Isaiah 24
1 Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
Se, HERREN ödelägger jorden och föröder den; han omvälver, vad därpå är, och förströr dess inbyggare.
2 And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
Och det går prästen såsom folket, husbonden såsom tjänaren, husfrun såsom tjänarinnan, säljaren såsom köparen, låntagaren såsom långivaren, gäldenären såsom borgenären.
3 Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
Jorden bliver i grund ödelagd och i grund utplundrad; ty HERREN har talat detta ord.
4 It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
Jorden sörjer och tvinar bort, jordkretsen försmäktar och tvinar bort, vad högt är bland jordens folk försmäktar.
5 And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
Ty jorden har blivit ohelgad under sina inbyggare; de hava överträtt lagarna, de hava förvandlat rätten, brutit det eviga förbundet.
6 There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
Därför uppfräter förbannelse jorden, och de som bo där måste lida, vad de hava förskyllt; därför förtäras jordens inbyggare av hetta, så att ej många människor finnas kvar.
7 It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
Vinmusten sörjer, vinträdet försmäktar; de som voro så hjärteglada sucka nu alla.
8 It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
Det är förbi med fröjden vid pukornas ljud, de gladas larm ha tystnat; det är förbi med fröjden vid harpans klang.
9 With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
Vin dricker man icke mer under sång, rusdrycken kännes bitter för dem som dricka den.
10 It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
Nedbruten ligger den öde staden; vart hus är stängt, så att ingen kommer därin.
11 An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
Därute höres klagorop över vinet; all glädje är såsom en nedgången sol, all jordens fröjd har flyktat.
12 It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
Ödeläggelse allenast är kvar i staden, och porten är slagen i spillror.
13 For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
Ty det måste så gå på jorden bland folken, såsom det går, när man slår ned oliver, såsom när man gör en efterskörd, sedan vinbärgningen är slut.
14 They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
Dessa häva då upp sin röst och jubla; fröjderop över HERRENS höghet ljuda borta i väster:
15 There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
"Ären därför HERREN i österns bygder, även i havsländerna HERRENS, Israels Guds, namn."
16 From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
Från jordens ända höra vi lovsånger: "En härlig lott får den rättfärdige!" Men jag säger: Jag arme, jag arme, ve mig! Härjare härja, ja härjande fara härjare fram.
17 Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
Faror, fallgropar och fällor vänta eder, I jordens inbyggare.
18 And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
Och om någon flyr undan farlighetsropen, så störtar han i fallgropen, och om han kommer upp ur fallgropen, så fångas han i fällan. Ty fönstren i höjden äro öppnade, och jordens grundvalar bäva.
19 Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
Jorden brister, ja, den brister; jorden rämnar, ja, den rämnar; jorden vacklar, ja, den vacklar;
20 Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
jorden raglar, ja, den raglar såsom en drucken; den gungar såsom vaktskjulet i trädets topp. Dess överträdelse vilar tung på den, och den faller och kan icke mer stå upp.
21 And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
På den tiden skall HERREN hemsöka höjdens här uppe i höjden och jordens konungar nere på jorden.
22 And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
Och de skola samlas tillhopa, såsom fångar hopsamlas i fånggropen, och skola inneslutas i fängelse; sent omsider når dem hemsökelsen.
23 And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
Då skall månen blygas och solen skämmas; ty HERREN Sebaot skall då vara konung på Sions berg och i Jerusalem, och hans äldste skola skåda härlighet.
