Hebrews 11
1 Is now faith of [things] hoped for [the] assurance, of things [the] conviction not being seen.
A hit pedig a reménylett dolgoknak valósága, és a nem látott dolgokról való meggyőződés.
2 In this for were commended the ancients.
Mert ezzel szereztek jó bizonyságot a régebbiek.
3 By faith we understand to have been formed the ages by declaration of God so that which not out of [things] being visible (the [thing] being seen *N(k)O*) becoming. (aiōn g165)
Hit által értjük meg, hogy a világ Isten beszéde által teremtetett, hogy a mi látható, a láthatatlanból állott elő. (aiōn g165)
4 By faith a more excellent sacrifice Abel than Cain offered to God, through which he was testified to be righteous bearing witness to the gifts of him (God; *NK(o)*) and through it having died still (he speaks. *N(k)O*)
Hit által vitt Ábel becsesebb áldozatot Istennek, mint Kain, a mi által bizonyságot nyert a felől, hogy igaz, bizonyságot tevén az ő ajándékairól Isten, és az által még holta után is beszél.
5 By faith Enoch was translated not to see death and not was he found because took up him God; Before for the translation (of him *k*) he has been commended to have pleased God;
Hit által vitetett fel Énokh, hogy ne lásson halált, és nem találták meg, mert az Isten felvitte őt. Mert felvitetése előtt bizonyságot nyert a felől, hogy kedves volt Istennek.
6 Without now faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]; To believe for it behooves the one drawing near to God that He exists and [that] to those earnestly seeking out Him a rewarder He becomes.
Hit nélkül pedig lehetetlen Istennek tetszeni; mert a ki Isten elé járul, hinnie kell, hogy ő létezik és megjutalmazza azokat, a kik őt keresik.
7 By faith having been divinely instructed Noah concerning the [things] not yet seen having been moved with fear he prepared an ark for [the] salvation of the household of him, through which he condemned the world and of the according to faith righteousness [that is] he became heir.
Hit által tisztelte Istent Noé, mikor megintetvén a még nem látott dolgok felől, házanépe megtartására bárkát készített, a mely által kárhoztatá e világot és a hitből való igazságnak örökösévé lett.
8 By faith (the [one] *o*) being called Abraham obeyed to go out into (*k*) a place that he was going to receive for an inheritance and went out not knowing where he is going.
Hit által engedelmeskedett Ábrahám, mikor elhívatott, hogy menjen ki arra a helyre, a melyet örökölendő vala, és kiméne, nem tudván, hová megy.
9 By faith he sojourned in (the *k*) land of the promise as [in] a foreign [country] in tents having dwelt with Isaac and Jacob the joint-heirs of the promise same;
Hit által lakott az ígéret földén, mint idegenben, sátorokban lakván Izsákkal és Jákóbbal, ugyanazon ígéretnek örökös társaival.
10 He was awaiting for the foundations having city of which [the] architect and builder [is] God.
Mert várja vala az alapokkal bíró várost, melynek építője és alkotója az Isten.
11 By faith also herself Sarah ([being] barren *N*) power for [the] conception of seed received even beyond [the] opportune age (she brought forth *K*) since faithful she considered the [One] having promised.
Hit által nyert erőt Sára is az ő méhében való foganásra, és életkora ellenére szűlt, minthogy hűnek tartotta azt, a ki az ígéretet tette.
12 Therefore also from one man were born, and he as good as dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude and (as *N(k)O*) the sand by the shore of the sea countless.
Azért is egytől, még pedig mintegy kihalttól annyian származtak, mint az égnek csillagai sokaságra nézve, és mint a tenger partja mellett a fövény, mely megszámlálhatatlan.
13 In faith died these all not (having received *NK(O)*) the promises but from afar them having seen and (having been persuaded and *K*) having embraced [them] and having confessed that strangers and sojourners they are on the earth.
Hitben haltak meg mindezek, nem nyerve meg az ígéreteket, hanem csak távolról látva és üdvözölve azokat, és vallást tevén arról, hogy idegenek és vándorok a földön.
14 Those for such things saying make manifest that their country they are seeking.
Mert a kik így szólnak, nyilván jelentik, hogy hazát keresnek.
15 And if indeed that [one] (they were remembering *NK(o)*) from where (they came out, *N(k)O*) they had then would opportunity to return;
És hogyha eszökbe jutott volna az, a melyből kijöttek, volt volna idejök a visszatérésre.
16 (now *N(k)O*) however to a better [one] they stretch forward to, That is to a heavenly [one]; Therefore not is ashamed of them God God to be called of them; He has prepared indeed for them a city.
Így azonban jobb után vágyódnak, tudniillik mennyei után; azért nem szégyenli őket az Isten, hogy Istenöknek neveztessék, mert készített nékik várost.
17 By faith has offered up Abraham Isaac Being tested, even [his] only begotten [son] was offering up the [one] the promises having received,
Hit által áldozta meg Ábrahám Izsákot, próbára tétetvén, és az egyszülöttet vitte áldozatul, ő, ki az ígéreteket nyerte,
18 as to whom it was said that In Isaac will be reckoned your offspring;
A kinek meg volt mondva: Izsákban neveztetik néked mag;
19 having reasoned that even out from [the] dead to raise able [was] God, from where him also in a simile he received.
Úgy gondolkozván, hogy az Isten a halálból is képes feltámasztani, miért is őt példaképen visszanyerte.
20 By faith (also *no*) concerning [the things] coming blessed Isaac Jacob and Esau.
Hit által áldá meg a jövendőkre nézve Izsák Jákóbot és Ézsaut.
21 By faith Jacob dying each of the sons of Joseph blessed and worshiped on the top of the staff of him.
Hit által áldá meg a haldokló Jákób a József fiainak mindenikét, és botja végére hajolva imádkozott.
22 By faith Joseph dying concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel made mention and concerning the bones of him gave instructions.
Hit által emlékezett meg élete végén József az Izráel fiainak kimeneteléről, és az ő tetemeiről rendelkezett.
23 By faith Moses having been born he was hidden three months by the parents of him because they saw [was] beautiful the little child and not they did fear the edict of the king.
Hit által rejtegették Mózest az ő szülei születése után három hónapig, mivel látták, hogy kellemes a gyermek, és nem féltek a király parancsától.
24 By faith Moses grown having become he refused to be named [the] son of [the] daughter of Pharaoh,
Hit által tiltakozott Mózes, midőn felnövekedett, hogy a Faraó leánya fiának mondják,
25 rather having chosen to suffer affliction with the people of God than [the] temporary to have of sin enjoyment;
Inkább választván az Isten népével való együttnyomorgást, mint a bűnnek ideig-óráig való gyönyörűségét;
26 greater wealth having esteemed than that (in *k*) (Egypt *N(k)O*) treasures the reproach of Christ; he was looking for toward the reward.
Égyiptom kincseinél nagyobb gazdagságnak tartván Krisztus gyalázatát, mert a megjutalmazásra tekintett.
27 By faith he left Egypt not having feared the anger of the king; the for Invisible [One] as seeing he persevered.
Hit által hagyta oda Égyiptomot, nem félvén a király haragjától; mert erős szívű volt, mintha látta volna a láthatatlant.
28 By faith he has kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that not the [one] destroying the firstborn may touch them.
Hit által rendelte a páskát és a vérnek kiontását, hogy az öldöklő ne illesse az ő elsőszülötteiket.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry (land, *no*) which an attempt having made the Egyptians were swallowed up.
Hit által keltek át a veres tengeren, mint valami szárazföldön, a mit megpróbálván az égyiptomiak, elnyelettek.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho (fell *N(k)O*) having been encircled for seven days.
Hit által omlottak le Jérikónak kőfalai, midőn hét napig köröskörül járták.
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute not did perish with those having disobeyed having received the spies with peace.
Hit által nem veszett el Ráháb, a parázna nő az engedetlenekkel együtt, befogadván a kémeket békességgel.
32 And what more shall I say? Will fail me for telling the time of Gideon, Barak, (both and *k*) Samson, (and *k*) Jephthah, David also and Samuel and the prophets;
És mit mondjak még? Hiszen kifogynék az időből, ha szólnék Gedeonról, Bárákról, Sámsonról, Jeftéről, Dávidról, Sámuelről és a prófétákról;
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut [the] mouths of lions,
A kik hit által országokat győztek le, igazságot cselekedtek, az ígéreteket elnyerték, az oroszlánok száját betömték.
34 quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] blades of [the] sword, (be empowered *N(k)O*) out of weakness, became mighty in war, [the] armies put to flight of foreigners.
Megoltották a tűznek erejét, megmenekedtek a kard élitől, felerősödtek a betegségből, erősek lettek a háborúban, megszalasztották az idegenek táborait.
35 Received back women by resurrection the dead of them; others then were tortured not having accepted release, so that a better resurrection they may obtain;
Asszonyok feltámadás útján visszanyerték halottjaikat; mások kínpadra vonattak, visszautasítván a szabadulást, hogy becsesebb feltámadásban részesüljenek.
36 Others then of mockings and of scourgings trial received, in addition also of chains and imprisonment;
Mások pedig megcsúfoltatások és megostoroztatások próbáját állották ki, sőt még bilincseket és börtönt is;
37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two (tested *KO*) by slaughter of [the] sword they were killed; they wandered in sheepskins, in goats’ skins, being destitute, being oppressed, being mistreated,
Megköveztettek, kínpróbát szenvedtek, szétfűrészeltettek, kardra hányattak, juhoknak és kecskéknek bőrében bujdostak, nélkülözve, nyomorgattatva, gyötörtetve,
38 of whom not was worthy the world; (in *N(k)O*) deserts wandering and in mountains and in caves and in the holes of the earth.
A kikre nem volt méltó e világ, bujdosva pusztákon és hegyeken, meg barlangokban és a földnek hasadékaiban.
39 And these all having been commended through the faith not did receive the promise
És mindezek, noha hit által jó bizonyságot nyertek, nem kapták meg az ígéretet.
40 God for us better something having planned, so that not apart from us they may be made perfect.
Mivel Isten mi felőlünk valami jobbról gondoskodott, hogy nálunk nélkül tökéletességre ne jussanak.
