< Genesis 48 >

1 And it was after the things these and someone said to Joseph there! father your [is] sick and he took [the] two sons his with him Manasseh and Ephraim.
Nda dooꞌ sa ma, atahori rema rafadꞌe Yusuf rae ama na namahedꞌi. De no ana nara ruꞌa se, Manase ma Efraim, reu seꞌu baꞌi Yakob na.
2 And someone told to Jacob and he said here! son your Joseph he has come to you and he strengthened himself Israel and he sat on the bed.
Yakob rena Yusuf se rema ma, ana naꞌamamateꞌ ao na endoꞌ sia koi.
3 And he said Jacob to Joseph God Almighty he appeared to me at Luz in [the] land of Canaan and he blessed me.
Ana nafadꞌe Yusuf nae, “Ana Usu e! Lamatualain koasa manaseli na, natudꞌu Ao na nema au mia kambo Lus sia rae Kanaꞌan. Sia naa, Ana helu au,
4 And he said to me here I [am] about to make fruitful you and I will multiply you and I will make you a company of peoples and I will give the land this to offspring your after you a possession of perpetuity.

5 And now [the] two sons your who were born to you in [the] land of Egypt until came I to you Egypt towards [belong] to me they Ephraim and Manasseh like Reuben and Simeon they will be[long] to me.

6 And offspring your whom you have fathered after them to you they will be[long] on [the] name of brothers their they will be called in inheritance their.

7 And I - when came I from Paddan she died on me Rachel in [the] land of Canaan on the journey at yet a distance of land to go Ephrathah and I buried her there on [the] journey of Ephrath that [is] Beth-lehem.

8 And he saw Israel [the] sons of Joseph and he said who? [are] these.
Yakob olaꞌ basa ma, ana botiꞌ mata na, nita Yusuf ana nara sia naa. Natane Yusuf nae, “We! Seka ana nara ia ra?”
9 And he said Joseph to father his [are] sons my they whom he has given to me God in this [place] and he said fetch them please to me so I may bless them.
Yusuf nataa nae, “Anaꞌ ia ra, Lamatualain fee au sia Masir ia.” Yakob olaꞌ nae, “Mete ma taꞌo naa, naa mo se deka ro au, fo au hule-oꞌe Lamatualain fee papala-babꞌanggiꞌ neu se.”
10 And [the] eyes of Israel they were heavy from old age not he was able to see and he brought near them to him and he kissed them and he embraced them.
Yakob lasiꞌ ena, de mata nara poke ena. Naa de ana nda nita malole sa. Yusuf no ana nara, deka ro Yakob, de ana holu ma idu se.
11 And he said Israel to Joseph to see face your not I judged and here! he has shown me God also offspring your.
Ana olaꞌ no Yusuf nae, “Dꞌoo basa ia, au duꞌa na, nda undaa o nggo sa ena. Te ia naa, Lamatualain tao lenaꞌ naa fai, sambe au o feꞌe ita ana mara.”
12 And he took Joseph them from with knees his and he bowed down to face his [the] ground towards.

13 And he took Joseph [the] two of them Ephraim at right [hand] his from [the] left of Israel and Manasseh at left [hand] his from [the] right of Israel and he brought [them] near to him.

14 And he stretched out Israel right [hand] his and he put [it] on [the] head of Ephraim and he [was] the young and left [hand] his on [the] head of Manasseh he laid cross-wise hands his for Manasseh [was] the firstborn.
Yakob loo lima na fo hule-oꞌe fee se, te ana lali lima ona na neu Efraim langga na, ma lima dii na neu Manase langga na.
15 And he blessed Joseph and he said God whom they walked about fathers my before him Abraham and Isaac God who shepherded me from duration my until the day this.
Ana hule-oꞌe noꞌe Lamatualain pala-banggi fee Yusuf nae, “Ho baꞌi Isak ma no ama na Abraham, ruꞌa se tungga Lamatualain hiihii-nanau na. Lamatualain o naꞌaboi au mia feꞌe soru ngga losa oras ia.
16 The angel who has redeemed me from all harm may he bless the lads and may it be called in them name my and [the] name of fathers my Abraham and Isaac and may they multiply to abundance in [the] midst of the earth.
Ana mboꞌi au mia basa deꞌulakaꞌ ra. De au o oꞌe fo Ana pala banggi fee anaꞌ ia ra ro tititi-nonosi nara. Boe ma, mete ma ara hule-oe neu Lamatualain, ara afiꞌ liliiꞌ ingga baꞌi Abraham, baꞌi Isak, ma au nara ngga. Fo tititi-nonosi nara boe ramaheta, dadꞌi leo monaeꞌ sia raefafoꞌ ia.”
17 And he saw Joseph that he will put father his [the] hand of right his on [the] head of Ephraim and it was displeasing in view his and he grasped [the] hand of father his to remove it from on [the] head of Ephraim on [the] head of Manasseh.
Yusuf nita aman tao lima ona na neu Efraim langga na, de ana toꞌu aman lima na, ma lali nisiꞌ Manase langga na.
18 And he said Joseph to father his not thus O father my for this [is] the firstborn put right [hand] your on head his.
Nafadꞌe ama na nae, “Amaꞌ e! Afiꞌ tao taꞌo naa. Te Efraim odꞌiꞌ. Eni nda ana uluꞌ sa. Amaꞌ musi tao lima ona ma sia Manase langga na ata. Huu naa, ana uluꞌ a hak na.”
19 And he refused father his and he said I know O son my I know also he he will become a people and also he he will become great and but brother his young he will become great more than him and offspring his it will be [the] fullness of the nations.
Te ama na Yakob nda nau sa. Olaꞌ nae, “Ana ngge. Au memaꞌ uhine. Te dei fo Manase dadꞌi manaseliꞌ, ma tititi-nonosi nara o ramaheta losa dadꞌi leo monaeꞌ. Te odꞌi na Efraim, dei fo lenaꞌ e fai. Tititi-nonosi nara, nae na seli losa ara dadꞌi leo hetar manaseliꞌ fai.”
20 And he blessed them on the day that saying by you it will bless Israel saying may he make you God like Ephraim and like Manasseh and he put Ephraim before Manasseh.
De ana nafadꞌe ana karuꞌaꞌ ra nae, “Dei fo mete ma atahori Israꞌel roꞌe Lamatualain pala banggi fee atahori, ara ingga hei ruꞌa nggi nara mara boe. Ara roꞌe rae, ‘Hule-huleꞌ a Lamatualain pala banggi fee nggo, onaꞌ a Ana fee Efraim no Manase.’” No taꞌo naa, Yakob ingga Efraim naran naꞌahuluꞌ aꞌan Manase naran.
21 And he said Israel to Joseph here! I [am] about to die and he will be God with you and he will bring back you to [the] land of fathers your.
Boe ma Yakob nafadꞌe Yusuf nae, “Ana ngge! Nda dooꞌ sa, te au mate. Te dei fo Lamatualain tulu-fali hei, ma no baliꞌ hei misiꞌ bei-baꞌiꞌ mara nusa na.
22 And I I give to you a shoulder one over brothers your which I took from [the] hand of the Amorite[s] by sword my and by bow my.
Te ia naa, au fee nggo lenaꞌ odꞌi-aꞌa mara. Au fee seluꞌ nggo mbukuꞌ sia rae Kanaꞌan fo dalahulu na au haꞌi mia atahori Amori leleꞌ utati o se.”
