Genesis 8

1 And he remembered God Noah and every animal and all the livestock which [were] with him in the ark and he made to pass God a wind over the earth and they subsided the waters.

Maka Allah mengingat Nuh dan segala binatang liar dan segala ternak, yang bersama-sama dengan dia dalam bahtera itu, dan Allah membuat angin menghembus melalui bumi, sehingga air itu turun.

2 And they were shut up [the] springs of [the] deep and [the] floodgates of the heavens and it was restrained the rain from the heavens.

Ditutuplah mata-mata air samudera raya serta tingkap-tingkap di langit dan berhentilah hujan lebat dari langit,

3 And they turned back the waters from on the earth going and turning back and they decreased the waters from [the] end of fifty and one hundred day[s].

dan makin surutlah air itu dari muka bumi. Demikianlah berkurang air itu sesudah seratus lima puluh hari.

4 And it rested the ark in the month seventh on [the] seven-teen day of the month on [the] mountains of Ararat.

Dalam bulan yang ketujuh, pada hari yang ketujuh belas bulan itu, terkandaslah bahtera itu pada pegunungan Ararat.

5 And the waters they were going and decreasing until the month tenth in the tenth [month] on [day] one of the month they were seen [the] tops of the mountains.

Sampai bulan yang kesepuluh makin berkuranglah air itu; dalam bulan yang kesepuluh, pada tanggal satu bulan itu, tampaklah puncak-puncak gunung.

6 And it was from [the] end of forty day[s] and he opened Noah [the] window of the ark which he had made.

Sesudah lewat empat puluh hari, maka Nuh membuka tingkap yang dibuatnya pada bahtera itu.

7 And he sent out the raven and it went out continuously and returned until dried up the waters from on the earth.

Lalu ia melepaskan seekor burung gagak; dan burung itu terbang pulang pergi, sampai air itu menjadi kering dari atas bumi.

8 And he sent out the dove from with him to see ¿ were they abated the waters from on [the] surface of the ground.

Kemudian dilepaskannya seekor burung merpati untuk melihat, apakah air itu telah berkurang dari muka bumi.

9 And not found the dove a resting place for [the] sole of foot its and it returned to him into the ark for water [was] on [the] surface of all the earth and he stretched out hand his and he took it and he brought it to him into the ark.

Tetapi burung merpati itu tidak mendapat tempat tumpuan kakinya dan pulanglah ia kembali mendapatkan Nuh ke dalam bahtera itu, karena di seluruh bumi masih ada air; lalu Nuh mengulurkan tangannya, ditangkapnya burung itu dan dibawanya masuk ke dalam bahtera.

10 And he waited again seven days other and he repeated to send out the dove from the ark.

Ia menunggu tujuh hari lagi, kemudian dilepaskannya pula burung merpati itu dari bahtera;

11 And it came to him the dove to [the] time of evening and there! a leaf of olive freshly plucked [was] in mouth its and he knew Noah that they were abated the waters from on the earth.

menjelang waktu senja pulanglah burung merpati itu mendapatkan Nuh, dan pada paruhnya dibawanya sehelai daun zaitun yang segar. Dari situlah diketahui Nuh, bahwa air itu telah berkurang dari atas bumi.

12 And he waited again seven days other and he sent out the dove and not it repeated to return to him again.

Selanjutnya ditunggunya pula tujuh hari lagi, kemudian dilepaskannya burung merpati itu, tetapi burung itu tidak kembali lagi kepadanya.

13 And it was in one and six hundred year in the first [month] on [day] one of the month they were dried up the waters from on the earth and he removed Noah [the] covering of the ark and he saw and there! they were dried up [the] surface of the ground.

Dalam tahun keenam ratus satu, dalam bulan pertama, pada tanggal satu bulan itu, sudahlah kering air itu dari atas bumi; kemudian Nuh membuka tutup bahtera itu dan melihat-lihat; ternyatalah muka bumi sudah mulai kering.

14 And in the month second on [the] seven and twenty day of the month was dry the earth.

Dalam bulan kedua, pada hari yang kedua puluh tujuh bulan itu, bumi telah kering.

15 And he spoke God to Noah saying.

Lalu berfirmanlah Allah kepada Nuh:

16 Go out from the ark you and wife your and sons your and [the] wives of sons your with you.

"Keluarlah dari bahtera itu, engkau bersama-sama dengan isterimu serta anak-anakmu dan isteri anak-anakmu;

17 Every animal which [is] with you some of all flesh among the bird[s] and among the livestock and among every creeping thing which creeps on the earth (bring out *Q(k)*) with you and they will swarm on the earth and they will be fruitful and they will multiply on the earth.

segala binatang yang bersama-sama dengan engkau, segala yang hidup: burung-burung, hewan dan segala binatang melata yang merayap di bumi, suruhlah keluar bersama-sama dengan engkau, supaya semuanya itu berkeriapan di bumi serta berkembang biak dan bertambah banyak di bumi."

18 And he went out Noah and sons his and wife his and [the] wives of sons his with him.

Lalu keluarlah Nuh bersama-sama dengan anak-anaknya dan isterinya dan isteri anak-anaknya.

19 Every animal every creeping thing and every bird every creeping [thing] on the earth to families their they went out from the ark.

Segala binatang liar, segala binatang melata dan segala burung, semuanya yang bergerak di bumi, masing-masing menurut jenisnya, keluarlah juga dari bahtera itu.

20 And he built Noah an altar to Yahweh and he took some of all - the livestock clean and some of every bird clean and he offered up burnt offerings on the altar.

Lalu Nuh mendirikan mezbah bagi TUHAN; dari segala binatang yang tidak haram dan dari segala burung yang tidak haram diambilnyalah beberapa ekor, lalu ia mempersembahkan korban bakaran di atas mezbah itu.

21 And he smelled Yahweh [the] odor of soothing and he said Yahweh to heart his not I will repeat to curse again the ground for sake of humankind for [the] inclination of [the] heart of humankind [is] evil since youth his and not I will repeat again to strike down every living [thing] just as I have done.

Ketika TUHAN mencium persembahan yang harum itu, berfirmanlah TUHAN dalam hati-Nya: "Aku takkan mengutuk bumi ini lagi karena manusia, sekalipun yang ditimbulkan hatinya adalah jahat dari sejak kecilnya, dan Aku takkan membinasakan lagi segala yang hidup seperti yang telah Kulakukan.

22 Again all [the] days of the earth seed and harvest and cold and heat and summer and winter and day and night not they will cease.

Selama bumi masih ada, takkan berhenti-henti musim menabur dan menuai, dingin dan panas, kemarau dan hujan, siang dan malam."

A Dove is Sent Forth from the Ark
