Isaiah 21
1 [the] oracle of [the] wilderness of [the] sea Like storm-winds in the south to sweep on from [the] wilderness [someone is] coming from a land to be feared.
Weissagung über die Meereswüste: Wie ein Sturm im Mittagslande braust es daher aus der Wüste, aus dem schrecklichen Land!
2 A vision severe it has been told to me the traitor - [is] acting treacherously and the destroyer - [is] destroying go up O Elam lay siege O Media all groaning its I will cause to cease.
Mir ist eine inhaltsschwere Offenbarung kundgetan worden: Der Räuber raubt, der Zerstörer zerstört. Brecht auf, ihr Perser, hebt die Belagerung an, ihr Meder! Denn alles von ihr verursachte Seufzen will ich stillen.
3 There-fore they are full loins my anguish pangs they have seized me like [the] pangs of [a woman who] gives birth I am bent over from hearing I am terrified from seeing.
Darum sind meine Lenden voll Schmerz; Wehen haben mich ergriffen, gleich den Wehen einer Mutter; ich krümme mich vor dem, was ich hören muß, bin erschrocken von dem, was ich sehen muß.
4 It has wandered heart my shuddering it has overwhelmed me [the] twilight of desire my it has made for me trembling.
Mein Herz klopft; Beben hat mich überfallen; die Dämmerung, die mir lieb ist, hat er mir in Schrecken verwandelt.
5 They are arranging the table they are spreading out the rug eating drinking arise O officials smear a shield.
Man deckt den Tisch, stellt die Wache aus, ißt und trinkt: «Auf ihr Fürsten, salbet den Schild!»
6 For thus he has said to me [the] Lord go station the watchman [that] which he will see let him tell.
Denn also hat mir der Herr befohlen: Gehe, bestelle den Wächter; er soll anzeigen, was er sieht!
7 And he will see a rider a pair of horses a rider of a donkey a rider of a camel and he will pay attention attentiveness greatness of attentiveness.
Da sah er Reiter, Doppelgespanne, Reiter auf Eseln und Reiter auf Kamelen; und er beobachtete scharf, mit größter Aufmerksamkeit.
8 And he called out a lion on a watchtower - O Lord I [am] standing continually by day and at post my I [am] stationed all the nights.
Und er schrie wie ein Löwe: Herr, ich stehe täglich immer auf meiner Warte und bin alle Nächte auf meinem Posten gestanden!
9 And there! this [is] coming a rider a man a pair of horses and he answered and he said it has fallen it has fallen Babylon and all [the] images of gods its someone has broken to the ground.
Siehe, da kam ein Reiter, ein Mann mit einem Doppelgespann, der hob an und sprach: Gefallen, gefallen ist Babel, und alle ihre Götzenbilder hat er zu Boden geschmettert!
10 O threshed one my and [the] son of threshing floor my [that] which I have heard from with Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel I have told to you.
O mein zerdroschenes [Volk], mein Tennensohn! Was ich von dem HERRN der Heerscharen, dem Gott Israels, gehört habe, das verkündige ich euch!
11 [the] oracle of Dumah to me [someone is] calling from Seir O watchman what? [is] from [the] night O watchman what? [is] from [the] night.
Weissagung über Duma: Aus Seir ruft man mir zu: Wächter, ist die Nacht bald hin? Wächter, ist die Nacht bald hin?
12 He says [the] watchman it will come morning and also night if you will enquire! enquire return come.
Der Wächter spricht: Der Morgen ist angebrochen, und doch ist es noch Nacht! Wenn ihr fragen wollt, so fragt; kommt bald wieder!
13 [the] oracle On Arabia in the thicket[s] in Arabia you will lodge O caravans of Dedanites.
Weissagung über Arabien: In der Wildnis von Arabien müßt ihr übernachten, ihr Karawanen der Dedaniter!
14 To meet [the] thirsty bring water O inhabitants of [the] land of Tema with bread his they met fugitive[s].
Bringet dem Durstigen Wasser entgegen, ihr Bewohner des Landes Tema! Bietet den Flüchtlingen Brot an!
15 For from before swords they have fled from before - a sword drawn and from before a bow bent and from before [the] weight of battle.
Denn vor den Schwertern sind sie geflohen, vor dem gezückten Schwerte, vor dem gespannten Bogen und vor dem harten Kriege.
16 For thus he has said [the] Lord to me in yet a year like [the] years of a hired laborer and it will be finished all [the] splendor of Kedar.
Denn also hat der Herr zu mir gesprochen: Noch ein Jahr, wie die Jahre eines Tagelöhners, so ist alle Herrlichkeit Kedars dahin;
17 And [the] remnant of a number of bowmen [the] warriors of [the] people of Kedar they will be few for Yahweh [the] God of Israel he has spoken.
und der übriggebliebenen tapfern Bogenschützen Kedars werden sehr wenige sein. Der HERR, der Gott Israels, hat es geredet.
