< Isaiah 37 >

1 And it was when heard the king Hezekiah and he tore clothes his and he covered himself with sackcloth and he went [the] house of Yahweh.

2 And he sent Eliakim who [was] over the house and - Shebna the scribe and [the] elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet.

3 And they said to him thus he says Hezekiah [is] a day of distress and rebuke and insult the day this for they have come children to birth and [is] strength there not for giving birth.
Te vaengah a taengah, “Hezekiah loh citcai neh toelthamnah khohnin neh kokhahnah khohnin ni. Camoe om hamla a pha tih a cun ham thadueng a om pawt bangla ka om coeng.
4 Perhaps he will hear Yahweh God your - [the] words of [the] chief commander whom he has sent him [the] king of Assyria - master his to taunt [the] God living and he will rebuke the words which he has heard Yahweh God your and you will lift up prayer for the remnant which is found.
Khotawt Rabshakeh kah olka te Yahovah na Pathen loh a yaak khaming. Aka hing Pathen veet hamla a boei Assyria manghai loh anih te a tueih coeng. Te ol Yahovah na Pathen loh a yaak coeng dongah a tluung bitni. A meet aka om duen ham khaw thangthuinah neh thothueng laeh,” a ti,” a ti na uh.
5 And they came [the] servants of the king Hezekiah to Isaiah.
Manghai Hezekiah kah sal rhoek te Isaiah taengla a pawk uh vaengah,
6 And he said to them Isaiah thus you will say! to master your thus - he says Yahweh may not you be afraid of the words which you have heard which they have blasphemed [the] servants of [the] king of Assyria me.
amih te Isaiah loh, “Na boei taengah thui pah BOEIPA loh, ‘Te ol te rhih boeh, Assyria manghai taengca rhoek loh kai n'hliphen te na yaak uh coeng.
7 Here I [am] about to put in him a spirit and he will hear a report and he will return to own land his and I will make fall him by the sword in own land his.
Anih te mueihla ka paek vaengah olthang a yaak vetih amah kho la mael bitni. Te vaengah anih te amah kho ah cunghang neh ka cungku sak bitni,’ a ti,” a ti nah.
8 And he returned [the] chief commander and he found [the] king of Assyria fighting on Libnah if he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.
Lakhish lamloh a nong te a yaak vaengah khotawt Rabshakeh khaw mael van dae Assyria manghai loh Libnah a vathoh thil te a hmuh.
9 And he heard on Tirhakah [the] king of Cush saying he has come out to do battle with you and he heard and he sent messengers to Hezekiah saying.
Kusah manghai Tirhakah te a yaak coeng lahko. Nang vathoh thil ham ha pawk coeng a ti lah ko. A yaak tangloeng vaengah tah Hezekiah taengla puencawn a tueih tih,
10 Thus you will say! to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah saying may not he deceive you God your whom you [are] trusting in him saying not it will be given Jerusalem in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
“Judah manghai Hezekiah te thui pah. ‘Na pangtung thil na Pathen loh nang n'rhaithi boel saeh,’ ti nah. ‘Jerusalem khaw Assyria manghai kut dongla pawk mahpawh,’ ti nah.
11 Here! - you you have heard [that] which they have done [the] kings of Assyria to all the lands by totally destroying them and you will you be delivered?
Assyria manghai rhoek loh diklai tom te a saii tih amih a thup te namah loh na yaak coeng dongah na loeih uh venim te.
12 ¿ Did they deliver them [the] gods of the nations which they destroyed ancestors my Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and [the] people of Eden who [were] in Telassar.
A pa rhoek loh a phae Gozan, Haran, Rezeph neh Telassar kah Eden ca rhoek te amih kah namtom pathen loh a huul a?
13 Where? [is] [the] king of Hamath and [the] king of Arpad and [the] king of Lair Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah.
Khamath manghai neh Arpad manghai, Sepharvaim khopuei, Hena neh Ivvah manghai te ta,” a ti nah.
14 And he took Hezekiah the letters from [the] hand of the messengers and he read it and he went up [the] house of Yahweh and he spread out it Hezekiah before Yahweh.
Puencawn kut lamkah ca te Hezekiah loh a doe tih a tae. Te phoeiah BOEIPA im la cet tih BOEIPA mikhmuh ah Hezekiah loh a phaih.
15 And he prayed Hezekiah to Yahweh saying.
Hezekiah tah BOEIPA taengah thangthui tih,
16 O Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel [who] sits the cherubim you he [are] God to alone you of all [the] kingdoms of the earth you you have made the heavens and the earth.
caempuei BOEIPA Israel Pathen, namah loh cherubim na ngol thil tih, diklai ram boeih soah namah bueng Pathen coeng. Namah loh vaan neh diklai na saii.
17 Incline O Yahweh - ear your and hear open O Yahweh eyes your and see and hear all [the] words of Sennacherib which he has sent to taunt [the] God living.
BOEIPA na hna kaeng lamtah hnatun lah. BOEIPA aw na mik dai lamtah hmu van lah. Sennacherib ol te boeih ya van lah. Aka hing Pathen veet hamla hlang a tueih lah ko te.
18 Truly O Yahweh they have made desolate [the] kings of Assyria all the lands and land their.
Aw BOEIPA, Assyria manghai rhoek loh diklai boeih neh a khohmuen khaw a khah uh coeng.
19 And they have put gods their in the fire for not [were] gods they that except [the] work of [the] hands of a person wood and stone and they destroyed them.
Amih kah pathen te hmai ah a pup pah. Te te pathen moenih. Hlang kut kah bibi thing neh lungto mailai ni, te dongah te rhoek khaw milh uh.
20 And now O Yahweh God our save us from hand his so they may know all [the] kingdoms of the earth that you [are] Yahweh to alone you.
Kaimih kah Pathen Yahovah loh kaimih he anih kut lamloh n'khang pawn saeh. Te vaengah diklai ram pum loh nang namah bueng te BOEIPA la m'ming uh saeh,” a ti nah.
21 And he sent Isaiah [the] son of Amoz to Hezekiah saying thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel that you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria.
Te dongah Amoz capa Isaiah loh Hezekiah te a tah tih, “Israel Pathen Yahovah loh, ‘Assyria manghai Sennacherib kongah kai taengla na thangthui coeng,’ a ti.
22 This [is] the word which he has spoken Yahweh on him she has despised you she has mocked you [the] virgin of [the] daughter of Zion behind you a head she has shaken [the] daughter of Jerusalem.
He ol he BOEIPA loh anih ham ni a thui. Zion nu oila nang te n'hnoelrhoeng tih n'tamdaeng. Nang hnukah Jerusalem nu loh lu a hinghuen.
23 Whom? have you taunted and have you blasphemed? and on whom? have you raised a voice and have you lifted up? height eyes your against [the] holy [one] of Israel.
Unim na veet tih na hliphen dae? Unim ol na huel thil van dae na mik nen tah Israel kah a cim taengah a sang la na huel.
24 By [the] hand of servants your you have taunted - [the] Lord and you have said with [the] abundance of chariotry my I I have gone up [the] height[s] of mountains [the] remotest parts of Lebanon so I may cut down [the] height of cedars its [the] choicest of pines its so I may come [to the] height of end its [the] forest of orchard its.
Na sal rhoek kah kut loh Boeipa namah te m'veet. Te vaengah ka leng te yet neh Lebanon hlaep kah tlang sang khaw kamah ka yoeng coeng. Lamphai thingsang neh hmaical thinghloe khaw ka top coeng. A khobawt hmuensang kah a cangphil cangngol duup khaw ka pha coeng.
25 I I have dug and I have drunk water so I may dry up with [the] sole of feet my all [the] canals of Egypt.
Kamah loh ka rhawt tih tui ka ok. Egypt sokko boeih ka kho kah khopha neh kak sak.
26 ¿ Not have you heard from distant [time] it I appointed from days of antiquity and I planned it now I have brought it and you are [about] to make desolate heaps ruined cities fortified.
Hlamat kum lamloh ka nuen te daengrhae daengkhoi la na ya pawt nim. Ka hlom tangtae te ka paan coeng he,” na ti. Te dongah cakrhuet khopuei rhoek khaw hlang aka hnuei lungkuk a thaek bangla na om coeng.
27 And inhabitants their [were] short of hand they were dismayed and they were ashamed they were [the] vegetation of [the] field and [the] greenery of vegetation grass of roofs and a field before standing grain.
Amih khosa rhoek kah a kut toi tih rhihyawp uh. Te dongah khohmuen kah baelhing khaw yahhat la om. Imphu kah sulrham, toian thingsuep neh canghli kah te khaw mawn loh a boh.
28 And sitting down your and going out you and coming in you I know and raging you against me.
Na om van tih na hlah uh van mai. Na pawk te khaw ka ming ngawn dae kai taengah na tlai hae.
29 Because raging you against me and arrogance your it has come up in ears my and I will put hook my in nose your and bridle my on lips your and I will turn back you by the way which you came by it.
Kai taengah na tlai neh na mongkawt te ka hna la ha pawk coeng. Te dongah ka thisum neh na hnarhong ah ka dueh vetih na ka ah ka kamrhui kam ban ni. Te vaengah nang te kam mael puei vetih longpuei ah na pongpa ni.
30 And this for you [will be] the sign you will eat this year self-sown grain and in the year second self-seeded plant[s] and in the year third sow and reap and plant vineyards (and eat *Q(K)*) fruit their.
Te phoeiah hekah he nang ham ah miknoek la om ni. Kum khat pong vetih a kum bae ah anboe te caak ham om. Tedae a kum thum dongah tawn lamtah at bal. Misur te phung lamtah a thaih te ca khaw ca kolo van.
31 And it will add [the] escaped remnant of [the] house of Judah which remains a root downwards and it will produce fruit upwards.
Judah imkhui kah rhalyong te khaw a thap vetih a laedil kah a yung aka sueng tah a hman ah a thaih cuen ni.
32 For from Jerusalem it will go out a remnant and an escaped remnant from [the] mountain of Zion [the] zeal of Yahweh of hosts it will accomplish this.
Te vaengah Jerusalem lamkah a meet neh Zion tlang lamkah rhalyong te khaw ha pawk ni. Te tlam te caempuei BOEIPA kah thatlainah loh a saii ni.
33 Therefore thus he says Yahweh concerning [the] king of Assyria not he will come into the city this and not he will shoot there an arrow and not he will confront it a shield and not he will pour out on it a mound.
Te ham te BOEIPA loh a thui tangloeng. Assyria manghai te he khopuei khuila kun pawt vetih thaltang pataeng kap mahpawh. photling nen khaw mah pawt vetih tanglung khaw lun thil mahpawh.
34 By the way which he came by it he will return and into the city this not he will come [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ha pawk nah longpuei long te mael vetih he khopuei khuila ha kun mahpawh. BOEIPA kah olphong coeng ni.
35 And I will defend the city this to deliver it for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.
He khopuei he ka tungaep vetih, kamah ham neh ka sal David ham ka khang ni.
36 And he went out - [the] angel of Yahweh and he struck down in [the] camp of Assyria one hundred and eighty and five thousand and they rose early in the morning and there! all of them [were] corpses dead.
Te dongah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh a paan tih Assyria rhaehhmuen ah thawng ya rhet thawng nga te a ngawn pah. Mincang a thoh uh vaengah tah amih te a rhok la boeih duek uh.
37 And he set out and he went and he returned Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he remained in Nineveh.
Te daengah puen uh tih vik cet. Assyria manghai Sennacherib khaw mael tih Nineveh ah kho a sak.
38 And it was he [was] bowing down [the] house of - Nisroch god his and Adrammelech and Sharezer sons his they struck down him with the sword and they they escaped [the] land of Ararat and he reigned Esar-haddon son his in place his.
