Hosea 5
1 Hear this O priests and pay attention - O house of Israel and O house of the king give ear for [belongs] to you the judgment for a trap you have been to Mizpah and a net spread out over Tabor.
Ecoutez ceci, ô prêtres, soyez attentifs, maison d’Israël, et vous, maison du roi, prêtez l’oreille! Car c’est vous qui êtes mis en cause. Aussi bien, vous avez été un piège pour Miçpah, un filet tendu sur le Thabor.
2 And slaughtering rebels they have made deep and I [am] discipline to all of them.
Vaste et profonde a été leur aberration, et moi je prépare leur châtiment à tous.
3 I I know Ephraim and Israel not it is hidden from me for now you have prostituted yourself O Ephraim it has made itself unclean Israel.
Je connais bien Ephraïm, et Israël ne peut se dérober à moi; oui, vraiment, tu t’es livré à la prostitution, ô Ephraïm, Israël s’est rendu impur.
4 Not they permit deeds their to return to God their for a spirit of prostitution [is] in inner being their and Yahweh not they know.
Leur manière d’agir ne leur permet pas de retourner à leur Dieu, car le goût de la prostitution règne au milieu d’eux, mais l’Eternel, ils ne le connaissent point.
5 And it testifies [the] pride of Israel in face its and Israel and Ephraim they will stumble on iniquity their it will stumble also Judah with them.
Aussi l’orgueil d’Israël sera-t-il humilié en sa présence; Israël et Ephraïm trébucheront à cause de leur iniquité, même Juda trébuchera avec eux.
6 With flock[s] their and with herd[s] their they will go to seek Yahweh and not they will find [him] he has withdrawn from them.
Avec leur menu et gros bétail, ils iront se mettre à la recherche de l’Eternel, mais ne le trouveront point! II s’est retiré d’eux.
7 With Yahweh they have dealt treacherously for children strange they have borne now it will devour them a new moon with portions their.
Ils ont trahi l’Eternel, car ils ont donné le jour à des enfants étrangers: maintenant il les consumera en un seul mois avec leurs biens.
8 Blow a horn in Gibeah a trumpet in Ramah sound an alarm Beth Aven after you O Benjamin.
Sonnez le chofar à Ghibea, la trompette à Rama, poussez des cris de guerre à Beth-Awên! Benjamin, on est derrière toi!
9 Ephraim a waste it will become on [the] day of rebuke among [the] tribes of Israel I make known [something] trustworthy.
Ephraïm sera réduit en ruines au jour de la répression, j’en fais l’annonce véridique parmi les tribus d’Israël.
10 They have become [the] leaders of Judah like [those who] displace a boundary on them I will pour out like water wrath my.
Les princes de Juda ont été de ceux qui reculent les bornes; sur eux je répandrai mon courroux comme l’eau.
11 [is] oppressed Ephraim [is] crushed of judgment for he was determined he walked after a command.
Ephraïm est accablé, écrasé à juste titre, puisqu’il s’est plu à suivre de vaines prescriptions.
12 And I [am] like moth to Ephraim and like rottenness to [the] house of Judah.
Aussi serai-je, moi, comme la teigne pour Ephraïm, comme un ver rongeur pour la maison de Juda.
13 And he saw Ephraim sickness his and Judah wound his and he went Ephraim to Assyria and he sent to king Jareb and he not he is able to heal you and not it will depart from you [the] wound.
Ephraïm s’est aperçu de son mal et Juda de sa plaie: Ephraïm est donc allé trouver Achour, il a envoyé une ambassade au roi Protecteur. Mais lui ne peut vous guérir ni soulager votre plaie.
14 For I [will be] like lion to Ephraim and like young lion to [the] house of Judah I I I will tear to pieces and I may go I will carry off and there not [will be] a deliverer.
Car moi, je suis comme un chacal pour Ephraïm et comme un lion pour la maison de Juda; moi, oui moi, je mets en pièces et me retire, j’emporte la proie, et personne ne peut me l’arracher.
15 I will go I will return to place my until that they will be held guilty and they will seek face my when it is distress to them they will seek earnestly me.
Je m’en vais reprendre le chemin de ma résidence, jusqu’à ce qu’ils s’avouent coupables et désirent ma présence: quand ils seront dans la détresse, ils me rechercheront.
