< Genesis 40 >

1 And it was after the things these they sinned [the] cup bearer of [the] king of Egypt and the baker to master their to [the] king of Egypt.
Oluvannyuma lw’ebyo omusenero wa kabaka w’e Misiri wamu n’omukulu wa bafumbi be ne banyiiza mukama waabwe kabaka w’e Misiri.
2 And he was angry Pharaoh towards two of officials his towards [the] chief of the cup bearers and towards [the] chief of the bakers.
Falaawo n’asunguwalira nnyo abakungu be abo: omusenero n’omukulu w’abafumbi,
3 And he put them in [the] custody of [the] house of [the] commander of the bodyguards into [the] house of the prison [the] place where Joseph [was] imprisoned there.
n’abawaayo mu mikono gy’omukulu w’ekkomera, Yusufu mwe yali.
4 And he appointed [the] commander of the bodyguards Joseph with them and he served them and they were days in custody.
Omukulu w’ekkomera n’abawa Yusufu okubakuuma, n’abalabirira, ne babeera mu kkomera.
5 And they dreamed a dream both of them each own dream his in a night one each according to [the] interpretation of dream his the cup bearer and the baker who [belonged] to [the] king of Egypt who [were] imprisoned in [the] house of the prison.
Naye ekiro kimu omusenero n’omukulu wa bafumbi aba kabaka w’e Misiri abaali mu kkomera ne baloota, buli omu ekirooto kye, era nga buli kimu kirina amakulu gaakyo.
6 And he came to them Joseph in the morning and he saw them and [were] they looking dejected.
Yusufu bwe yajja gye bali ku makya, n’abalaba nga beeraliikirivu.
7 And he asked [the] officials of Pharaoh who [were] with him in [the] custody of [the] house of master his saying why? [are] faces your sad this day.
N’alyoka abuuza abakungu ba Falaawo abaali naye mu kkomera, mu nnyumba ya mukama waabwe nti, “Lwaki leero mulabika nga mweraliikiridde?”
8 And they said to him a dream we dreamed and [is one who] interprets there not it and he said to them Joseph ¿ not [belong] to God [do] interpretations recount [it] please to me.
Ne bamuddamu nti, “Twaloose ebirooto, naye tewali wa kubivvuunula.” Awo Yusufu n’abagamba nti, “Katonda y’abivvuunula. Kale mbasaba mubimbuulire.”
9 And he recounted [the] chief of the cup bearers dream his to Joseph and he said to him in dream my and there! a vine [was] before me.
Awo omusenero n’ategeeza Yusufu ekirooto kye n’agamba nti, “Nalabye omuti omutiini mu kirooto.
10 And [were] on the vine three branches and it when [it was] budding it went up blossom its they ripened clusters its grapes.
Ku mutiini nga kuliko amatabi asatu, gwabadde gwakatojjera ne gumulisa, ebirimba ne bibaako zabbibu ennyengevu.
11 And [the] cup of Pharaoh [was] in hand my and I took the grapes and I squeezed them into [the] cup of Pharaoh and I put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
Nga nkute ekikopo kya Falaawo mu ngalo zange, ne nzirira zabbibu ne nzikamulira mu kikopo kya Falaawo, ne nkimukwasa.”
12 And he said to him Joseph this [is] interpretation its [the] three the branches [are] three days they.
Yusufu n’alyoka amugamba nti, “Gano ge makulu gaakyo: amatabi asatu, ze nnaku esatu;
13 In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your and he will restore you to office your and you will put [the] cup of Pharaoh in hand his according to the custom former when you were cup bearer his.
mu nnaku ssatu Falaawo alikuggya mu kkomera n’akuzza mu kifo kyo, era olimukwasa ekikopo nga bwe wakolanga edda ng’oli musenero we.
14 That except you have remembered me with you when it will go well for you and you will do please with me loyalty and you will bring to remembrance me to Pharaoh and you will bring out me from the house this.
Kyokka onzijukiranga ng’otuuse mu maaso ga Falaawo, onzijukiranga n’onjogerako gy’ali nkwegayiridde, alyoke anzigye mu kkomera.
15 For certainly I was stolen from [the] land of the Hebrews and also here not I have done anything that they have put me in the pit.
Kubanga ddala naggyibwa buggyibwa mu nsi y’Abaebulaniya; ate na wano sirina kye nakola kinsaanyiza kuteekebwa mu kkomera.”
16 And he saw [the] chief of the bakers that good he had interpreted and he said to Joseph also I in dream my and there! three baskets of white bread [were] on head my.
Omukulu w’abafumbi ba Falaawo bwe yalaba ng’amakulu g’ekirooto ky’oli gaali malungi, n’agamba Yusufu nti, “Nange naloose ekirooto: nga neetisse ku mutwe ebibbo by’emigaati bisatu.
17 And [was] in the basket upper some of all [the] food of Pharaoh [the] work of a baker and the bird[s] [was] eating them from the basket from on head my.
Mu kibbo ekyokusatu mwabaddemu buli ngeri ya mmere enjokye eya Falaawo. Kyokka ng’ennyonyi zigiriira ku mutwe gwange.”
18 And he answered Joseph and he said this [is] interpretation its [the] three the baskets [are] three days they.
Awo Yusufu n’amuddamu nti, “Gano ge makulu gaakyo: ebibbo ebisatu z’ennaku ssatu;
19 In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your from on you and he will hang you on a tree and it will eat the bird[s] flesh your from on you.
bwe wanaayitawo ennaku ssatu Falaawo ajja kukutemako omutwe, akuwanike ku muti, omulambo gwo guliibwe ebinyonyi.”
20 And it was - on the day third ([the] day of *LAH(b)*) being born Pharaoh and he made a feast for all servants his and he lifted up [the] head of - [the] chief of the cup bearers and [the] head of [the] chief of the bakers in among servants his.
Ku lunaku olwokusatu, lwali lunaku lwa mazaalibwa ga Falaawo, n’akolera abaweereza be bonna embaga, n’atumya omusenero n’omukulu w’abafumbi.
21 And he restored [the] chief of the cup bearers to cup bearing his and he put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
Omusenero n’amuzza ku mulimu gwe, n’atandika okuweereza Falaawo,
22 And [the] chief of the bakers he hanged just as he had interpreted for them Joseph.
kyokka ye omukulu w’abafumbi n’amuwanika ku muti, nga Yusufu bwe yavvuunula ebirooto byabwe.
23 And not he remembered [the] chief of the cup bearers Joseph and he forgot him.
Naye omusenero n’atajjukira Yusufu n’amwerabira n’atamussaako mwoyo.
