Isaiah 23
1 [the] oracle of Tyre wail - O ships of Tarshish for it has been devastated from house from coming from [the] land of Cyprus it has been revealed to them.
Ausspruch über Tyrus. Heult, ihr Tarsisfahrer! denn eine Verwüstung ist angerichtet worden, daß es kein Haus, kein Unterkommen mehr giebt. Aus dem Lande der Kittiter ist es ihnen kund geworden.
2 Be silent O inhabitants of [the] coastland [the] trader of Sidon [who] passed over [the] sea they have filled you.
Verstummt, ihr Bewohner der Küste, die von den Kaufleuten Phöniziens, den Meerbefahrenden, belebt war,
3 And on waters many [was] [the] seed of Shihor [the] harvest of [the] River revenue her and it became [the] traffic of nations.
die auf dem großen Wasser die Aussaat des Sihor, die Ernte des Nils einheimste, daß sie zum Handelsgewinne der Völker ward!
4 Be ashamed O Sidon for it has said [the] sea [the] stronghold of the sea saying not I have been in labor and not I have given birth and not I have brought up young men I have raised young women.
Schäme dich, Phönizien! Denn das Meer, die Meeresfeste, spricht: Ich habe nicht in Wehen gelegen noch geboren! Ich habe nicht Jünglinge groß gezogen, noch Jungfrauen emporgebracht!
5 When a report [is] to Egypt people will be in anguish like [the] report of Tyre.
Wenn die Kunde zu den Ägyptern dringt, so geraten sie bei der Kunde über Tyrus in Zittern.
6 Pass over Tarshish towards wail O inhabitants of [the] coastland.
Wandert nach Tarsis hinüber! Heult, ihr Küstenbewohner!
7 ¿ [is] this Of you jubilant [city] [which is] from days of antiquity beginning its [which] they have carried it feet its from a distance to sojourn.
Ist das eure fröhliche Stadt, deren Ursprung in der Urzeit liegt, die ihre Füße weithin trugen, um sich anzusiedeln?
8 Who? did he plan this on Tyre which bestows crowns which traders its [were] princes merchants its [were the] honored [people] of [the] earth.
Wer hat solches über Tyrus beschlossen - die Kronenspenderin, deren Kaufleute Fürsten, deren Händler die Mächtigsten auf Erden waren?
9 Yahweh of hosts he planned it to profane [the] pride of all splendor to treat with contempt all [the] honored [people] of [the] earth.
Jahwe der Heerscharen hat es beschlossen, um jeglichen Schmuckbeladenen Stolz zu entweihen, um alle Mächtigsten auf Erden zu verunehren.
10 Pass over land your like the River O daughter of Tarshish there not [is] a restraint still.
Überströme dein Land gleich dem Nile, du Volk von Tarsis! Es beengt dich keine Fessel mehr!
11 Hand his he has stretched out over the sea he has made tremble kingdoms Yahweh he has commanded concerning Canaan to destroy strongholds its.
Er hat seine Hand über das Meer ausgestreckt, Königreiche erschüttert; Jahwe hat wider Kanaan Befehl gegeben, seine Bollwerke zu zerstören,
12 And he said not you will repeat again to exult O oppressed [one] [the] virgin of [the] daughter of Sidon (Cyprus *Q(k)*) arise pass over also there not it will be rest to you.
und hat gesprochen: Du sollst hinfort nicht mehr fröhlich sein, du geschändetes, einst jungfräuliches Phönizien! Auf! Begieb dich zu den Kittitern hinüber! Aber auch dort sollst du nicht Ruhe finden!
13 There! - [the] land of [the] Chaldeans this [is] the people [which] not it was Assyria it allocated it to desert-dwellers they raised up (siege-towers its *Q(k)*) they stripped bare palaces its it made it a ruin.
Da! Das Land der Chaldäer - das ist das Volk, das zu nicht geworden ist! Assur hat es den Wüstentieren angewiesen. Sie haben ihre Belagerungstürme errichtet, haben seine Paläste von Grund aus zerstört, haben es zu einem Trümmerhaufen gemacht.
14 Wail O ships of Tarshish for it has been devastated stronghold your.
Heult, ihr Tarsisfahrer, daß eure Feste verwüstet ist!
15 And it will be in the day that and [will be] forgotten Tyre seventy year[s] like [the] days of a king one from [the] end of seventy year[s] it will happen to Tyre like [the] song of the prostitute.
An jenem Tage wird Tyrus für siebzig Jahre in Vergessenheit geraten, wie die Regierung eines und desselben Königs. Nach Verlauf von siebzig Jahren aber wird es Tyrus ergehen, wie es im Liede von der Hure heißt:
16 Take a harp go around [the] city O prostitute forgotten do well to play multiply song so that you may be remembered.
Nimm die Leier, durchziehe die Stadt, vergessene Hure! Spiele schön, singe eifrig, damit man deiner gedenke!
17 And it will be from [the] end of - seventy year[s] he will visit Yahweh Tyre and it will return to hire its and it will act [the] prostitute with all [the] kingdoms of the earth on [the] surface of the earth.
Nach siebzig Jahren nämlich wird Jahwe Tyrus heimsuchen, daß es wieder zu seinem Buhlerlohnkommen und mit allen Reichen der Welt, die auf Erden sind, buhlen wird.
18 And it will be profit its and hire its a holy thing to Yahweh not it will be stored up and not it will be hoarded for to [those who] dwell before Yahweh it will belong profit its for eating to satiety and for covering magnificent.
Aber sein Gewinn und sein Buhlerlohn wird Jahwe geheiligt werden; man wird ihn nicht ansammeln und aufspeichern, sondern denen, die im Angesichte Jahwes wohnen, soll sein Gewinn zu reichlicher Nahrung und stattlicher Kleidung dienen.
