Genesis 7
1 And he said Yahweh to Noah go you and all household your into the ark for you I have seen righteous before me in the generation this.
Yahwe akamwambia Nuhu, “Njoo, wewe na nyumba yako wote, katika safina, kwa kuwa nimeona kuwa wewe ni mwenye haki mbele yangu katika kizazi hiki.
2 Of all - the livestock clean you will take for yourself seven seven a male and female its and of the animal[s] which not [is] clean it two a male and female its.
Kwa kila mnyama aliye safi utakuja nao saba wa kiume na saba wa kike. Na kwa wanyama wasio safi, lete wawili wawili, wakiume na wakike.
3 Also of [the] bird[s] of the heavens seven seven male and female to preserve alive offspring on [the] surface of all the earth.
Pia na kwa ndege wa angani, lete saba wa kiume na saba wa kike, ili kuhifadhi kizazi chao juu ya uso wa nchi yote.
4 For to days yet seven I [am] about to bring rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s] and I will wipe all the existence which I have made from on [the] surface of the ground.
Kwa kuwa ndani ya siku saba nitasababisha mvua kunyesha juu ya nchi muda wa siku arobaini mchana na usiku. Nitaharibu kila kiumbe hai nilichokiumba juu ya uso wa ardhi.”
5 And he did Noah according to all that he commanded him Yahweh.
Nuhu alifanya yote ambayo Yahwe alimuagiza.
6 And Noah [was] a son of six hundred year[s] and the flood was water on the earth.
Nuhu alikuwa na umri wa miaka mia sita wakati gharika ilipokuja juu ya nchi.
7 And he went Noah and sons his and wife his and [the] wives of sons his with him into the ark because of [the] waters of the flood.
Nuhu, watoto wake wa kiume, mke wake, na wake za watoto wake waliingia katika safina pamoja kwa sababu ya maji ya gharika.
8 Of the animal[s] clean and of the animal[s] which not [was] it clean and of the bird[s] and all that [was] creeping on the ground.
Wanyama ambao ni safi na wanyama ambao si safi, ndege, na kila kitambaacho juu ya ardhi,
9 Two two they came to Noah into the ark male and female just as he had commanded God Noah.
wawili wawili mume na mke wakaja kwa Nuhu na wakaingia katika safina, kama vile Mungu alivyokuwa amemwagiza Nuhu.
10 And it was to [the] seven the days and [the] waters of the flood they were on the earth.
Ikawa kwamba baada ya siku saba, maji ya gharika yakaja juu ya nchi.
11 In year six hundred year of [the] life of Noah in the month second on [the] seven-teen day of the month on the day this they were split open all [the] springs of [the] deep great and [the] floodgates of the heavens they were opened.
Katika mwaka wa mia sita wa maisha yake Nuhu, katika mwezi wa pili, katika siku ya kumi na saba ya mwezi, katika siku iyo hiyo, chemchemi zote za vilindi vikuu zilipasuka na kufunguka, na madirisha ya mbinguni yakafunguka.
12 And it was the rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s].
Mvua ikaanza kunyesha juu ya nchi kwa siku arobaini mchana na usiku.
13 On [the] substance of the day this he went Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth [the] sons of Noah and [the] wife of Noah and [the] three [the] wives of sons his with them into the ark.
Katika siku iyo hiyo Nuhu pamoja na watoto wake, Shem, Ham, na Yafethi na mke wa Nuhu, na wale wake watatu wa wana wa Nuhu pamoja waliingia katika safina.
14 They and every animal to kind its and all the livestock to kind its and every creeping thing which creeps on the earth to kind its and every bird to kind its every bird every wing.
Waliingia pamoja na kila mnyama wa mwitu kwa jinsi yake, na kila mnyama wa kufugwa kwa jinsi yake, na kila kitambaacho juu ya ardhi kwa jinsi yake, na kila aina ya ndege kwa jinsi yake, kila aina ya kiumbe chenye mabawa.
15 And they came to Noah into the ark two two of all flesh which [was] in it [the] breath of life.
Viwili viwili katika kila chenye mwili ambacho kilikuwa na pumzi ya uhai kilikuja kwa Nuhu na kuingia katika safina.
16 And those [which] came male and female of all flesh they came just as he had commanded him God and he closed Yahweh behind him.
Wanyama walioingia ndani walikuwa wakiume na kike katika wote wenye mwili; wakaingia kama vile Mungu alivyokuwa amemwagiza. Kisha Yahwe akawafungia mlango.
17 And it was the flood forty day[s] on the earth and they increased the waters and they lifted the ark and it rose from on the earth.
Kisha gharika ikaja juu ya nchi kwa siku arobaini, na maji yakaongezeka na kuinua safina juu ya nchi.
18 And they increased the waters and they increased exceedingly on the earth and it went the ark on [the] surface of the waters.
Maji yakafunika kabisa nchi, na safina ikaelea juu ya uso wa maji.
19 And the waters they increased exceedingly exceedingly on the earth and they were covered all the mountains high which [were] under all the heavens.
Maji yakaongezeka zaidi juu ya nchi kiasi kwamba milima yote mirefu ambayo ilikuwa chini ya anga ikafunikwa.
20 Fif-teen cubit[s] from to above they increased the waters and they were covered the mountains.
Maji yakaongezeka dhiraa kumi na tano juu ya vilele vya milima.
21 And it died all flesh - which crept on the earth among the bird[s] and among the livestock and among the animal[s] and among every swarming thing which swarms on the earth and every human.
Vitu vyote vyenye uhai ambavyo vilitembea juu ya nchi vilikufa: ndege, mifugo, wanyama wa mwituni, viumbe hai vyote kwa wingi vilivyoishi juu ya nchi, pamoja na watu.
22 All that [the] breath of [the] breath of life [was] in nostrils its from all that [was] on the dry ground they died.
Viumbe hai vyote ambavyo vilikaa juu ya ardhi, vilivyo pumua pumzi ya uhai kwa njia ya pua, vilikufa.
23 And he wiped out all the existence - which - [was] on [the] surface of the ground from humankind unto animal[s] unto creeping thing[s] and unto [the] bird[s] of the heavens and they were wiped out from the earth and he was left only Noah and which [were] with him in the ark.
Hivyo kila kilichokuwa hai ambacho kilikuwa juu ya uso wa mchi kilifutwa, kuanzia watu mpaka wanyama wakubwa, mpaka vitambaavyo, na mpaka ndege wa angani. Vyote viliangamizwa kutoka kwenye nchi. Nuhu tu pamoja na wale waliokuwa naye kwenye safina ndio walisalia.
24 And they increased the waters on the earth fifty and one hundred day[s].
Maji haya kuzama chini ya nchi kwa muda wa siku miamoja na hamsini.
