Isaiah 29
1 Woe to! Ariel Ariel [the] town [where] he camped David add year to year festivals let them go around.
Wee Offerhaard, Gods Offerhaard, Stad, waar David zijn tenten opsloeg! Voegt nog een jaar bij de jaren, En laat de feesten hun kringloop volbrengen:
2 And I will bring distress to Ariel and it will be mourning and lamentation and it will be to me like Ariel.
Dan zal Ik Gods Offerhaard benauwen, Doen kreunen en kermen, En maak er een echte offerhaard van!
3 And I will encamp like circle on you and I will lay siege on you siege-works and I will raise on you fortifications.
Ik zal u van alle kant belegeren, U met wallen omringen, En verschansingen tegen u bouwen.
4 And you will become low from [the] ground you will speak and from [the] dust it will be humbled utterance your and it will be like a necromancer from [the] ground voice your and from [the] dust utterance your it will whisper.
Dan zult ge op de grond liggen roepen, Uw woord zal worden verstikt door het stof; Uw stem zal uit de aarde komen als die van een spook, Uw spreken knarsen uit het zand.
5 And it will be like dust fine [the] multitude of strangers your and like chaff [which] passes away [the] multitude of ruthless [people] and it will happen to suddenness suddenly.
De zwerm uwer vijanden zal zijn als een stofwolk, De drom der verdrukkers als opstuivend kaf; En plotseling, heel onverwacht
6 From with Yahweh of hosts you will be visited with thunder and with earthquake and noise great a storm-wind and a tempest and a flame of fire devouring.
Zult ge door Jahweh der heirscharen worden bezocht: Met donder, geraas en gedaver, Met wervelwind en orkaan, Met verslindende vlammen.
7 And it will be like a dream a vision of [the] night [the] multitude of all the nations which wage war on Ariel and all [those who] wage war against it and stronghold its and those [who] bring distress to it.
En als een droom en een nachtmerrie Zal het heir aller volken, die tegen Offerhaard strijden, Al zijn burchten en torens benauwen.
8 And it will be just as he dreams the hungry [person] and there! [he is] eating and he awakes and [is] empty appetite his and just as he dreams the thirsty [person] and there! [he is] drinking and he awakes and there! [he is] faint and throat his [is] longing so it will be [the] multitude of all the nations which wage war on [the] mountain of Zion.
Het zal hem gaan als een hongerige, die droomt, dat hij eet, Maar zijn maag is leeg bij het ontwaken, Of als een dorstige, die droomt, dat hij drinkt, Maar die ontwaakt, uitgeput en versmacht: Zo zal hem het heir aller volken zijn, die Sion bekampen!
9 Delay and be astounded blind yourselves and be blind people have become drunk and not wine people have staggered and not strong drink.
Verhardt, opdat ge verstart, Wordt blind, opdat ge niet ziet; Weest dronken, maar niet van wijn, Waggelt, maar niet van drank.
10 For he has poured out on you Yahweh a spirit of deep sleep and he has shut eyes your the prophets and heads your the seers he has covered.
Want Jahweh heeft over u uitgestort Een geest van verdoving; Hij heeft uw ogen gesloten, profeten, Zieners, uw hoofden gesluierd.
11 And it has become for you [the] vision of the whole like [the] words of the scroll sealed which people give it to [one who] knows (writing *Q(K)*) saying read aloud please this and he says not I am able for [is] sealed it.
Zo wordt u dit hele visioen Als de inhoud van een verzegeld boek: Men geeft het iemand, die lezen kan, En zegt: ge moet het eens lezen; Dan antwoordt hij: Ik kan niet, want het boek is verzegeld.
12 And it is given the scroll to [one] who not he knows writing saying read aloud please this and he says not I know writing.
Of men geeft het boek iemand, die niet leest, En zegt: ge moet het eens lezen; Dan antwoordt hij: Ik kan niet lezen.
13 And he said [the] Lord because for it has drawn near the people this with mouth its and with lips its they have honored me and heart its it has made far away from me and it has been fear their [of] me a commandment of people [which] has been taught.
En de Heer zegt: Omdat dit volk Mij nadert met de mond, En Mij eert met de lippen alleen, Maar zijn hart heel ver van Mij houdt, En zijn vrees voor Mij enkel bestaat Uit mensenwijsheid, van buiten geleerd;
14 Therefore here I he will repeat to deal wonderfully with the people this highly and a wonder and it will perish [the] wisdom of wise [people] its and [the] understanding of understanding [people] its it will hide itself.
Daarom blijf Ik heel wonderlijke dingen doen aan dit volk: De wijsheid zijner wijzen vergaat, Het vernuft van zijn verstandigen verduistert.
15 Woe to! those [who] make deep from Yahweh to hide a plan and it is in a dark place deeds their and they have said who? [is] seeing us and who? [is] perceiving us.
Wee hun, die diep voor Jahweh Hun plannen willen verbergen; Die hun werken in het duister verrichten, En zeggen: wie ziet ons, wie kent ons!
16 Perversity your? like [the] clay of the potter will he be regarded that it will say a thing made to [the] [one who] made it not he made me and a pot it said to potter its not he has understood.
Wat dwaasheid! Is dan de pottenbakker gelijk aan het leem, Dat het maaksel van zijn maker zou zeggen: Hij vormde mij niet; En de pot van den pottenbakker zou zeggen: Hij heeft er geen verstand van?
17 ¿ Not yet a little of a little and it will turn Lebanon into orchard and the orchard to forest it will be considered.
Doch het is nog maar een korte tijd, En de Libanon zal in een boomgaard veranderen, De boomgaard lijken op een woud!
18 And they will hear in the day that the deaf [people] [the] words of a scroll and from gloom and from darkness [the] eyes of blind [people] they will see.
Dan zullen de doven horen wat in het boek staat geschreven, De blinde ogen zien, van donker en duister verlost;
19 And they will add humble [people] in Yahweh joy and needy [people] of humankind in [the] holy [one] of Israel they will be glad.
De ongelukkigen zich telkens meer in Jahweh verheugen, De armsten onder de mensen in Israëls Heilige juichen.
20 For he will come to an end [the] ruthless person and he will come to an end [the] mocker and they will be cut off all [those who] lie in wait wickedness.
Want de tyran is verdwenen, de spotter is weg; Allen vernield, die onheil brouwen, En anderen op hun woord beschuldigen;
21 [those who] cause to sin a person With a word and for the [one who] adjudicates in the gate they lay a trap! and they have turned aside with emptiness [the] righteous [person].
Die den rechter strikken leggen onder de poort, En de onschuldigen door leugen verdringen.
22 Therefore thus he says Yahweh to [the] house of Jacob who he redeemed Abraham not now it will be ashamed Jacob and not now face its they will grow pale.
Daarom spreekt Jahweh, De God van het huis van Jakob, Hij, die Abraham heeft verlost: Niet langer zal Jakob worden beschaamd, Niet langer zijn aangezicht blozen;
23 For when sees it children its [the] work of hands my in midst its they will regard as holy name my and they will regard as holy [the] holy [one] of Jacob and [the] God of Israel they will regard with awe.
Maar wanneer zijn kinderen Het werk mijner handen in hun midden aanschouwen, Dan zullen zij mijn Naam vereren, Den Heilige Jakobs aanbidden, Den God van Israël vrezen;
24 And they will know [those who] go astray of spirit understanding and murmurers they will learn instruction.
En de dolenden zullen inzicht bekomen, De mopperaars zullen de lessen verstaan!
