Hebrews 11
1 Is now faith of [things] hoped for [the] assurance, of things [the] conviction not being seen.
Ahora bien, nuestra fe en Dios es la seguridad de lo que esperamos, la evidencia de lo que no podemos ver.
2 In this for were commended the ancients.
Los que vivieron hace mucho tiempo, creyeron en Dios y eso fue lo que les hizo obtener la aprobación de Dios.
3 By faith we understand to have been formed the ages by declaration of God so that which not out of [things] being visible (the [thing] being seen *N(k)O*) becoming. (aiōn g165)
Mediante nuestra fe en Dios comprendemos que todo el universo fue creado por su mandato, y que lo que se ve fue hecho a partir de lo que no se puede ver. (aiōn g165)
4 By faith a more excellent sacrifice Abel than Cain offered to God, through which he was testified to be righteous bearing witness to the gifts of him (God; *NK(o)*) and through it having died still (he speaks. *N(k)O*)
Por la fe en Dios Abel ofreció a Dios mejor sacrificio que Caín, y por eso Dios lo señaló como alguien que vivía rectamente. Dios lo demostró al aceptar su ofrenda. Aunque Abel ha estado muerto por mucho tiempo, todavía Dios nos habla por medio de lo que él hizo.
5 By faith Enoch was translated not to see death and not was he found because took up him God; Before for the translation (of him *k*) he has been commended to have pleased God;
Por fe en Dios Enoc fue llevado al cielo para que no experimentara la muerte. Y no pudieron encontrarlo en la tierra porque fue llevado al cielo. Y antes de esto, a Enoc se le conocía como alguien que agradaba a Dios.
6 Without now faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]; To believe for it behooves the one drawing near to God that He exists and [that] to those earnestly seeking out Him a rewarder He becomes.
¡No podemos esperar que Dios se agrade de nosotros si no confiamos en él! Todo el que se acerca a Dios debe creer que él existe, y que recompensa a quienes lo buscan.
7 By faith having been divinely instructed Noah concerning the [things] not yet seen having been moved with fear he prepared an ark for [the] salvation of the household of him, through which he condemned the world and of the according to faith righteousness [that is] he became heir.
Noé creyó en Dios, y él mismo le advirtió sobre cosas que nunca antes habían sucedido. Y como Noé atendió lo que Dios le dijo, construyó un arca para salvar a su familia. Y por fe en Dios, Noé mostró que el mundo estaba equivocado, y recibió la recompensa de ser justificado por Dios.
8 By faith (the [one] *o*) being called Abraham obeyed to go out into (*k*) a place that he was going to receive for an inheritance and went out not knowing where he is going.
Por la fe en Dios Abraham obedeció cuando Dios lo llamó para ir a la tierra que él le daría. Y partió sin saber hacia dónde iba.
9 By faith he sojourned in (the *k*) land of the promise as [in] a foreign [country] in tents having dwelt with Isaac and Jacob the joint-heirs of the promise same;
Por fe en Dios vivió en la tierra prometida, pero como extranjero, viviendo en tiendas junto a Isaac y Jacob, quienes participaron con él al ser herederos de la misma promesa.
10 He was awaiting for the foundations having city of which [the] architect and builder [is] God.
Porque Abraham buscaba una ciudad construida sobre fundamentos duraderos, siendo Dios el constructor y hacedor de ella.
11 By faith also herself Sarah ([being] barren *N*) power for [the] conception of seed received even beyond [the] opportune age (she brought forth *K*) since faithful she considered the [One] having promised.
Por su fe en Dios, incluso la misma Sara pudo concebir un hijo aunque fuera muy vieja para hacerlo, pues creyó en Dios, que había hecho la promesa.
12 Therefore also from one man were born, and he as good as dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude and (as *N(k)O*) the sand by the shore of the sea countless.
Por eso, los descendientes de Abraham, (¡que ya estaba a punto de morir!), se volvieron numerosos como las estrellas del cielo e innumerables como la arena del mar.
13 In faith died these all not (having received *NK(O)*) the promises but from afar them having seen and (having been persuaded and *K*) having embraced [them] and having confessed that strangers and sojourners they are on the earth.
Y todos ellos murieron creyendo aún en Dios. Aunque no recibieron las cosas que Dios prometió, todavía las esperaban, como desde la distancia y lo aceptaron gustosos, sabiendo que eran extranjeros en esta tierra, pasajeros solamente.
14 Those for such things saying make manifest that their country they are seeking.
Quienes hablan de esta manera dejan ver que esperan un país que es de ellos.
15 And if indeed that [one] (they were remembering *NK(o)*) from where (they came out, *N(k)O*) they had then would opportunity to return;
Porque si les importara el país que habían dejado atrás, habrían regresado.
16 (now *N(k)O*) however to a better [one] they stretch forward to, That is to a heavenly [one]; Therefore not is ashamed of them God God to be called of them; He has prepared indeed for them a city.
Pero ellos esperan un mejor país, un país celestial. Por eso Dios no se defrauda de ellos, y se alegra de llamarse su Dios, porque él ha construido una ciudad para ellos.
17 By faith has offered up Abraham Isaac Being tested, even [his] only begotten [son] was offering up the [one] the promises having received,
Abraham creyó en Dios cuando fue puesto a prueba y ofreció a Isaac como ofrenda a Dios. Abraham, quien había aceptado las promesas de Dios, incluso estuvo listo para dar a su único hijo, como ofrenda
18 as to whom it was said that In Isaac will be reckoned your offspring;
aun cuando se le había dicho: “Por medio de Isaac se contará tu descendencia”.
19 having reasoned that even out from [the] dead to raise able [was] God, from where him also in a simile he received.
Abraham consideró las cosas y concluyó que Dios podía resucitar a Isaac de los muertos. Y en cierto modo eso fue lo que sucedió: Abraham recibió de vuelta a Isaac de entre los muertos.
20 By faith (also *no*) concerning [the things] coming blessed Isaac Jacob and Esau.
Por la fe en Dios, Isaac bendijo a Jacob y a Esaú, considerando lo que el futuro traería.
21 By faith Jacob dying each of the sons of Joseph blessed and worshiped on the top of the staff of him.
Confiando en Dios, Jacob, casi a punto de morir, bendijo a los hijos de José, y adoró a Dios apoyado en su bastón.
22 By faith Joseph dying concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel made mention and concerning the bones of him gave instructions.
Por fe en Dios, José, cuando se acercaba su hora de muerte también, habló sobre el éxodo de los israelitas, e instruyó sobre lo que debían hacer con sus huesos.
23 By faith Moses having been born he was hidden three months by the parents of him because they saw [was] beautiful the little child and not they did fear the edict of the king.
Por fe en Dios, los padres de Moisés lo ocultaron durante tres meses después de nacer. Reconocieron que era un niño especial. Y no temieron ir en contra de la orden que se había dado.
24 By faith Moses grown having become he refused to be named [the] son of [the] daughter of Pharaoh,
Por fe en Dios, Moisés, siendo ya adulto, se rehusó a ser conocido como el hijo adoptivo de la hija del Faraón.
25 rather having chosen to suffer affliction with the people of God than [the] temporary to have of sin enjoyment;
Sino que prefirió participar de los sufrimientos del pueblo de Dios antes que disfrutar los placeres pasajeros del pecado.
26 greater wealth having esteemed than that (in *k*) (Egypt *N(k)O*) treasures the reproach of Christ; he was looking for toward the reward.
Y consideró que el rechazo que experimentaría por seguir a Cristo sería de mayor valor que la riqueza de Egipto, porque estaba concentrado en la recompensa que vendría.
27 By faith he left Egypt not having feared the anger of the king; the for Invisible [One] as seeing he persevered.
Por fe en Dios, salió de Egipto y no tuvo temor de la ira del Faraón, sino que siguió adelante con sus ojos fijos en el Dios invisible.
28 By faith he has kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that not the [one] destroying the firstborn may touch them.
Por fe en Dios, Moisés observó la Pascua y la aspersión de la sangre en los dinteles, para que el ángel destructor no tocara a los israelitas.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry (land, *no*) which an attempt having made the Egyptians were swallowed up.
Por fe en Dios, los israelitas cruzaron en Mar Rojo como si caminaran por tierra seca. Y cuando los egipcios quisieron hacer lo mismo, murieron ahogados.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho (fell *N(k)O*) having been encircled for seven days.
Por la fe en Dios, los israelitas marcharon alrededor de los muros de Jericó durante siete días, y los muros cayeron.
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute not did perish with those having disobeyed having received the spies with peace.
Por fe en Dios, Rahab, la prostituta, no murió junto a los que rechazaban a Dios, porque había recibido a los espías israelitas en paz.
32 And what more shall I say? Will fail me for telling the time of Gideon, Barak, (both and *k*) Samson, (and *k*) Jephthah, David also and Samuel and the prophets;
¿Qué otro ejemplo podría mostrarles? El tiempo no me alcanza para hablar de Gedeón, Barac, Sansón, Jefté; o sobre David, Samuel y los profetas.
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut [the] mouths of lions,
Ellos, por su fe en Dios conquistaron reinos, hicieron lo recto, recibieron las promesas de Dios, cerraron la boca de leones,
34 quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] blades of [the] sword, (be empowered *N(k)O*) out of weakness, became mighty in war, [the] armies put to flight of foreigners.
apagaron incendios, escaparon de la muerte por espada, eran débiles pero se volvieron fuertes, lograron grandes cosas en guerras, y dirigieron ejércitos.
35 Received back women by resurrection the dead of them; others then were tortured not having accepted release, so that a better resurrection they may obtain;
Muchas mujeres recibieron a sus familiares con vida por medio de la resurrección. Otros fueron torturados, al negarse a rechazar a Dios para ser perdonados, porque querían ser parte de una mejor resurrección.
36 Others then of mockings and of scourgings trial received, in addition also of chains and imprisonment;
E incluso otros recibieron insultos y latigazos; y fueron encadenados y encarcelados.
37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two (tested *KO*) by slaughter of [the] sword they were killed; they wandered in sheepskins, in goats’ skins, being destitute, being oppressed, being mistreated,
Algunos fueron apedreados, tentados, muertos a espada. Algunos fueron vestidos con pieles de corderos y cabras: destituidos, oprimidos y maltratados.
38 of whom not was worthy the world; (in *N(k)O*) deserts wandering and in mountains and in caves and in the holes of the earth.
Les digo que el mundo no era digno de tener a tales personas errantes en los desiertos y montañas, viviendo en cuevas y en huecos debajo de la tierra.
39 And these all having been commended through the faith not did receive the promise
Todas estas personas, aunque tenían la aprobación de Dios, no recibieron lo que Dios había prometido.
40 God for us better something having planned, so that not apart from us they may be made perfect.
Él nos ha dado algo aún mejor, para que ellos no llegaran a la plenitud sin nosotros.
