Genesis 50
1 And he fell Joseph on [the] face of father his and he wept over him and he kissed him.
José fue y abrazó a su padre, llorando sobre él y besándolo.
2 And he commanded Joseph servants his the physicians to embalm father his and they embalmed the physicians Israel.
Luego José instruyó a los médicos que trabajaban para él que embalsamaran el cuerpo de su padre. Así que los médicos embalsamaron a Israel.
3 And they were completed for him forty day[s] for thus they were completed [the] days of the embalming and they wept for him Egypt seventy day[s].
Esto tomó 40 días, el tiempo normal para el proceso, y los egipcios lloraron por él durante 70 días.
4 And they passed [the] days of weeping his and he spoke Joseph to [the] household of Pharaoh saying if please I have found favor in view your speak please in [the] ears of Pharaoh saying.
Una vez terminado el tiempo de luto, José dijo a los oficiales del Faraón: “Si son tan amables, por favor hablen con el Faraón en mi nombre y explíquenle que
5 Father my he made swear an oath me saying here! I [am] about to die in grave my which I dug for myself in [the] land of Canaan there you will bury me and therefore let me go up please so I may bury father my and I will return.
mi padre me hizo hacer un juramento, diciéndome: ‘Debes enterrarme en la tumba que he preparado para mí en Canaán’. Por favor, permíteme ir a enterrar a mi padre y luego volveré”.
6 And he said Pharaoh go up and bury father your just as he made swear you.
El Faraón respondió: “Ve y entierra a tu padre como te hizo jurar”.
7 And he went up Joseph to bury father his and they went up with him all [the] servants of Pharaoh [the] elders of household his and all [the] elders of [the] land of Egypt.
José fue a enterrar a su padre, y todos los oficiales del Faraón fueron con él, todos los consejeros principales del Faraón y todos los líderes de Egipto,
8 And all [the] household of Joseph and brothers his and [the] household of father his only little one[s] their and sheep their and cattle their they left in [the] land of Goshen.
así como la familia de José, sus hermanos y la familia de su padre. Sólo dejaron a los niños pequeños y sus rebaños y manadas en Gosén.
9 And it went up with him both chariotry as well as horsemen and it was the company numerous very.
Fueron acompañados por carros y jinetes, una procesión muy grande.
10 And they came to [the] threshing floor of Atad which [is] on [the] other side of the Jordan and they lamented there a lament great and heavy very and he made for father his mourning seven days.
Cuando llegaron a la era de Atad, al otro lado del Jordán, lloraron con gritos de dolor. José celebró una ceremonia de siete días de luto por su padre allí.
11 And he saw [the] inhabitant[s] of the land the Canaanite[s] the mourning at [the] threshing floor of Atad and they said [is] mourning heavy this for Egypt there-fore someone called name its Abel Mizraim which [is] on [the] other side of the Jordan.
Los cananeos que vivían allí vieron la ceremonia de duelo en la era de Atad. Dijeron: “Este es un momento muy triste de luto para los egipcios”, así que rebautizaron el lugar como Abel-Mizraim, que está al otro lado del Jordán.
12 And they did sons his for him thus just as he had commanded them.
Los hijos de Jacob hicieron lo que él les había ordenado.
13 And they carried him sons his [the] land of towards Canaan and they buried him in [the] cave of [the] field of Machpelah which he had bought Abraham the field to a possession of a burial site from with Ephron the Hittite on [the] face of Mamre.
Llevaron su cuerpo a Canaán y lo enterraron en la cueva de Macpela, en el campo cerca de Mamre, el cual Abraham le había comprado a Efrón el hitita como lugar de sepultura.
14 And he went back Joseph Egypt towards he and brothers his and all those [who] had gone up with him to bury father his after had buried he father his.
Después de enterrar a su padre, José y sus hermanos regresaron a Egipto junto con todos los que habían ido con ellos.
15 And they saw [the] brothers of Joseph that he had died father their and they said if he will bear a grudge us Joseph and certainly he will repay to us all the harm which we dealt out to him.
Sin embargo, ahora que su padre había muerto, los hermanos de José se preocuparon diciendo: “Tal vez José nos guarde rencor y nos pague por todas las cosas malas que le hicimos”.
16 And they commanded to Joseph saying father your he commanded before death his saying.
Así que enviaron un mensaje a José para decirle: “Antes de que tu padre muriera, dio esta orden,
17 Thus you will say to Joseph we beg you forgive please [the] transgression of brothers your and sin their for evil they dealt out to you and now forgive please to [the] transgression of [the] servants of [the] God of father your and he wept Joseph when spoke they to him.
‘Esto es lo que debes decirle a José: Perdona a tus hermanos sus pecados, las cosas malas que te hicieron, tratándote de una manera tan desagradable’. Ahora, por favor, perdona nuestros pecados, nosotros que somos siervos del Dios de tu padre”. Cuando José recibió el mensaje, lloró.
18 And they went also brothers his and they fell before him and they said here we [belong] to you to slaves.
Entonces sus hermanos vinieron y se postraron ante José y le dijeron: “¡Somos tus esclavos!”
19 And he said to them Joseph may not you fear that ¿ in place of God [am] I.
“¡No necesitan tener miedo!” les dijo. “No me pongo en el lugar de Dios, ¿verdad?
20 And you you planned on me harm God he planned it for good so as to act as the day this to preserve alive a people numerous.
Aunque ustedes conspiraron cosas malas para mí, Dios planeó para el bien, a fin de que muchas vidas pudieran ser salvadas.
21 And therefore may not you fear I I will provide for you and little one[s] your and he comforted them and he spoke to heart their.
Así que no se preocupen. Seguiré cuidando de ustedes y de sus hijos”. Hablando amablemente así los calmó.
22 And he remained Joseph in Egypt he and [the] household of father his and he lived Joseph one hundred and ten years.
Y José permaneció en Egipto, junto con toda la familia de su padre. Vivió hasta los 110 años,
23 And he saw Joseph of Ephraim sons of a third generation also [the] sons of Makir [the] son of Manasseh they were born on [the] knees of Joseph.
y vio tres generaciones de su hijo Efraín, y los hijos de Maquir, el hijo de Manasés, fueron puestos en su regazo cuando nacieron.
24 And he said Joseph to brothers his I [am] about to die and God certainly he will visit you and he will bring up you from the land this to the land which he swore to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob.
“Voy a morir pronto”, les dijo José a sus hermanos, “pero Dios estará con ustedes, y los llevará fuera de este país a la tierra que juró dar a Abraham, Isaac y Jacob”.
25 And he made to swear an oath Joseph [the] sons of Israel saying certainly he will visit God you and you will bring up bones my from here.
José hizo jurar a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: “Cuando Dios venga a estar con ustedes, deben llevarse mis huesos cuando se vayan”.
26 And he died Joseph a son of one hundred and ten years and people embalmed him and he was put in the coffin in Egypt.
José murió cuando tenía 110 años. Después de que su cuerpo fue embalsamado, fue colocado en un ataúd en Egipto.
