Isaiah 24
1 Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
He aquí que Yahvé devastará la tierra, y la dejará desolada, trastornará la superficie de ella y dispersará sus habitantes.
2 And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
Y será del pueblo como del sacerdote, del siervo como de su amo, de la sierva como de su dueña, del comprador como del vendedor, del que presta, como del que toma prestado, del acreedor como del deudor.
3 Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
La tierra será devastada y saqueada del todo, por cuanto Yahvé así lo ha decretado.
4 It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
La tierra se consume de luto, el orbe se deshace y se marchita; desfallecen los magnates de la tierra.
5 And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
La tierra está profanada por sus habitantes; pues han traspasado las leyes y violado los mandamientos, han quebrantado la alianza eterna.
6 There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
Por eso la maldición devora la tierra, y son culpables sus moradores; por eso serán consumidos los habitantes de la tierra, y quedará solamente un corto número.
7 It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
Llora el vino, languidece la cepa, gimen cuantos se alegraban de corazón.
8 It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
Ha cesado el júbilo del tamboril, se acabó la algazara de la gente alegre, ya no se oye más el alegre son de la cítara.
9 With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
No se bebe ya vino entre cantares, y las bebidas dulces son amargas para los bebedores.
10 It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
Devastada está la ciudad de la vanidad, cerrada toda casa, nadie puede entrar.
11 An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
Gritan por vino en las calles, ha desaparecido todo regocijo, desterrada está de la tierra la alegría,
12 It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
Lo que queda de la ciudad son escombros, y la puerta destruida, convertida en ruinas.
13 For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
En medio de la tierra, en medio de los pueblos (pasará esto): será como un olivo vareado, y como los rebuscos después de acabada la vendimia.
14 They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
Entonces levantarán su voz, y cantarán, aclamando la majestad de Yahvé desde el mar:
15 There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
“Glorificad a Yahvé en las regiones del Oriente, el nombre de Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, en las islas del mar.”
16 From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
Desde el extremo de la tierra oímos cantar: “Gloria al Justo.” Mas yo dije: “¡Estoy perdido! ¡perdido estoy! ¡Ay de mí!” Los prevaricadores prevarican, los prevaricadores siguen prevaricando.
17 Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
El espanto, la fosa y el lazo están sobre ti, oh morador de la tierra.
18 And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
El que huyere del grito de espanto, caerá en la fosa, y el que subiere de la fosa, será preso en el lazo; porque se abrirán las cataratas de lo alto y se conmoverán los cimientos de la tierra.
19 Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
La tierra se rompe con gran estruendo, la tierra se parte con estrépito, la tierra es sacudida con violencia,
20 Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
la tierra tambalea como un borracho; vacila como una choza; pesan sobre ella sus prevaricaciones; caerá, y no volverá a levantarse.
21 And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
En aquel día Yahvé juzgará a la milicia del cielo en lo alto, y aquí abajo a los reyes de la tierra.
22 And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
Serán juntados como se junta a los presos en la mazmorra, quedarán encerrados en el calabozo, y después de muchos días serán juzgados.
23 And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
La luna se enrojecerá y el sol se oscurecerá, porque Yahvé de los ejércitos reinará en el monte Sión y en Jerusalén, y delante de sus ancianos (resplandecerá) su gloria.
