Genesis 43
1 And the famine [was] heavy in the land.
১তখন কানন দেশে খুব দূর্ভিক্ষ ছিল।
2 And it was just when they finished to eat the grain which they had brought from Egypt and he said to them father their go back buy for us a little of food.
২আর তাঁরা মিশর থেকে যে শস্য এনেছিলেন, সে সমস্ত খাওয়া হয়ে গেলে তাঁদের বাবা তাঁদেরকে বললেন, “তোমরা আবার যাও, আমাদের জন্য কিছু খাবার কিনে আন।”
3 And he said to him Judah saying certainly he warned us the man saying not you will see face my except brother your [is] with you.
৩তখন যিহূদা তাঁকে বললেন, “সেই ব্যক্তি দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞা করে আমাদেরকে বলেছেন, তোমাদের ভাই তোমাদের সঙ্গে না এলে তোমরা আমার মুখ দেখতে পাবে না।
4 If there you [are] sending brother our with us we will go down and we will buy for you food.
৪যদি তুমি আমাদের সঙ্গে আমাদের ভাইকে পাঠাও, তবে আমরা গিয়ে তোমার জন্য খাবার কিনে আনব।
5 And if not you [are] sending [him] not we will go down for the man he said to us not you will see face my except brother your [is] with you.
৫কিন্তু যদি না পাঠাও, তবে যাব না;” কারণ সে ব্যক্তি আমাদেরকে বলেছেন, “তোমাদের ভাই তোমাদের সঙ্গে না আসলে তোমরা আমার মুখ দেখতে পাবে না।”
6 And he said Israel why? did you do harm to me by telling to the man ¿ still [belong] to you [does] a brother.
৬তখন ইস্রায়েল বললেন, “আমার সঙ্গে এমন খারাপ ব্যবহার কেন করেছ? ঐ ব্যক্তিকে কেন বলেছ যে, তোমাদের আর এক ভাই আছে?”
7 And they said carefully he asked the man of us and of kindred our saying ¿ still [is] father your living ¿ [does] there [belong] to you a brother and we told to him on [the] mouth of the words these ¿ really did we know that he will say bring down brother your.
৭তাঁরা বললেন, “তিনি আমাদের বিষয়ে ও আমাদের বংশের বিষয়ে বিস্তারিতভাবে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন,” বললেন, “তোমাদের বাবা কি এখনও জীবিত আছেন? তোমাদের কি আরো ভাই আছে?” তাতে আমরা সেই কথা অনুসারে উত্তর করেছিলাম। আমরা কিভাবে জানব যে, তিনি বলবেন, “তোমাদের ভাইকে এখানে আন?”
8 And he said Judah to Israel father his send! the young man with me so let us arise and we will go and we may live and not we will die both we as well as you as well as little one[s] our.
৮যিহূদা নিজের বাবা ইস্রায়েলকে আরও বললেন, “বালকটিকে আমার সঙ্গে পাঠিয়ে দাও; আমরা উঠে চলে যাই, তাতে তুমি ও আমাদের বালকেরা ও আমরা বাঁচব; কেউ মরব না।
9 I I will stand surety for him from hand my you will require him if not I have brought him to you and I will set him before you and I will be culpable to you all the days.
৯আমিই তার জামিন হলাম, আমারই হাত থেকে তাকে নিও, আমি যদি তোমার কাছে তাকে না আনি, তোমার সামনে তাকে উপস্থিত না করি, তবে আমি যাবজ্জীবন তোমার কাছে অপরাধী থাকব।
10 For if not we had delayed for now we have returned this two times.
১০এত দেরী না করলে আমরা এর মধ্যে দ্বিতীয় বার ফিরে আসতে পারতাম।”
11 And he said to them Israel father their if so - then this do take some of [the] best products of the land in vessels your and take down to the man a gift a little of balm and a little of honey spice and myrrh pistachio nuts and almonds.
১১তখন তাঁদের বাবা ইস্রায়েল তাঁদেরকে বললেন, “যদি তাই হয়, তবে এক কাজ কর; তোমরা নিজের নিজের পাত্রে এই দেশের সেরা জিনিস, গুগগুলু, মধু, সুগন্ধি জিনিস, গন্ধরস, পেস্তা ও বাদাম কিছু কিছু নিয়ে গিয়ে সেই ব্যক্তিকে উপহার দাও।
12 And silver double take in hand your and the silver that was returned in [the] mouth of sacks your you will take back in hand your perhaps [was] a mistake it.
১২আর নিজের নিজের হাতে দ্বিগুন টাকা নাও এবং তোমাদের থলির মুখে যে টাকা ফিরে এসেছে তাও হাতে করে আবার নিয়ে যাও কি জানি বা ভুল হয়েছিল
13 And brother your take and arise go back to the man.
১৩আর তোমাদের ভাইকে নাও, ওঠ, আবার সেই ব্যক্তির কাছে যাও।
14 And God Almighty may he give to you compassion before the man and he will let go to you brother your other and Benjamin and I just when I have been bereaved I have been bereaved.
১৪সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর তোমাদেরকে সেই ব্যক্তির কাছে করুণার পাত্র করুন, যেন তিনি তোমাদের অন্য ভাইকে ও বিন্যামীনকে ছেড়ে দেন। আর যদি আমাকে পুত্রহীন হতে হয়, তবে পুত্রহীন হলাম।”
15 And they took the men the gift this and double money they took in hand their and Benjamin and they arose and they went down Egypt and they stood before Joseph.
১৫তখন তারা সেই উপহারের জিনিস নিলেন, আর হাতে দ্বিগুন টাকা ও বিন্যামীনকে নিয়ে যাত্রা করলেন এবং মিশরে গিয়ে যোষেফের সামনে দাঁড়ালেন।
16 And he saw Joseph with them Benjamin and he said to [the one] who [was] over household his bring the men the house towards and slaughter a slaughter and prepare [it] for with me they will eat the men at noon.
১৬যোষেফ তাদের সঙ্গে বিন্যামীনকে দেখে নিজের বাড়ির পরিচারককে বললেন, “এই কজন লোককে বাড়ির ভিতরে নিয়ে যাও, আর পশু মেরে খাবার তৈরী কর; কারণ এরা দুপুরে আমার সঙ্গে খাবে।”
17 And he did the man just as he said Joseph and he brought the man the men [the] house of towards Joseph.
১৭সেই ব্যক্তিকে, যোষেফ যেমন বললেন, সেরকম করল, তাদেরকে যোষেফের বাড়িতে নিয়ে গেল।
18 And they were afraid the men that they were brought [the] house of Joseph and they said on [the] matter of the silver which returned in sacks our at the beginning we [are] being brought to roll himself on us and to throw himself on us and to take us to slaves and donkeys our.
১৮কিন্তু যোষেফের বাড়িতে উপস্থিত হওয়াতে তাঁরা ভয় পেলেন ও পরস্পর বললেন, “আগে আমাদের থলিতে যে টাকা ফিরে গিয়েছিল, তারই জন্য ইনি আমাদেরকে এখানে নিয়ে এসেছেন; এখন আমাদের ওপরে পড়ে আক্রমণ করবেন ও আমাদের গাধা নিয়ে আমাদেরকে দাস করে রাখবেন।”
19 And they approached the man who [was] over [the] household of Joseph and they spoke to him [the] entrance of the house.
১৯অতএব তাঁরা যোষেফের বাড়ির পরিচালকের কাছে গিয়ে বাড়ির দরজায় তার সঙ্গে কথা বললেন,
20 And they said pardon us O lord my certainly we came down at the beginning to buy food.
২০“মহাশয়, আমারা আগে খাবার কিনতে এসেছিলাম;
21 And it was that we came to the lodging place and we opened! sacks our and there! [the] silver of each man [was] in [the] mouth of sack his silver our in weight its and we have brought back it in hand our.
২১পরে ভাড়া নেওয়া জায়গায় গিয়ে নিজের নিজের থলে খুললাম, আর দেখুন, প্রত্যেক জনের থলের মুখে তার টাকা, যেমন আমাদের আনা টাকা আছে; তা আমরা আবার হাতে করে এনেছি;
22 And silver other we have brought down in hand our to buy food not we know who? did he put silver our in sacks our.
২২এবং খাবার কেনার জন্য আরো টাকা এনেছি; আমাদের সেই টাকা আমাদের থলেতে কে রেখেছিল, তা আমরা জানি না।”
23 And he said peace [be] to you may not you fear God your and [the] God of father your he gave to you treasure in sacks your silver your it came to me and he brought out to them Simeon.
২৩সেই ব্যক্তি বলল, “তোমাদের মঙ্গল হোক, ভয় কর না; তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, তোমাদের পৈতৃক ঈশ্বর তোমাদের থলেতে তোমাদেরকে গুপ্ত ধন দিয়েছেন; আমি তোমাদের টাকা পেয়েছি।” পরে সে শিমিয়োনকে তাঁদের কাছে আনল।
24 And he brought the man the men [the] house of towards Joseph and he gave water and they washed feet their and he gave fodder to donkeys their.
২৪আর সে তাঁদেরকে যোষেফের বাড়ির ভিতরে নিয়ে গিয়ে জল দিল, তাতে তাঁরা পা ধুলেন এবং সে তাঁদের গাধাগুলিকে খাবার দিল।
25 And they prepared the gift until came Joseph at noon for they had heard that there they will eat food.
২৫আর দুপুরে যোষেফ আসবেন বলে তাঁরা উপহার সাজালেন, কারণ তাঁরা শুনেছিলেন যে, সেখানে তাঁদেরকে খাবার খেতে হবে।
26 And he came Joseph the house towards and they brought to him the gift which [was] in hand their the house towards and they bowed down to him [the] ground towards.
২৬পরে যোষেফ বাড়ি ফিরে এলে তাঁরা হাতের ওপরে রাখা উপহার ঘরের মধ্যে তাঁর কাছে আনলেন, ও তাঁর সামনে মাটিতে নত হলেন।
27 And he asked of them to welfare and he said ¿ health [is] father your old whom you spoke ¿ [is] still he alive.
২৭তখন তিনি ভালো-মন্দ জিজ্ঞাসা করে তাঁদেরকে বললেন, “তোমাদের যে বৃদ্ধ বাবার কথা বলেছিলে, তিনি ভালো তো? তিনি কি এখনও জীবিত আছেন?”
28 And they said health [belongs] to servant your to father our still he [is] alive and they bowed low (and they bowed down. *Q(K)*)
২৮তাঁরা বললেন, “আপনার দাস আমাদের বাবা ভালো আছেন, তিনি এখনও জীবিত আছেন।” পরে তাঁরা উপুড় হয়ে প্রণাম করলেন।
29 And he lifted up eyes his and he saw Benjamin brother his [the] son of mother his and he said ¿ [is] this brother your young whom you spoke to me and he said God may he show favor to you O son my.
২৯তখন যোষেফ চোখ তুলে নিজের ভাই বিন্যামীনকে, নিজের ভাইকে দেখে বললেন, “তোমাদের যে ছোট ভাইয়ের কথা আমাকে বলেছিলে, সে কি এই?” আর তিনি বললেন, “বৎস, ঈশ্বর তোমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করুন।”
30 And he hurried Joseph for they grew warm compassion his to brother his and he sought to weep and he went the inner room towards and he wept there.
৩০তখন যোষেফ তাড়াতাড়ি করলেন, কারণ তাঁর ভাইয়ের জন্য তাঁর প্রাণ কাঁদছিল, তাই তিনি কাঁদবার জায়গা খুঁজলেন, আর নিজের ঘরে প্রবেশ করে সেখানে কাঁদলেন।
31 And he washed face his and he came out and he restrained himself and he said set food.
৩১পরে তিনি মুখ ধুয়ে বাইরে আসলেন ও নিজেকে সামলে খাবার পরিবেশন করতে আদেশ দিলেন।
32 And they set for him to only him and to them to alone them and for the Egyptians who were eating with him to alone them for not they were able! the Egyptians to eat with the Hebrews food for [is] an abomination it to Egypt.
৩২তখন তাঁর জন্য আলাদা ও তাঁর ভাইদের জন্য আলাদা এবং তাঁর সঙ্গে ভোজনকারী মিশরীয়দের জন্য আলাদা পরিবেশন করা হল, কারণ ইব্রীয়দের সঙ্গে মিশরীয়েরা খাবার খায় না; কারণ তা মিশরীয়দের ঘৃণার কাজ।
33 And they sat down before him the firstborn according to birthright his and the young [brother] according to youth his and they looked in astonishment the men each to neighbor his.
৩৩আর তাঁরা যোষেফের সামনে বড় বড়র জায়গায় ও ছোট ছোটর জায়গায় বসলেন; তখন তাঁরা পরস্পর আশ্চর্য্য বলে মনে করলেন।
34 And someone took portions from with face his to them and it was great [the] portion of Benjamin more than [the] portions of all of them five hands and they drank and they became drunk with him.
৩৪আর তিনি নিজের সামনে থেকে খাবারের অংশ তুলে তাঁদেরকে পরিবেশন করালেন; কিন্তু সবার অংশ থেকে বিন্যামীনের অংশ পাঁচ গুণ বেশি ছিল। পরে তাঁরা পান করলেন ও তাঁর সঙ্গে আনন্দিত হলেন।
