< Hosea 13 >
1 When spoke Ephraim trembling he lifted up he in Israel and he became guilty by Baal and he died.
When Ephraim, spake, there was terror, exalted was, he, in Israel, —but, when he became guilty with Baal, then he died.
2 And now - they increase to sin and they have made for themselves a molten image from silver their according to skill their idols [is the] work of craftsmen all of it of them they [are] saying [those who] offer sacrifice of humankind calves they will kiss!
Now, therefore they go on to sin, and have made them a Molten Thing out of their silver, after the notion of idols, the workmanship of craftsmen, all of it! Of them, are they saying—Ye sacrificers of men! The Great Calf, shall ye surely kiss!
3 Therefore they will become like a cloud of [the] morning and like dew rising early going like chaff [which] it is storm-driven from a threshing floor and like smoke from a window.
Therefore, shall they become like the morning cloud, and like the dew early departing, —like chaff storm-driven out of the threshing-floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 And I [am] Yahweh God your from [the] land of Egypt and gods besides me not you must know and [is] a deliverer there not except me.
Yet, I, Yahweh, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, —and, god beside me, shalt thou not acknowledge, for, saviour, is there none besides me.
5 I I knew you in the wilderness in a land of drought.
I, tended thee in the desert, —in a land parched with drought:
6 According to pasture their and they were satisfied they were satisfied and it was exalted heart their there-fore they forgot me.
Whenever they were pastured, then were they satisfied, They were satisfied, and their heart, was lifted up, —because of this, they forgat me.
7 And I became to them like a lion like a leopard on a road I will watch.
Therefore am I become to them as a lion, —As a leopard by the way, do I watch.
8 I will meet them like a bear robbed of cubs so I may tear [the] cavity of heart their and I will devour them there like a lion animal of the field it will tear to pieces them.
I will fall upon them as a bear bereaved, and will read asunder the enclosure of their heart, —that I may devour them there, like a lioness, the wild beast of the field, shall tear them in pieces.
9 It will destroy you O Israel for in me in helper your.
It hath utterly destroyed thee, O Israel, for it was against me, as thy helper!
10 Where? [is] king your then so he may save you in all cities your and rulers your whom you said give! to me a king and leaders.
Where is thy king, then, that he may save thee throughout all thy cities? and thy judges, concerning whom thou saidst, Oh give me a king and rulers?
11 I gave to you a king in anger my so I may take [him] away in wrath my.
I might give thee a king in mine anger, and take him away in my wrath.
12 [is] bound up [the] iniquity of Ephraim [is] stored up sin his.
Bound up, is the iniquity of Ephraim, stored away, his sin.
13 [the] pains of [one who] gives birth They will come to him he [is] a son not wise if a time not he will present himself at birth of children.
The pangs of a woman in labour, shall overtake him, —he, is a son, not wise, for, now, he cannot stand still, when children are about to be born.
14 From [the] hand of Sheol will I ransom? them from death will I redeem? them where? [are] thorns your O death where? [is] destruction your O Sheol compassion it will be hidden from eyes my. (Sheol )
Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol )
15 For he a son brothers he flourishes it will come an east wind [the] wind of Yahweh from [the] wilderness [is] about to come up and it may be withered spring his so it may be dried up spring his it it will plunder [the] treasury of every article of preciousness.
Though, he, among brethren, be fruitful, there shall come in an east wind, the blast of Yahweh out of the desert coming up, that his spring, may dry up, and his fountain, be exhausted, he, will rob the treasure-house of all the vessels of delight.
16 It will be held guilty Samaria for it has rebelled against God its by the sword they will fall children their they will be dashed in pieces and pregnant [women] its they will be ripped open.
Samaria, shall be held guilty, for she hath rebelled against her God, By the sword, shall they fall, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, and, his women with child, shall be ripped up.
