Genesis 7
1 And he said Yahweh to Noah go you and all household your into the ark for you I have seen righteous before me in the generation this.
Toen sprak Jahweh tot Noë: Ga met uw gezin in de ark, want Ik heb u rechtvaardig voor mijn aanschijn bevonden te midden van dit geslacht.
2 Of all - the livestock clean you will take for yourself seven seven a male and female its and of the animal[s] which not [is] clean it two a male and female its.
Neem van alle reine dieren zeven paar mee, telkens mannetjes met hun wijfjes, maar van de onreine dieren een enkel paar, eveneens mannetje en wijfje;
3 Also of [the] bird[s] of the heavens seven seven male and female to preserve alive offspring on [the] surface of all the earth.
ook van de vogels in de lucht zeven paar, de mannetjes met hun wijfjes: om hun soort in stand te houden over de hele aarde.
4 For to days yet seven I [am] about to bring rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s] and I will wipe all the existence which I have made from on [the] surface of the ground.
Want over zeven dagen zal Ik het op aarde doen stortregenen, veertig dagen en veertig nachten; en al wat leeft, en wat Ik gemaakt heb, zal Ik van de aarde verdelgen.
5 And he did Noah according to all that he commanded him Yahweh.
En Noë deed alles, wat Jahweh hem bevolen had.
6 And Noah [was] a son of six hundred year[s] and the flood was water on the earth.
Noë was zeshonderd jaar oud, toen de zondvloed over de aarde kwam.
7 And he went Noah and sons his and wife his and [the] wives of sons his with him into the ark because of [the] waters of the flood.
En voor het water van de zondvloed vluchtte Noë in de ark met zijn zonen, zijn vrouw en de vrouwen van zijn zonen.
8 Of the animal[s] clean and of the animal[s] which not [was] it clean and of the bird[s] and all that [was] creeping on the ground.
Van de reine en onreine dieren, van de vogels, en van al wat over de aarde kruipt,
9 Two two they came to Noah into the ark male and female just as he had commanded God Noah.
kwam telkens een paar, mannetje en wijfje, naar Noë binnen de ark, zoals God Noë geboden had.
10 And it was to [the] seven the days and [the] waters of the flood they were on the earth.
En op de zevende dag stortten de wateren van de zondvloed over de aarde.
11 In year six hundred year of [the] life of Noah in the month second on [the] seven-teen day of the month on the day this they were split open all [the] springs of [the] deep great and [the] floodgates of the heavens they were opened.
In het zeshonderdste levensjaar van Noë, in de tweede maand, op de zeven en twintigste dag van de maand, toen braken alle kolken los van de geweldige afgrond, en werden de sluizen van de hemel geopend;
12 And it was the rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s].
er stortte een regen op de aarde, veertig dagen en veertig nachten.
13 On [the] substance of the day this he went Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth [the] sons of Noah and [the] wife of Noah and [the] three [the] wives of sons his with them into the ark.
Nog diezelfde dag ging Noë in de ark met Sem, Cham en Jáfet, de zonen van Noë, met de vrouw van Noë en de drie vrouwen van zijn zonen;
14 They and every animal to kind its and all the livestock to kind its and every creeping thing which creeps on the earth to kind its and every bird to kind its every bird every wing.
zijzelf met alle soorten van wilde en tamme dieren, met alle soorten van wat er over de aarde kruipt, met alle soorten van vogels, alles wat veren en vleugels heeft.
15 And they came to Noah into the ark two two of all flesh which [was] in it [the] breath of life.
In paren kwamen alle levende wezens naar Noë in de ark:
16 And those [which] came male and female of all flesh they came just as he had commanded him God and he closed Yahweh behind him.
zij kwamen naar het bevel van God: mannetje en wijfje van al wat leeft. En Jahweh deed de deur achter hen dicht.
17 And it was the flood forty day[s] on the earth and they increased the waters and they lifted the ark and it rose from on the earth.
Toen kwam de zondvloed over de aarde, veertig dagen lang. De wateren stegen, en droegen de ark, zodat zij zich van de aarde verhief.
18 And they increased the waters and they increased exceedingly on the earth and it went the ark on [the] surface of the waters.
Nog bleef het water wassen en stijgen op aarde, en de ark dreef op het water voort.
19 And the waters they increased exceedingly exceedingly on the earth and they were covered all the mountains high which [were] under all the heavens.
Hoger en hoger klommen de wateren op aarde, zodat zelfs de hoogste bergen, die onder heel de hemel zijn, werden bedekt.
20 Fif-teen cubit[s] from to above they increased the waters and they were covered the mountains.
Vijftien ellen steeg het water boven de bergen, zodat ze helemaal bedolven werden.
21 And it died all flesh - which crept on the earth among the bird[s] and among the livestock and among the animal[s] and among every swarming thing which swarms on the earth and every human.
Alle schepselen kwamen om, alles wat zich op de aarde beweegt: vogels, tamme en wilde dieren met al wat over de aarde kruipt; en eveneens alle mensen.
22 All that [the] breath of [the] breath of life [was] in nostrils its from all that [was] on the dry ground they died.
Alles stierf, wat op het droge leefde met levensadem in zijn neus.
23 And he wiped out all the existence - which - [was] on [the] surface of the ground from humankind unto animal[s] unto creeping thing[s] and unto [the] bird[s] of the heavens and they were wiped out from the earth and he was left only Noah and which [were] with him in the ark.
Al wat op aarde bestond, werd verzwolgen; mens, viervoetige dieren, kruipende dieren en vogels in de lucht werden van de aarde verdelgd. Noë alleen, en wat met hem in de ark was, bleef over.
24 And they increased the waters on the earth fifty and one hundred day[s].
De wateren hielden de aarde honderd vijftig dagen bedekt.
