezekiah face his to the wall and he prayed to Yahweh.
Da vendte Esekias sitt ansikt mot veggen og bad til Herren
3 And he said I beg you O Yahweh remember please this: I have walked about before you in faithfulness and with a heart complete and the good in view your I have done and he wept Hezekiah weeping great.
og sa: Akk, Herre! kom dog i hu at jeg har vandret for ditt åsyn i trofasthet og med helt hjerte og gjort hvad godt er i dine øine! Og Esekias gråt høit.
4 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Isaiah saying.
Da kom Herrens ord til Esaias, og det lød så:
5 Go and you will say to Hezekiah thus he says Yahweh [the] God of David ancestor your I have heard prayer your I have seen tear[s] your here I he will add to days your fif-teen year[s].
Gå og si til Esekias: Så sier Herren, din far Davids Gud: Jeg har hørt din bønn, jeg har sett dine tårer; se, jeg legger femten år til din alder.
6 And from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria I will deliver you and the city this and I will defend the city this.
Og jeg vil redde dig og denne by av assyrerkongens hånd, og jeg vil verne denne by.
7 And this for you [will be] the sign from with Yahweh that he will do Yahweh the thing this which he has spoken.
Og dette skal du ha til tegn fra Herren på at Herren vil holde det han nu har lovt:
8 Here I [am] about to turn back [the] shadow of the steps which it had gone down on [the] steps of Ahaz with the sun backwards ten steps and it went back the sun ten steps on the steps which it had gone down.
Se, jeg lar solskivens skygge, som er gått ned med solen på Akas' solskive, gå ti streker tilbake. Og solen gikk tilbake ti av de streker den var gått ned.
9 A writing of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah when was sick he and he lived from sickness his.

10 I I said in [the] half of days my let me go in [the] gates of Sheol I have been caused to miss [the] remainder of years my. (Sheol h7585)

11 I said not I will see Yahweh Yahweh in [the] land of the living not I will look at humankind again with [the] inhabitants of cessation.
Jeg sa: Jeg skal ikke se Herren, Herren i de levendes land jeg skal ikke skue mennesker mere blandt dem som bor i det stille.
12 Dwelling-place my it has been pulled up and it has been removed from me like [the] tent of shepherd my I have rolled up like weaver life my from [the] loom he cuts off me from day unto night you make an end of me.
Min bolig blir rykket op og ført bort fra mig som en hyrdes telt; jeg har rullet mitt liv sammen lik en vever, fra trådendene skjærer han mig av; fra dag til natt gjør du det av med mig.
13 I have lain down until morning like lion so he breaks all bones my from day unto night you make an end of me.
Jeg fikk min sjel til å være stille inntil morgenen; som en løve knuser han alle mine ben; fra dag til natt gjør du det av med mig.
14 Like a swallow a crane so I chirp I moan like dove they are cast down eyes my to the height[s] O Lord oppression [belongs] to me stand surety for me.
Som en svale, som en trane, således klynket jeg, jeg kurret som en due; matte så mine øine mot det høie: Herre! Jeg er redd, gå i borgen for mig!
15 What? will I say and he has spoken to me and he he has acted I will walk deliberately all years my on [the] bitterness of self my.
Hvad skal jeg si? Han har både sagt mig det, og han har gjort det; stille vil jeg vandre alle mine år efter min sjels bitre smerte.
16 O Lord on them people live and to all in them [the] life of spirit my and may you restore to health me and preserve alive me.
Herre! Ved dem lever mennesket, og ved dem blir alt min ånds liv opholdt; så gjør mig frisk og la mig leve!
17 Here! for welfare it was bitter to me bitterly and you you loved life my from [the] pit of destruction for you threw away behind back your all sins my.
Se, til fred blev mig det bitre, ja det bitre, og kjærlig drog du min sjel op av tilintetgjørelsens grav; for du kastet alle mine synder bak din rygg.
18 For not Sheol it gives thanks to you death it praises you not they hope [those who] go down of [the] pit to faithfulness your. (Sheol h7585)
For ikke priser dødsriket dig, ikke lover døden dig; ikke venter de som farer ned i graven, på din trofasthet. (Sheol h7585)
19 [the] living [the] living He he gives thanks to you as I this day a father to children he makes known concerning faithfulness your.
De levende, de levende, de priser dig, som jeg idag; en far lærer sine barn om din trofasthet.
20 Yahweh [is] to save me and songs my we will play all [the] days of lives our at [the] house of Yahweh.
Herren er rede til å frelse mig, og på mine strengeleker vil vi spille alle vårt livs dager i Herrens hus.
21 And he said Isaiah let them take a cake of figs and let them rub [it] on the boil so he may live.
Esaias sa at de skulde hente en fikenkake og legge den som plaster på bylden, så han kunde bli frisk igjen.
22 And he said Hezekiah what? [will be the] sign that I will go up [the] house of Yahweh.
Esekias sa: Hvad skal jeg ha til tegn på at jeg skal gå op til Herrens hus?
