< Hebrews 11 >
1 Is now faith of [things] hoped for [the] assurance, of things [the] conviction not being seen.
ⲁ̅ⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲦⲀϪⲢⲞ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲈⲢϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲢⲈϤⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲤⲈⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ.
2 In this for were commended the ancients.
ⲃ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀ ⲚⲒⲠⲢⲈⲤⲂⲨⲦⲈⲢⲞⲤ.
3 By faith we understand to have been formed the ages by declaration of God so that which not out of [things] being visible (the [thing] being seen *N(k)O*) becoming. (aiōn )
ⲅ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲦⲈⲚⲔⲀϮ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲤⲞⲂϮ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϪⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲚ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ. (aiōn )
4 By faith a more excellent sacrifice Abel than Cain offered to God, through which he was testified to be righteous bearing witness to the gifts of him (God; *NK(o)*) and through it having died still (he speaks. *N(k)O*)
ⲇ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀⲂⲈⲖ ⲀϤⲈⲚ ϨⲞⲨⲞ ϢⲞⲨϢⲰⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲔⲀⲒⲚ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲈϤⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ ϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲞⲚ.
5 By faith Enoch was translated not to see death and not was he found because took up him God; Before for the translation (of him *k*) he has been commended to have pleased God;
ⲉ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲚⲰⲬ ⲀⲨⲞⲨⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϢⲦⲈⲘⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲒⲘⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲀⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲀϪⲰϤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲢⲀⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
6 Without now faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]; To believe for it behooves the one drawing near to God that He exists and [that] to those earnestly seeking out Him a rewarder He becomes.
ⲋ̅ⲀⲦϬⲚⲈ ⲚⲀϨϮ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲈⲢⲀⲚⲀϤ ⲤϢⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲎ ⲞⲨ ϨⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϪⲈ ϤϢⲞⲠ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲢⲈϤϮⲂⲈⲬⲈ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲰϤ.
7 By faith having been divinely instructed Noah concerning the [things] not yet seen having been moved with fear he prepared an ark for [the] salvation of the household of him, through which he condemned the world and of the according to faith righteousness [that is] he became heir.
ⲍ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲰⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲦⲀⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲚⲔ ⲚⲞⲨⲔⲨⲂⲰⲦⲞⲤ ⲈⲨⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈϤⲎⲒ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢⲔⲀⲦⲀⲔⲢⲒⲚⲒⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲀϨϮ.
8 By faith (the [one] *o*) being called Abraham obeyed to go out into (*k*) a place that he was going to receive for an inheritance and went out not knowing where he is going.
ⲏ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲚⲀϬ ⲒⲦϤ ⲚⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲒⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲈⲐⲰⲚ.
9 By faith he sojourned in (the *k*) land of the promise as [in] a foreign [country] in tents having dwelt with Isaac and Jacob the joint-heirs of the promise same;
ⲑ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲢⲈⲘⲚϪⲰⲒⲖⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲈⲠⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲀ ϨⲰⲤ ⲘⲪⲰϤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲔⲎⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲚⲒϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲚⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲒⲰϢ ⲢⲰ.
10 He was awaiting for the foundations having city of which [the] architect and builder [is] God.
ⲓ̅ⲚⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲚϮⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲀⲤ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲈⲚϮ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲈⲤⲦⲈⲬⲚⲒⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲤⲢⲈϤⲐⲀⲘⲒⲞ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
11 By faith also herself Sarah ([being] barren *N*) power for [the] conception of seed received even beyond [the] opportune age (she brought forth *K*) since faithful she considered the [One] having promised.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲐⲞⲤ ϨⲰⲤ ⲤⲀⲢⲢⲀ ϮⲀϬⲢⲎⲚ ⲀⲤϬⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϪⲞⲘ ⲈⲠⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨϪⲢⲞϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲠⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲤⲘⲀⲒⲎ ⲈⲠⲒⲆⲎ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲈⲚϨⲞⲦ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲰϢ.
12 Therefore also from one man were born, and he as good as dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude and (as *N(k)O*) the sand by the shore of the sea countless.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲨⲘⲀⲤⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲔⲈ ⲦⲀⲨⲦⲀ ⲈⲀϤⲰϪϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲤⲰⲘⲀ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲒⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲞⲨⲀϢⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲘⲠⲒϢⲰ ⲈⲦϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲚⲤⲪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲘⲪⲒⲞⲘ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲨϬⲒⲎⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
13 In faith died these all not (having received *NK(O)*) the promises but from afar them having seen and (having been persuaded and *K*) having embraced [them] and having confessed that strangers and sojourners they are on the earth.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϬⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲈⲠⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲀ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲪⲞⲨⲈⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲀⲤⲠⲀⲌⲈⲤⲐⲈ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ϨⲀⲚϢⲈⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲢⲈⲘⲚϪⲰⲒⲖⲒ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ.
14 Those for such things saying make manifest that their country they are seeking.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲚⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦϪⲰ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲤⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲞⲨⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲘⲀ ⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ.
15 And if indeed that [one] (they were remembering *NK(o)*) from where (they came out, *N(k)O*) they had then would opportunity to return;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲚⲀⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲤ ⲒⲈ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲞⲨ ⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲐⲞ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ.
16 (now *N(k)O*) however to a better [one] they stretch forward to, That is to a heavenly [one]; Therefore not is ashamed of them God God to be called of them; He has prepared indeed for them a city.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲤⲈⲈⲢⲈⲠⲒⲐⲨⲘⲒⲚ ⲈⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲤⲞⲦⲠ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲐⲀ ⲦⲪⲈ ⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲚϤϢⲒⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲐⲢⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲤⲞⲂϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲞⲨⲂⲀⲔⲒ.
17 By faith has offered up Abraham Isaac Being tested, even [his] only begotten [son] was offering up the [one] the promises having received,
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲢⲠⲒⲢⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤϢⲈⲠ ⲚⲒⲰϢ ⲈⲢⲞϤ
18 as to whom it was said that In Isaac will be reckoned your offspring;
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲈⲨⲈⲐⲀϨⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϪⲢⲞϪ ⲚⲀⲔ.
19 having reasoned that even out from [the] dead to raise able [was] God, from where him also in a simile he received.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲞⲤϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀϤϬⲒⲦϤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲀⲢⲀⲂⲞⲖⲎ.
20 By faith (also *no*) concerning [the things] coming blessed Isaac Jacob and Esau.
ⲕ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲀϤⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲈⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲎⲤⲀⲨ.
21 By faith Jacob dying each of the sons of Joseph blessed and worshiped on the top of the staff of him.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲈϤⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲪⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲪⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲚⲈⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲰϢⲦ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ϨⲐⲎϤ ⲘⲠⲈϤϢⲪⲰⲦ.
22 By faith Joseph dying concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel made mention and concerning the bones of him gave instructions.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲈϤⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲪⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲘⲠϪⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲚⲈⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϨⲞⲚϨⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲈϤⲔⲀⲤ.
23 By faith Moses having been born he was hidden three months by the parents of him because they saw [was] beautiful the little child and not they did fear the edict of the king.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲘⲀⲤϤ ⲀⲨⲬⲞⲠϤ ⲚⲄ ⲚⲀⲂⲞⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲒⲞϮ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲒⲀⲖⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲤⲦⲒⲞⲤ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲘⲠⲒϨⲰⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ.
24 By faith Moses grown having become he refused to be named [the] son of [the] daughter of Pharaoh,
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢⲚⲒϢϮ ⲀϤϪⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϢⲦⲈⲘⲈⲐⲢⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦϢⲈⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲀⲢⲀⲰ.
25 rather having chosen to suffer affliction with the people of God than [the] temporary to have of sin enjoyment;
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲈⲀϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈϢⲈⲠⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒⲘⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲠⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲤⲎⲞⲨ.
26 greater wealth having esteemed than that (in *k*) (Egypt *N(k)O*) treasures the reproach of Christ; he was looking for toward the reward.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲈⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲠϢⲰϢ ⲘⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲢⲀⲘⲀⲞ ⲈⲚⲀⲀⲤ ⲦⲈ ⲈϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲚⲒⲀϨⲰⲢ ⲚⲦⲈⲬⲎⲘⲒ ⲈⲚⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲘⲠⲒϢⲈⲂⲒⲈ ⲂⲈⲬⲈ.
27 By faith he left Egypt not having feared the anger of the king; the for Invisible [One] as seeing he persevered.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀϤⲬⲀ ⲬⲎⲘⲒ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲂⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲠⲒⲀⲐⲚⲀⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
28 By faith he has kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that not the [one] destroying the firstborn may touch them.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲪⲰⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲤⲚⲞϤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϢⲦⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲢⲈϤⲦⲀⲔⲞ ϬⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲘⲘⲒⲤⲒ.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry (land, *no*) which an attempt having made the Egyptians were swallowed up.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀⲨⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲒⲞⲘ ⲚϢⲀⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲈϤϢⲞⲨⲰⲞⲨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨϬⲒⲠⲒⲢⲀ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲢⲈⲘⲚⲬⲎ ⲘⲒ ⲀⲨⲰⲘⲤ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho (fell *N(k)O*) having been encircled for seven days.
ⲗ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲒⲤⲞⲂⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲈⲢⲒⲬⲰ ⲀⲨϨⲈⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲌ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ.
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute not did perish with those having disobeyed having received the spies with peace.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲢⲀⲀⲂ ϮⲠⲞⲢⲚⲎ ⲘⲠⲈⲤⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲀⲦⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϢⲎ ⲠⲚⲒϪⲎⲢ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϨⲒⲢⲎⲚⲎ.
32 And what more shall I say? Will fail me for telling the time of Gideon, Barak, (both and *k*) Samson, (and *k*) Jephthah, David also and Samuel and the prophets;
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲀϪⲞⲤ ⲞⲚ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈⲘⲞⲨⲚⲔ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲒⲪⲒⲢⲒ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲄⲈⲆⲈⲰⲚ ⲂⲀⲢⲀⲔ ⲤⲀⲘⲮⲰⲘ ⲒⲈⲪⲐⲀⲒⲈ ⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲤⲀⲘⲞⲨⲎⲖ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲔⲈⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ.
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut [the] mouths of lions,
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀⲨϬⲢⲞ ⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢϨⲰⲂ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎ ⲒⲀ ⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ϬⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲰϢ ⲀⲨⲐⲰⲘ ⲚⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲘⲞⲨⲒ.
34 quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] blades of [the] sword, (be empowered *N(k)O*) out of weakness, became mighty in war, [the] armies put to flight of foreigners.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲀⲨⲰϢⲈⲘ ⲈⲦϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲬⲢⲰⲘ ⲀⲨⲪⲰⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲀⲨϪⲈⲘϪⲞⲘ ϦⲈⲚⲠϢⲰⲚⲒ ⲀⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲞⲢ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲠⲞⲖⲈⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲨⲢⲒⲔⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲠⲀⲢⲈⲘⲂⲞⲖⲎ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚϢⲈⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ.
35 Received back women by resurrection the dead of them; others then were tortured not having accepted release, so that a better resurrection they may obtain;
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲀⲨϬⲒ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚϨⲒⲞⲘⲒ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲢⲈϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬ ⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲀⲨⲞⲨⲈϢⲞⲨⲰϢⲞⲨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲘⲔⲈⲘ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϢⲈⲠ ⲠⲒⲤⲰϮ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ϬⲒ ⲚϮⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ⲈⲦⲤⲞⲦⲠ.
36 Others then of mockings and of scourgings trial received, in addition also of chains and imprisonment;
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲰⲂⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲘⲈⲤⲦⲒⲄⲄⲞⲤ ⲀⲨϬⲒⲠⲒⲢⲀ ⲈⲦⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲤⲚⲀⲨϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϢⲦⲈⲔⲰⲞⲨ.
37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two (tested *KO*) by slaughter of [the] sword they were killed; they wandered in sheepskins, in goats’ skins, being destitute, being oppressed, being mistreated,
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲀⲨϨⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲂⲀⲤⲞⲨ ⲚⲐⲂⲀϢⲞⲨⲢ ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲠⲒⲢⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲘⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲚⲦⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲀⲨⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲘⲈⲖⲰⲦⲎ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚϢⲀⲢ ⲘⲂⲀⲈⲘⲠⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲢϦⲀⲈ ⲈⲨϨⲈϪϨⲰϪ ⲈⲨϬⲒⲘⲔⲀϨ.
38 of whom not was worthy the world; (in *N(k)O*) deserts wandering and in mountains and in caves and in the holes of the earth.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲨⲤⲰⲢⲈⲘ ϨⲒ ⲚⲒϢⲀϤⲈⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲂⲎⲂ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲬⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ.
39 And these all having been commended through the faith not did receive the promise
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ϦⲀⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲚⲀϨϮ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲰϢ.
40 God for us better something having planned, so that not apart from us they may be made perfect.
ⲙ̅ⲈⲀϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲰⲂ ⲈϤⲤⲞⲦⲠ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈϢⲦⲈⲘϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲦϬⲚⲞⲨⲚ.
